What a great modern art museum and in such a cool building. We got tickets for general admission + the infinity room about 3 weeks ahead of time, for free. You just have to remember to check at 10am on the last Wednesday of the month.
The tickets for the infinity room are timed but we showed up about an hour early and had time to go through the entire third floor and get in line for the infinity room, getting us to the front of the line at exactly our ticket time. We then went through the first floor room in about 15min. We loved the infinity rooms even if you only get 1min. The third floor rooms were more interesting than downstairs with larger pieces.
The building itself is great, with lots of cool dark concrete stairways. We spent about 90min here.

Amazing museum to visit if you love contemporary art! It’s not too huge to be tiring and overwhelming, so you can truly enjoy your visit! They’ve got huge collection of Roy Lichtenstein and Basquiat. Top pieces!
Loved it so much 💖
Museum is free! But you need to order tickets before.

Wonderful place to visit. This is a multilevel museum showcasing a variety of artists and artwork in a gallery style. The admission is free, and they have a quaint gift shop in the main level

This past September 2023 we had the opportunity to attend “Art Is For Everyone” - Keith Haring. As you entered the exhibition you were greeted visually by videos of the artist at work. The soundtrack is provided via vintage mixtapes of D.J. friends of the artist. This expansive exhibition included video, sculpture and paintings. These were just a few of the artists mediums that were showcased. Works represented spanned from late 1970’s - 1988. My favorite piece of the show was one of the large painted canvas tarps which depicts two of his iconic characters with hands raised in front of a large red heart. There was a quote from the artist in a looped video recording of Charles Osgood interview from CBS News in 1982 which perfectly captures the exhibition’s message,
“You don't have to know anything about art to appreciate it," Haring says in the clip. "There aren't any hidden secrets or things that you're supposed to understand." -Keith Haring

Visited this in June 2023. Place is famous for its great masterpieces and infinite mirror. They are very strict with the timing so I suggest you to book an appointment in advance and make it to right time. We really had good time seeing all the arts and creativity. The parking is complimentary if you have booked the visit with them and you need to get it reimbursed/tagged before heading back to parking lot. There are many nearby attractions like vintage cable cars. The skyline 🏙 from this place is really impressive.

LOVE! I greatly enjoy visiting this museum and seeing the great variety of pieces here. Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein are lifetime favorites and I am so glad they have exhibits here at this museum. Fantastic spot to spend an hour or so on weekends or week days.

Contemporary art museum with a lot of amazing artworks on display. While I’m not an art person, the notes accompanying the artwork are interesting and really gets you thinking. Even the elevator and stairs are so artistic! Entry is free but you need to book zero cost ticket on their website.

Excellent modern museum. It has some of the best collections I have e ever visited in an art museum. It is just amazing to view Warhol and Liechtenstein in one place. If one is visiting LA, they need to make the time and visit this place. They would not regret the time, one also need to book their time slot online to enter the place.

Free museum but you do need to register for tickets before you go in. No food and drinks and if you have a backpack, you’ll need to wear it at the front. We throughly enjoyed the free sections of the museum (floors 1 & 3) and there was so much to see. The way that they curated the artwork and the walls they used in between, it’s so easy to get lost. There were also a lot of personnel working for the museum making sure that patrons didn’t directly touch the artwork or try anything nefarious. The elevator to the third floor is pretty steep so if you’re afraid of heights, there are also stairs nearby which is fully enclosed. Only 2 stalls (for women) in the washroom on the first floor and it can get busy, but there is another washroom on the 2nd floor. Flash photography is not allowed. It was a nice museum to explore for 1-2 hours.

I visited The Broad with my daughter when she visited from Washington state recently. She had come to the art museum once before but it was my first time and I loved it! All different types of contemporary art- from literary pieces to sculptures- everything was amazing! They have paintings from well known artists like Picasso and Andy Warhol along with pieces by artists I was not familiar with .

You can visit The Broad for free and, although it doesn't require a reservation, I suggest making one online. When we arrived there were 2 sides sectioned off at the entrance. The side for people with reservations was clear and we were able to walk right up and go inside. The side for no reservations was backed up to the outside sidewalk. On the first floor there is also a section of art displayed but to see this part of the museum there is a fee. We didn't visit this part of The Broad but when I do go next time I'll pay the small fee to see this part as well!

I recommend visiting The Broad for anyone who enjoys contemporary art. The staff were all very kind and helpful as well!

You have to have reservations to go to this museum. This is a wonderful museum real spacious the art is Giant and very interesting. There's no restaurant or amenities associated with it. The hot dog cart outside on the street is the bomb.

It's free buy you should book tickets in advance to avoid waiting standby in line.
The arts displayed are modern. It's a nice place for family to hang out for a couple hours. Parking is underground and costs about $10-15.
Next door is the Walt Disney concert hall.

Loved it! An amazing collection of American art. True to its principles. No French, Dutch, Spanish etc (and I am European 🙂). You should absolutely go, if you get the chance. And it is free! Just book online in advance. Largest collection of Lichtenstein that I have ever seen in one place. Impressive. Thank you to the Broads.

Great free museum; which is rare in Los Angeles.
Not too packed, best to reserve tickets online and then show you to the museum to view the arts. It takes about 1.5 hours to go through the floors. They allow pictures. Good for children. Can catch the bus to the museum, as there are bus stops at the front. There are also lots of food trucks and eateries. The museum does not allow food or drinks.

There’s part of the museum where you have to pay, but just checking out the free exhibits was worth it too. It’ll take you roughly about 30minutes to an hour to go around but definitely longer if you’re going to read the every description of the artworks.

The humongous dining table was really fun to see. A good place to kill time if you’ve seen the other touristy places in LA.

I haven’t had this much fun in a museum in a while. Think Guggenheim, but less serious. The construction of the building is so cool - bring a light jacket. You could easily do this in an hour if you know what artists you want to see but I toured all rooms and experiences in 2-3! Plan for lines!

The Broad Museum in LA is a cool place to see modern art. They have cool exhibits like Jean-Michael Basquiat, Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, the infinity mirrored room (we didn’t get tickets since the run out fast) and so many more.

Getting around the museum is easy, and they've got signs that help you figure out what's what. It's not just for artsy people – there's something for everyone.

To make things smoother, I suggest grabbing your tickets online in advance. This way, you won't miss out on anything, especially the popular Infinity Mirrored Room.

This is a cool spot to see modern art. Plan ahead, grab your tickets online, and you're in for a good time exploring the different art they have.

What an amazing art resource to have in your city! And it's free!!! We had a delightful time walking through all of the art as well as checking out the Mirror Room exhibit. If you're in LA it's definitely worth your time. We spent about 2.5 hours to leisurely view all of the 3rd floor artworks (the Mirror Room is only viewed in 50 - 60 second increments). Thanks Eli & Edye for your commitment to modern art@

Purchase your tickets in advance!! There was hardly a wait when we went because we got tickets prehand and it was an enjoyable exhibit! My favorite free museum to go to every-time I’m in LA

This is a pretty cool free thing to do in the heart of Los Angeles. There are three floors. The first floor has an exhibit where you have to be by yourself (I don't know what it is) and there was a line to see it. There's a family restroom and a women's restroom on the first floor. The second floor you can only access from the third floor and has conference rooms, art in storage, and men's and women's restrooms. The third floor is where the magic happens. This is where the vast majority of the art is and where you will spend most of your time. There are some real impressive pieces here, particularly by Roy Liechtenstein and Andy Warhol. Genuinely really impressive exhibits. The staff are glad to share information and answer questions, nearly to a fault. They'll always say something to you, whether you ask or not.
