Rudy's Barbershop

So Maps keeps asking me to write a review for Rudy's. I keep trying to think of what I can say that would actually be helpful other than "Yo, they're good. Go here" but I keep drawing a blank. That's mostly due to me having different people cutting my hair each time I go in and being that I am so bad at catching names, I can't give people the proper shout outs that they deserve. That being said, this is what I have to say about Rudy's:
I have always liked going here. They're fast and give you what you ask for. They can keep up with a conversation if you want to have one or just focus on your cut/style if you don't want to talk at all. I always get the same cut (buzz cut with it faded up pretty high) but they offer much more than that.
Definitely worth checking out if you're in need of a hair cut. I haven't gone to any other barber shop since I've found them years ago.

I would highly recommend stopping by to get a haircut and / or a beard trim. They are very professional and detailed at what they do. I felt very welcome as soon as I walked in. I loved the atmosphere and was very comfortable in their hands

Best haircut yet! I've been getting my haircut at Proctor and Cap Hill 15th St locations since 2021. Sierra at the Proctor location did a great job last time!

Roxy did an amazing cut and dye to my mullet! It can be hard finding salons that are queer and alternative friendly but everyone was so nice and welcoming. I will absolutely be coming back

Haircuts are a personal preference, that much I know. Regardless of whether or not you like my haircut in these photos, I think Rudy’s barbershop in Tacoma, Washington does an excellent job at cutting mens hair. In the past, I’ve aimlessly floated around different barbershops in search of a consistent haircut. I stopped doing this once I discovered Rudy’s. I’ve been going to Rudy’s for two years now and I’ve never been dissatisfied with me experience! 🕺 My haircuts are excellent, the staff is friendly, scheduling is easy, the environment is clean and comfortable, even the bathrooms are nice. What more can I ask for? Last but not least, while I’ve gotten haircuts from different staff members, Genesis is my favorite! 🙌

Cool place with friendly stylists. I've been three times now; the first time, I chose the soonest available appointment and was blessed to have Liza Marie, who did a great job. The second two times, I opted for an appointment with her specifically. She's been great all three times, and as a bonus, is very kind and personable. 6 stars if I could for Liza Marie :) thank you Rudy's, love the Proctor neighborhood discount as well. Highly recommend!

I'm so grateful for this place! They're extremely accommodating and kind! I help arrange haircuts for people with severe anxiety and this place is always so kind and willing to help find the best stylist and the best times for the individuals! so grateful that this place exists AND that they have late hours!

I was recommended to go here by a close friend of mine and my experience was nothing short of amazing! Sam was my barber and she was not only a pleasure to talk to but she was very knowledgeable about style and cutting men's hair! Will definitely be coming back for sure!

I booked with Vanessa today after coming to grips that I needed to cut my hair super short due to massive hair loss from an illness and let me tell you.. She is hands down one of the absolute best stylists I've ever had the pleasure of working with! What I thought would be a tear filled transition from shoulder length to ultra short was one of the best experiences in a salon chair I have ever had. She has an incredible eye for detail, is a joy of a human and I will go back to her from now on! Thanks for helping me deal with a tough moment and making it such a positive and memorable experience, Vanessa! You're a true artist!

I was looking for a stylist who knew how to do a pink color foil in my hair which is partially gray. I was so fortunate to get Lisa Marie. She is professional, detail-oriented, easy to talk to, and so good with color. I'm sure she's great at all hair services. She does the best scalp massage that I've ever had. And this is a wonderful shop/salon that was so careful during the Covid mask requirements time and has politics that I appreciate! Thanks to Lisa Marie - I'll be back soon.

I booked an appointment after 2 unconnected folks in my life recommended them. It was great. Got Vanessa when I booked, and she was wonderful, even though I didn't have a clear idea of what to do with my hair. Great cut and conversation. Definitely will be back.

This was my first time at Rudy’s in Tacoma and I had Anna work on my hair and she has done a phenomenal job from the mess I walked in with. I loved the vibes, experience, how talented my hairstylist is, and how great my hair turned out. I will definitely come back.

My partner has been struggling to find someplace that consistently gives her the high fade she requests. Kyle KILLED IT today. The whole experience was great from booking to the cut to how well they listened. She came home raving about the experience. The shop itself is beautiful and clean. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. A very comfortable place. The first time walking in felt like she had been before, even though it was her first time.

I found a lady who knows how to cut hair I'm very happy with my haircut she listened to what I wanted, took her time and did a fantastic job, thanks Sierra, you made my day, I will see you again for sure

I've never gotten a bad cut at Rudy's. All the specialists are not only skilled at what they do, but they're also very kind and receptive to your wants worries and specifications. It might be on the pricey end compared to other locations, but you definitely get your money's worth.

I have seen Adrienne at Rudy's for the last 4.5 years. She's one of the longest relationships I've maintained! Honestly, the service and care provided to their guests is superb. They remember their regulars and truly take great care of them and provide the best service. Thankful that I found them all those years ago.

Great barbershop. Nick does a fantastic job, always, and my 15-year-old daughter absolutely loved her cut as well. Excellent hair cuts and good conversations always. Great location too....plenty of places right near by to show off that new do.

Nice hair cutting place, nice quirky feel, super clean with great people. Really enjoy coming here to get my hair cut. I found my new barber. Good value, and my hair stylist was really cool. Good for people with hearing disabilities, they were super accommodating to me.

Fresh from my haircut about an hour and I've gotta say... Leah is hands down the best and most personable professional that's cut my hair. I instantly felt welcomed as a first timer. The environment is chill, but definitely quality. She went beyond expectations with providing tips and observations for my cut. I'm a new regular for sure.
