TK parent here. Yorkdale is a wonderful neighborhood school. It's seen a lot of changes over the past 100+ years in Highland Park.

Highlights:
✪ Small class sizes & individualized academics
✪ Experienced, dedicated teachers & staff
✪ Large, well-kept campus featuring a computer lab, music room, library, & auditorium
✪ After school programs and clubs
✪ Energetic & welcoming PTA

The new principal, Mr. Grass, is very open and engaged. The school is striving to become a district leader in science and technology.

As someone who has toured 20-some charter & magnet schools, I'd really encourage local parents to check it out. Yorkdale is a school on the rise!

We love this school! I am a proud Panther parent of a kindergartener at Yorkdale. There are lots of great teachers (with tenure) here. Mrs. Tang and Ms. Gange have been amazing to partner with in my sons education. Our new principle Mr. Grass is a blessing to have leading this school. He is smart, professional and most of all POSITIVE!! We are looking forward to the upcoming years as change is definitely on the horizon. In regards to below negative comments....Spirit days have begun again and was on hold due to no shirts to sell. We have now had them printed and sold and the spirit days are back on!! Go Panther Pride Friday's!!! Also, Halloween and other events are mostly driven and voted on by the PTA. So PLEASE get involved and let YOUR voice and vote be heard on all future activities for PTA events for our kids and community!! We are all in this together to build a brighter future for our children!!!

My brothers and myself attended yorkdale when we were little kids. Brings back memories knowing the school is still there.

The principle Mr. Grass is a condescending prick with a Napolean complex. 👎 He took away Spirit Day and Halloween parties. No rooting for your children during award ceremonies.
Internment Camp Elementary is more like it.
