Bacchus & Venus

This place is in a great location right off the ferry. I didn't expect too much (thinking it was a tourist trap) but wow, I could not have been more wrong. The wines are from smaller vineyards/batches, and can outshine the big guys. If you don't know what to get, bartender Brian just knows. He has a true gift of knowing what a customer likes, just by watching them. Talk to him for a few minutes, and he will give you suggestions that you will die for. This was an incredibly lovely wine tasting experience, and that is in no small part thanks to the Brian. I will absolutely come here again and suggest to all my friends. Brian for president!! 🤣🍷🍷

We had such a great time here! Delicious wines, excellent service from Chris and Jennie. We will converge on Sausalito just to visit Bacchus and Venus again.

My wife and I were visiting from out of town, had time to kill, and dropped into Bacchus & Venus on a whim. What a good choice that was! Amy, the Wine Club Manager, immediately greeted us and spoke to us like we've been friends for years. She was warm, knowledgeable, and made us feel at home. The wine flights were high quality Northern California wines that Amy selected personally. We enjoyed the tasting room's ambiance and décor. We will definitely return soon. Thank you Bacchus & Venus! Great local wine shop. Easy to pop in for a glass of wine and pick up a bottle.

We absolutely loved this wine tasting experience. The selection of was amazing! Their Zinfandels were off the charts. It was refreshing to have the staff give us space to enjoy our wine on our own giving us just enough information. Lovely staff. Not overbearing. We will return for this truly tasteful experience.

Dropped by one day to pick up a bottle of wine for our hotel, and the staff member was helpful at selecting a bottle within our price and taste. Came by the next day for a tasting (we did the $18 sampler) and had a great experience. We loved the 4 wines we tasted, and they had BOGO tasting offer. Staff member who did our tasting was knowledgable, kind, and helpful. We plan to go back next time we're in Sausalito!

Great collection of superb boutique California wine. Is a great wine club and place. The place is full of great finds across many price points. Is my favorite wine club.

Great place with delicious wines and friendly owner. My mother and I went here on a Tuesday and the place was empty, so we had and great conversation with Marcy, the owner. She served us some delicious red wines. We signed up for the wine club and walked out with a bottle! We went back on Friday and Marcy greeted us by name and remembered what wines we liked earlier in the week.
