Stopped by on Saturday around 10am. We did the Malibu Creek Rock Pools hike which was about 1.3 miles from where we parked. The views are amazing, and the path is wide. We tagged along with a group of park rangers that were going over some fun facts and information about the park. I think the loop took us about an hour, and that includes spending some time at the pool, watching people rock climb.

This spot is cool. According to River Report Card on Google, the water quality is A+. When I went there I wasn't sure how the water quality was. My friends and their kids went in and also jumped off the rocks. If you do plan to do that. Ask the people around that know where the low spots are when you jump in. But always tuck your legs when you hit the water. Some teenagers there touched the bottom in multiple areas.

There are rock climbing areas. I saw people with ropes and climbing gear at one end of the pool. Some people were also free climbing.

Bring drinks, snacks and towels. I saw someone also have a hammock setup.

Clean up after yourself. There are bins heading back on the main trail.

Really so much to see here and so beautiful. Lots of Sycamores and Oaks. Malibu Creek and the swimming hole was pretty nice. I think they film a lot around here. Somehow I felt like I had been there before. I mostly waded and watched the daredevils throw themselves from the cliffs into the pool below. You can for sure you can find were thet filmed "Planet of the Apes". Be prepared for a bit of a trek and bring plenty of H2O TIP: Park near meadow trailhead

This simple trail is just beautiful with few inclines, most of it can be pretty simple. You can escalate your workout by traveling closer to the water over the small rocks. But it is a wonderful experience a little over 2 miles round trip. The experience includes a colorful palate and nature's 🦋 bunnies 🐦 and many wonderful creatures. Also flowers along the way! Parking is $3 per hour 12 flat. Buy enough to not worry about a ticket so you can enjoy your time stress free. It's worth it. There are clean bathrooms in the parking lots. The rangers are super nicr.

This is an absolutely gorgeous hike. My sister and I brought our boys here with the intention of them being able to swim after a nice long hike. This is definitely not the place for that, at least not in August, because it is pretty dry. And, the water that is left, is pretty stagnant, and not swim worthy. But, the scenery is gorgeous, and the hiking is amazing! Very kid friendly. Lots of different walking trails. Just beautiful…

Don't go here.... it's really that cool and I don't want others to find out about it. If you go then you're gonna tell a friend and they are gonna go and the place is gonna fill up. So yeah, don't go.

Read all the other reviews about the walk in and the views.

Used to come as a teenager and had to bring my step teenagers and 8month old. Jumped off some rocks and swam around. East little hike in and all around great afternoon!

Malibu Creek is Beautiful especially after a good rain. After the rain the river is flowing and the waterfalls are gorgeous. The hike to rock pool is probably about a mile and a 1/2 or so. It is a beautiful hike! People swim at the rock pool, but I wouldn't recommend it if the water isn't flowing. If you traverse along the rock past the rock pool and climb up you get to a rocm climbing area called Mt. Gorgeous 😍! There are about 36 amazing routes here of all difficulties. You could come everyday and probably never be bored unless your an incredibly strong climber. I come for the climbing and will probably be coming for a long time before I can send all the routes. I highly recommend this place for all adventurers. Whether your a climber or just looking for some outstanding hiking Malibu Creek is beautiful. Parking is $12 otherwise this place is free to visit.

Beautiful trail, a lot of spring flowers. Unfortunately with all the signs, a lot of hikers had dogs. I love dogs but they are not allowed for a simple reason - they scare the wild life.

So much fun! About a mile hike to the rock pools and completely flat. Options for cliff jumping and great weather.

Amazing spot not to hard to hike to and a perfect half way point en route to the M.A.S.H. Site.
A beautiful hike with almost unlimited option of trails that all break off the main trail.
Definitely make sure you have water or a water filter .
The hike is beginner level unless you break off to the smaller trails.
Most handicap accessible and well worth the hike.
You can jump from 50' off a rock wall or 20' from a boulder or 10' from another rock. There are many options and on a hot day not a bad place to chill.
There are also swimming holes along the waters route, go adventure but be safe on the rocks and respect nature, it teaches tough lessons!!!

The Malibu Creek Rock pools are fun to explore. They can be accessed from the Cistern Trail/Lookout Trail or from the Malibu Creek State Park visitor center. If you come right after it has rained, the water level will be high and you won't be able to safely explore all of the rock pools here. However anytime you come, the area is very relaxing and worth the visit!

Malibu Creek Rock Pool and Lake were such a surprise! It's now my favorite walking trail. It's around 3 miles each way from the parking. There were lots of people swimming and jumping from the rocks into the pool. It looked so fun and refreshing although I'm not sure I wanna brave the unknown in the bottom of the pool.

Great trail with great adventures for all
Rock climbers dream, for those wanting to dip into water, a 1.5 mile hike in and you have a beautiful place to dip and dive. Some amazing trails can continue the adventure. Gets busy and lots of people on trail

Sometimes you should listen to the universe and embrace it. Breathe deep, it comes to you.
Go there early in the morning. Specially in March. See the pictures, it from the start point to the pool and other places around. I think it's an easy and beautiful hike.

Superbloom! And fantastic hiking area with many nooks and crannies to explore including a swimming hole. Lots of wildlife and if you listen closely you'll hear parrots!

Really cool views along the whole trail. Easy hike with very little incline. The MASH site is worth it to hike to.

I love this place. The water is cold and clean with the stream constantly flushing it out. It does get crowded midday when it's hot, and sometimes people aren't cool enough to throw away their trash. But, for the most part, it's a friendly place with everybody jumping off rocks and swimming and generally hanging out. Lots of great rock climbing here as well and someone even set up some silks last weekend and let us have a go. Keep it clean, pack it out, and keep your music to yourself if you don't mind.
