Outstanding food, authentically Italian, incredibly fresh ingredients. My little gems salad with anchovy was one of the very best salads I’ve had. All our dishes were excellent. Portions were large, flavors popped and presentation was attractive. Only negative was that the server seemed to have too many tables, as we had a very long wait between menu presentation and ordering. Overall, this was as good as expected, and I definitely recommend. Poggio has been a top restaurant for many years, and the praise seems deserved.

My friend and I came in from Wisco to visit family in Cali. I had been to Sausalito in visits past, so we wanted to explore this charming little place. We had planned to have Mexican but walked past this beautiful Italian restaurant and decided we were definitely craving pizza! The decor is gorgeous, very European, and the place was decorated so eloquently for Christmas. Upon arriving, we were very kindly greeted and shown to a table near the stunning wine wall. Our waitress was incredibly kind and gracious, as were the gentleman who continued to fill our water glasses. We explained that our car was in a metered space and we had a little more than an hour to enjoy a lovely meal. We asked if that could be possible. Our waitress thanked us for letting her know up front and stated that it would be no problem. The service ant Paggio is above and beyond! Being Italian myself, with two parents who emigrated to Wisco in the late 60s, I must say that my margherita pizza was so fantastic! The flavors were delicate and separately highlighted beautifully! The crust was perfect and the quality of ingredients were fantastic! I loved being presented with small little cups of hot red pepper flakes and delicious grated cheese to add to my pizza. Thank you for your kindness, your gracious care and service. To anyone considering trying out Paggio’s, please do not hesitate to stop in! Prices were amazingly fair and we will be talking about this place for many years and stories to come! Xxoo Paggio staff!

I am really glad we got this recommendation! They were quickly able to seat our group of 9. The tuna tartar was exquisite! The Halibut with the steamed spinach, carrots and creamy mashed potatoes were phenomenal. Not to mention the non stop great service! Too bad I don't live in the bay area, otherwise this would be a very frequent spot!

Spectacular restaurant! Terrific service Armando was our exceptional waiter in a beautiful elegant setting. Everything we ordered was delicious served at the right temperature and presented beautifully and the portions were large. I highly recommend the chicken liver mousse and corn ricotta angliotti. The wine list is excellent.
I wished I lived in Sausalito so I could dine there all the time.

Went here on the recommendation of a friend who lives in Marin County and calls this her favorite restaurant. We weren’t disappointed!

My wife and I both got the pollo, a half chicken with yukon potatoes, veggies, and some fruits. The chicken was excellent, as were the potatoes. My wife enjoyed the fruits and veggies (not my thing).

We also got the sourdough bread with butter (fine, nothing special). My coworker got the veggie pizza and said it was great.

Overall, we had a solid experience and I’d definitely come back!

Poggio Trattoria is one of my most favorite restaurants in Northern California. I recommend it to many of my family and friends and they all really like it. This time the four of us went there for lunch and had Tartare, Tagliatelle, Gnudi, Soppressata and for dessert we ordered Budino and
Affagato. I normally don’t order pasta when I go out but I really love their Tagliatelle.

Quite possibly THE best restaurant in Sausalito. We have loved and dined at Poggio for well over a decade. The food is off the charts. From Appetizers to divine dessert....we are ordered "Dinner to Go" and have never been disappointed. Staff is well trained and professional.WE always start with an appetizer - try something new once in awhile - great. We often sit at the bar...

Very tasty Italian restaurants. The quality of the food is very good, everything bread, salads, pasta, desert. Service is very nice as well.

We had tempered expectations since we figured this could be a tourist spot. However, the food was good and everything we ordered was executed well. Our server had recommended the Neapolitan pizza because he said this restaurant serves the best he has had. He convinced us to try it, and the pizza was crispy and chewy and everything it should be.

Been here few years ago and the food and service was just as good as we recalled.
From salad to pizza , stake you dessert all was great.
Reasonable price considering the place and parking was not far.
Was a great place to end a day of walk in Muir wood.

Such a find. Great, local vibe at the bar, posh ambiance while.still being fully relaxed. Came by myself and ended up staying for a few hours. Cheers to Eddie the bartender for making great drinks and keeping a great ambiance. I ordered the pea burrata. Fantastic.

Amazing food! We loved everything we ordered. We got the Vitelo, the Halibut, the Tagiatelle and the Angeloti All of them were amazingly well cooked. Since it was our anniversary they gave us the dessert on the house and it was a Chocolate Boudino with Gelato that was ok wasn’t amazing. But overall great service and very friendly staff.

Espectacular food and customer service. Me and my husband celebrated our elopement reception at Poggio. Definitively one of my must is the cauliflower custard and duck with salad!

We went on a Friday night...it was packed but we able to get a table. Food was ok. I had the oak grilled pork chop. I had a similar dish a while back but the cut of meat seamed different and flavor too. Otherwise, good service and enjoyable atmosphere...

Nice outside sitting place, nice service,tasty food. Tuna Tartare was fresh.

Really good food, good atmosphere and great service but high price, steak was perfect but small portion size for my pasta.
3 hours parking in the street, but was here on a Sunday so very busy area.
I found a free 3 hours parking 8 minutes walk from the restaurant.

Had a great lunch experience at this beautiful location. Due to Covid, the seating is outside. We had to wait 30 mins on a Saturday to get a table. I enjoyed my Aperol Spritz and a delicious Caprese salad. I could taste the fresh mozzarella.
We ordered the mahi mahi and the risotto for lunch. Both dishes were meticulous prepared and the mushrooms in the risotto just melted in my mouth. Ended with a tiramisu and a molten chocolate cake. It didn't disappoint. Overall, a delicious lunch paired with the beautiful Sausalito background. It was a good day spent. Also, not the cheapest but worth going and splurging.

The shrimp tagliatelle was amazing. Perfectly cooked shrimp with a tasty creamy sauce. It was the highlight. The ribeye was under-seasoned and underwhelming, but the service and ambiance made up for it. They made our 40th birthdays a delight. Highly recommended taking home a tiramisu home for breakfast the next day.

I don’t review much, but I felt compelled here. The service was impeccable, even during a normal breakfast morning. Breakfast food was top notch too. 10/10

So many reviews, but I think you'd just have to call this an institution of Sausalito. It's got a perfect location, pretty central to everything. A good meeting spot (just get a drink at the bar) or dinner spot. If/When I'm in Sausalito, can't really go wrong here.
