Barrel House Tavern

Excellent water view dining in a beautiful small town. Our family loved our delicious entrees. Unfortunately, my husband had the halibut and pinto beans but should have been cannellini beans and the combination was terrible. We would have appreciated if we were told of the substitution before hand otherwise a different entree would have been chosen.
Excellent customer service.

It’s all about the views when you come to Barrel House Tavern. Highly recommend sitting outside… if you can that is. The wait time here can really be no joke depending on how great the weather is. Great news- you can do a reservation on Open Table. When we walked in the wait time was over 30 minutes. Luckily we had a reservation and got our table immediately.

Service was great. Our server was super friendly and great at connecting. It was a busy day but he had no issue keeping up.

The food was fine. Cocktails and views were what we came for. Martinis were on point. We also ordered the Watermelon Margaritas. YUM.

Will absolutely be coming back. Thanks for such a beautiful day!

We visited Sausalito and chose Barrel House Tavern because of its beautiful view location. The restaurant has an elevator so it was convenient for us to take our baby's stroller upstairs. Friendly, enthusiastic and agile staff. We ordered from the special menu. Fresh seafood, seasoned to taste. You should try draft beer here especially Pilsner, very delicious. Highly recommend 👍

Great place to enjoy We always go here for dinner every other Thursday night. The food is excellent and and the service is also very prompt.

We ordered steaks and chip, Calamari, Quesada and the c. They all were delicious, I really enjoyed the steak and chips.

Our dinner experience was really fantastic. Evening setting. Gorgeous views of the city. We sat outside on the patio which was way more comfortable than I thought with the outdoor heaters. Great service. Great vibe all around.

Location is everything. It's in second floor full bar and restaurant. View to Bay and treasure island makes it a uniquely amazing location. Inside is open floor with bar seating, tables and balcony tables great for couples with romantic views.
Food is amazing and well presented.
Caviar sake is so smooth and tasty.
Burger was exactly as requested and delicious.
Not store of accessibility due to stairs and being in second floor. Didn't notice elevator or ramps!
Service was great too with attentive polite waiters. Make sure you get early or make a reservation!

Both manager and our server were very kind. Clam chowder was good. And tacos with salmon were so spicy but we enjoyed. I want to visit again when I go there.

This is a place we always chose to stop and chum, because this is some great food by the bay. We love the appetizers, the drinks and the plates! Especially impeccable service yesterday, the guy checked on us many times to refill waters and drinks. The food was really fresh and delicious. Atmosphere: one can never go wrong with a bay view :) music was pleasant, chill lounge, guests (mostly tourists)were happy, laid back, enjoying the tasty food and the scenery.
**My son left his phone and we had to drive back from Sacramento to pick it up today! Yes, they are brilliant and deserve an all-around 5 star review! 🏆

I am from Utah and I still DREAM about this restaurant! I go to San Fran once a year and always make it a priority to come here. It is by far my favorite restaurant of all time. I tell anyone who is going to San Fran, to go to Sausalito just to go to this place. The view is outstanding. You can see San Fran if you sit outside. The interior is absolutely beautiful. The food is decadent and unique and so flavorful!

Beautiful inside and outside the view is as good as the food! Served was attentive and friendly I have food sensitivities and he went above and beyond.

What a great restaurant with an amazing view. Food was ok but we only tried the short rib. Drinks were on point here though. Old fashioned was one of the best I’ve had. Definitely worth checking this place out if you are in the area.

Amazing views and food to go with it! If you're lucky enough to have a window or balcony seat you will have stunning views across the bay of San Francisco (if the fog isn't there of course!). The food here is also great with a variety of dishes for all tastes with lots of local options available too. There are also many cocktails available which are great but maybe a little expensive. My favourite part was the dessert which was a great finish for me. Would recommend to anyone in Sausalito!

We sat in the lounge because you have to sit in the bar or lounge to take advantage of happy hour. We sat on the couch with a little table in front of us and a window behind with a few of downtown Sausalito. There was a sign saying to order at the bar, but somebody ended up coming up to us and taking our order. For happy hour I got an $8 chardonnay and my partner got a $10 cocktail of the day, which was sangria. We shared the avocado egg rolls and mushroom ravioli which were both very good. My partner also seemed to enjoy the salmon tacos. Overall, a barrel of a good time.

It was my first time in Sausalito and it definitely did not disappoint. Amazing place to have lunch or dinner over looking San Francisco. Just an breathtaking view nightly recommended. The food was delicious and the services was spectacular. Will definitely come back.

We chose this place on chance... because it's neighbors were so expensive, and were happily pleased. The food was great. The shrimp risotto had big juicy pieces of shrimp. The half Crab had tasty noodles and excellent Crab. The views alone were well worth the experience.

We sat outside on the deck with the heat lamps keeping us warm. Had a lovely lunch with the best grilled chicken on my salad and delicious carrot cake for dessert. Will definitely be back if we are in the area again!

Best bar in Sausalito if you want a great view while sipping mimosa. Me and my princess had a great time here watching seagull fly by and the beautiful bay view.

One of the best restaurants ive visited in the states. Truly the highlight of the trip.
