I loved their miso broth. It’s one of the best ramen I have ever had. This is my comfort food on a rainy day. They are pretty fast about the service. It’s very heavy so be prepared to come hungry. Parking is tough, street of public parking.

Quite possibly the best Ramen I've ever had!

Stopped in on a whim with some friends.

We put our names on the list to be seated and waited about 15 minutes for a table.

Once we sat down, the service was fast, friendly, and attentive.

The food came out hot and it was delicious!

I highly recommend 👌

This ramen is top tier!! Amazing must stop in Downtown Los Angeles. Get the original Daikokuya ramen or the Spicy Miso Ramen. Both fire!!! I got a side of Spicy Miso Bomb to make ramen a bit more spicy which was nice. Definitely try the fried rice. Amazing!! Even for leftover it’s even better with some soy sauce and hot sauce. Definitely check out this LA institution and landmark.

My friend Adam, Sean & I visited Daikokuya in Little Tokyo 1st St Los Angeles. Since it was my birthday in July 1st. We ordered the world famous Daikoku Ramen for $17.00 homemade gyoza cabbage salad such as side dishes. Very expensive than I expected. Cash only I guess. Adam & Sean treated me like a teacher said thanks. Some reason I wanted order my mom homemade gyoza for togo. Most satisfying ever in my entire life.

Wonderful dining experience we had at this restaurant. We were there on a Thursday before 5pm so we didn’t have to wait. Our waiter was really helpful and efficient with everything. The broth of ramen was delicious and the noodles had the perfect texture. I enjoyed it a lot.

I ordered their Daikoku Ramen with small Pork Cutlet Bowl. It was equally tasty. So were all the other plates.

Personally I think their price is very reasonable. Their friendly staff certainly was a big part of the wonderful experience over there.

I had the tonkotsu ramen i would say one of the best ramen i ever had . The broth i slurp it all the way it's creamy and porky. Even the chasu pork bow rice is bomb. i would highly suggest this place if you want a warm, hearty ramen.

Here's a very busy restaurant in Little Tokyo. But it was totally worth the wait. The ramen is tasty, and the fried rice is awesome too!

Amazing ramen. We got the vegetarian broth which tasted just like a liquefied salad would taste like (if you like veggies this is really good). Then we also got the traditional pork bowl, it was just a savory umami mixed with some simple noodles. We got the combinations for both of these. The salad is just shredded cabbage but the dressing is a sesame miso flavor, and made the cabbage great. The rice and pork cutlets were good and helped make this a completely filling meal. The only down side was the combos are expensive

I came to Daikokuya with my parents and great aunt and had a wonderful lunch. Although there were 4-5 parties ahead of us, we only waited about 10 minutes to be seated. The staff were quick and attentive even though it was the middle of the lunch rush.

My favorite items we ordered were the tuna sashimi, gyoza, and tempura. The tuna sashimi was melt-in-your-mouth delicate, the gyoza was fried but not overcooked and had a great beef flavor, and the tempura was perfectly breaded and cooked just enough to maintain a bit of crunch.

I also enjoyed the spicy miso ramen, although it wasn’t my favorite item overall. The broth was rich and the noodles were tasty, but it just didn’t wow me—I’d give it 7.7/10. I did, however, really enjoy the soft boiled egg. It was cooked pretty much exactly right.

Overall I had a great time at Daikokuya and would certainly recommend it to anyone craving Japanese food in downtown Los Angeles. Thanks, Daikokuya!

The entire experience was amazing. We got seated within 10 minutes. I think that had to do with it pouring rain outside and it was less crowded.

Delicious ramen that was well worth the wait. We were a party of 5, and got there around 2:00. Three or four groups in front of us, but we waited maybe 10 minutes to get a table. Inside is small but goes pretty far back, the kitchen served food very quickly and staff was friendly. Excellent atmosphere.

My Ramen tasting journey continues. I've heard many good things about this place, I just have never had the change to go because it's a really small place and the wait time is usually an hour+ depending on how big your party is, but I'm so glad we stuck around this time because this is one of the best if not THE best Ramen I've ever had. I'd 100% recommend.

Amazing ramen. Got the original, kotteri style, plus gyoza and a draft Sapporo. Perfect meal. Bustling spot; had to wait even at 8p on a Sunday.

So now you have to prepay your food before you get it. Unfortunately my food was cold when I got it. And the outside tables were off balance and at an angle so I wasn't a good place to have your Ramen and your broth. What why

Tried to go back later in the day after hanging out in Little Tokyo,,,,but it was full. Line outside and the lobby area full too. But it was worth the wait. Tried new dishes this time.

Their pan fried Char Siu (BBQ Pork) had me in Heaven!!!!!

I love Tsukemon (dipping ramen) and was so pleased they had that! It did not disappoint!

We arrived at 4:45pm and put our name down. Got seated 5:15 so we didn’t have to wait too long.

The host was really nice and energetic!

They have two bathrooms for both genders. And it was pretty clean.

Our table kind of had a BO smell. Not sure if it was from the rag that cleaned it. But other than that, everything went really well!

The food lives up to the reviews! I would only add that the broth is kinda too salty. So I recommend Tsukemon so you can control how much soup is eaten with your noodles :0)

But the Char Siu was my ultimate fav! It almost tasted deep fried. *Drool*

Best ramen in LA I’ve had so far, and my first time having sushi (spicy tuna roll).

Dining atmosphere is great, very retro-Japan, although the dining room is a bit cramped. Be prepared to wait awhile for a table, or give up all your elbow space sitting at the bar.
