Great food, atmosphere is good. Love the art work on the wall in the entry way. Extensive tequila selection. Great skinny margarita. Loved the Brussels with pomegranate seeds.

Stopped here after touring Muir Woods. Sat outside with a lovely view. The staff was very friendly and accomadating to our request of having a quick meal before our tour takes off again. The food was incredibly good. The enchilada with chicken is a must try. The 24 hour carnitas was pretty good too. Drinks are visually appealing and taste good, but i recommend asking for no ice - as they use a big block of ice that occupies half the glass.

Recommend the quesaburria, 24hr carnitas and a must get appetizer, the lobster and scallop ceviches.

Service was great. The staff was friendly and food came quickly.

Our lunch was excellent! Our server was very helpful as we selected items. And… the flavors were amazing… cooked perfectly with spicy and mild sauces. We’ll definitely be back!

I absolutely loved this Mexican restaurant. Everything was great. Ordered Al pastor, carne asada and pork belly tacos. Delish!!!

Ordered margaritas and white wine sangria, loved both all of it.

Super fun and enjoyable Mexican restaurant to try in Sausalito! This was on my list for a long time, and I’m happy I stopped by to try it. I felt like all the food was tasty, especially the appetizers. I got the ceviche, chips with guacamole, and salad. For entrees The mole enchiladas really stood out, and the mole was exceptional quality. The drinks were alright and didn’t feel too strong. Overall however I’d say this is one of the best spots I’ve gone to in Sausalito and would go back.

After visiting the check please sip&taste, we finally managed to try it out despite it being 1 hour away. The surrounding area is very nice. The staff was very kind and attentive. Food and atmosphere was very authentic. I loved.

We had ceviche, empanadas with mole, mole enchiladas, and bunuelos. The ceviche is smaller than at other places but compensated for it with an amazing flavor. Both mole sauces were amazing. The empanada mole had a nice dark chocolate taste. The enchilada one was more spicy and red and very light. In general the sauces were just enough. Not too much to drench the food and not too little.

Stopped in here as I was craving tacos. Sat at the bar. The bartender was awesome and he made some really tasty margaritas. The wife ordered tortilla soup, which was awesome, and I had the quesabirria, which was really awesome. The sauce they serve it with is crazy good. I’d definitely go back if we’re in the north bay again.

Great Mexican restaurant in Sausalito, drinks are awesome. I started with the blood orange margaritas, my wife had the white sangria. My drink was so good I ordered another drink and tried Jalisco nights so refreshing and good. For our dinners we ordered the tamales it was phenomenal, also the chicken tinga tacos which was absolutely amazing. And the baja style cod tacos. Final verdict 5 star experience.

What a great little find whilst walking around Sausalito. Got off the Ferry , pretty hungry and walked around the eateries. They all looked great, but this looked the best. Sat in and got the spiciest Bloody Mary I've ever had, really really good. The wings were so tasty and crispy on the outside. Mixed meat Burrito tasted very good too. Fish Tacos were decent, but not the best I've ever had.

Amazing fresh food, service was amazing. There’s always seem to be more than one waiter helping tables which I find very helpful and satisfying to keep the place ruining at a fast pace. Friendly bartender Paul, greeted us with good energy, we got pretty drunk at the bar but he was constantly giving us water, and asking if everything was okay. Made us feel like at home. Usually places get mad for us being loud, (which is not on purpuso) we get carried by the good times, but the energy here was out the roof, very welcoming. We’re coming back again with my fiancé, we had a great time!!!

The tortilla soup was delicious and very filling! They give a generous portion of shredded chicken and tortilla strips!

The guacamole tastes fresh with minimal additives! And the chips are thin and crispy AND ADDICTIVE.

I did also taste the pork belly tacos and thought they were a bit dry.

Overall I’ll come back. The vibe is great! The whole restaurant opens up to street walking downtown views!

Amazed that this place only has 4.3 stars! The food is elevated, seasonal, fresh, and has so much flavor. Staff is super friendly. We got the shrimp enchiladas, birria tacos, fish tacos, tortilla soup, coconut milk ceviche, asparagus salad, chips and salsa, blood orange margaritas, and pineapple agua fresca. Everything was incredible, we couldn’t shut up about it.

Located right in town across from the park/water, with big windows they open on warm days. And everything is gluten free!

We first found Copita a number of years ago when we stopped in Sausalito on a Cruise Ship tour to Muir Woods. We loved it and have now made it a traditional to stop there for a meal whenever we fly into San Francisco and drive up to Napa. Delicious food, super friendly staff and amazing margaritas. Won't be our last visit- I promise you that.

The food, the margaritas were absolutely delicious and our service was excellent! I would literally take a flight back to California just for this food lol definitely will be on my "places to return to" when I visit northern California again.

What a lovely dining experience! Dragged my whole family here since we were hungry. I actually could share with my mother.... An experience I usually never get as a celiac. The food was well seasoned, generous meat and fish portions, friendly waitress....and reasonable prices. If I wouldnt live several thousend kilometers away I would be back frequently.

Paul is EXTREMELY knowledgeable and takes the time to educate guests on different cocktails and tequila/meszcal varieties that will fit your desired tasting profile. Steven just exudes hospitality and curated a wonderful dining experience. Amazing team at Copita -- thank you! I will be back and bring friends!

Service was excellent. Atmosphere was clean with a quaint vibe. Ingredients were fresh with vibrant flavors. If eating there with littles, the cheese quesadilla is made with handmade corn tortillas (no flour tortillas available). Really enjoyed our lunch at Copita while in Sausalito.
