We are so happy with our home renovation with Unity Construction and with our experience with Shay!!! It was important for us to live with less stress so we wanted to transform our dark, outdated 1963 home to a modern home that connected the indoor to outdoor living space. We first used Unity Construction in 2017 to build our sunroom. The sunroom had a beautiful view of our backyard and was my favorite room to be in during the day. In 2020, we chose Unity Construction again for our first major interior home renovation. Our project included popcorn ceiling removal throughout the house, interior painting, old carpet/tile removal replaced with large porcelain tiles as well as refinishing wood that was found under carpet on the upper level/stairs, adding a picture window, and increasing the size of our front window. Unity Construction also transformed our closed off kitchen to an open kitchen. Now everyday feels like vacation.. But at home.

As first-time home renovators, we couldn't have been happier with how our home turned out – thanks to Shay and Unity Construction! From the very start of our conversations with Shay, he was incredibly responsive and knowledgeable. He came over to do an initial walk-through and answered all of our questions with ease. We also were impressed with his ideas for our home and his ability to problem-solve and offer solutions.

Throughout the renovation process, Shay kept us updated and informed on what he was focused on each week and when we needed to make decisions on certain things. Shay and his team got to work immediately and completed our project within our agreed upon timeline. We were very impressed with the quality of work and attention to detail he and his team provided. His subcontractors were all kind, efficient and respectful.

After the main renovation to the house was complete, a couple small projects popped up that we asked Shay about and he was more than willing to help us complete them. We have always appreciated his friendly and can-do attitude. He’s never let us down!

We are thrilled with our renovated home and would definitely recommend Shay and Unity Construction.

I have dealt with a number of contractors in my time but none of them have made a project as straightforward and easy as Shay at Unity Construction. Not only did his bid come in well under those of other companies he genuinely cared about the quality of the work and customer experience. There were no secretaries or call services to deal with; Shay picked up the phone when I called him or texted me updates on a regular basis. He consistently said things like 'don't worry we will make it look great and you'll be happy' and he was right! On the final walkthrough of the project he saw two things that HE didn't like and had his crew come back out to fix them without me saying a word. Speaking of the crew... they were courteous, helpful and professional. The foreman was a great resource for helping make decisions; answering our questions and offering advice whenever we asked but never rushing us or pushing for a certain outcome. This was a large outdoor project: 4 long retaining walls, leveling/grading a couple slopes, concrete work, electrical, and installing a deck and 3 small staircases. Regular updates from Shay guaranteed that we were always kept in the loop of when materials would be delivered what days workers would be at the house and when we could expect certain parts of the project to be completed. i will definitely be reaching out to Shay again when I need more work done in the future! Shay With Unity Construction remodeled my kitchen & bathrooms . He did an amazing job. Finished on time as promised and was able to put my house on the market & sold in less than 60 days . New buyers loved the remodeling . I be hiring him again for my new house .
