Ristorante La Toscana

The food, atmosphere, service were all excellent. My Mother and I enjoyed everything. The meats on both dishes were perfectly cooked. The soup outstanding with pieces of vegetables.

We had our company luncheon here and we had a great time here. The service was really good and and the food was delicious!

My wife and I decided to try this place out. I ordered the Pappardelle Al Cinghiale which was excellent!! My wife ordered the Petrale Sole on top of risotto which was the special this evening, she really enjoyed it. We finished off the meal with a fantastic homemade tiramisu and an affagato which was very nice.
I very much recommend this restaurant. They also have a full bar and offer many types on wines.

Just visited this place for the first time with my friend. We both loved it! My friend got the Pappardelle Al Cinghiale and I got the spinach and cheese ravioli with a brown butter and sage sauce. Absolutely amazing flavor in both our dishes. I got the feeling anything at this place is good. Parking is limited so, going early is a good idea. I highly recommend this spot and will be visiting regularly.

All around terrific, family owned restaurant! Wonderful Risotto Milanese...I always add shrimp. A perfect Entree!! My family has been dining here for more than 25 years and have never had a bad meal!

You've got to check out this little Hidden Gem. For anybody who has lived in the Marin area, you've probably tried this place and kept it to yourself. From the outside, it is very unassuming. You might even pass it up, but don't. This little Italian star is a must stop place. The authentic Italian cuisine and ample Wine Bar match the elegant decor within.
Our server was an older Italian gentleman. He is quiet, direct, and efficient. He made sure we were well taken care of despite how busy things were and never made us feel rushed.
My guest and I shared one of the best Caesar salads I have had in a long time. I then had the Tortellini Toscana (Veal & Prosciutto) prosciutto, peas, and cream. Divine! I love the taste of fresh made tortellini.
My guest had the lasagna and was impressed with the flavor and texture.
Lunchtime is busy, so be prepared. The best part of all is the price. $20 to 35 pp without alcohol.
I can't wait to go back and sample many of the other dishes. I promise to get pictures this time.

We were really impressed with the food. It's very close to an authentic Italian cuisine. Great atmosphere, great service. Very cozy inside.

Fabulous food, bit slow on service, but very friendly and professional. The outer rooms had the best atmosphere, fountain burbling.

Had an amazing time at La Toscana. We went to celebrate my mom's birthday with 15 people and the staff did great on accomodanting everyone. The food was AMAZING, all the dishes we ordered were so tasty. Would highly recomend the short ribs with polenta.

Fabulous! I was in Bay Area for a visit after moving back East. Large portions and very fresh.

Came for a wedding reception - food and service were great! Sergio made it a standout experience!

Absolutely loved this place.. Wednesday's are half price bottles of wine over $40. Food was amazing with generous portions.. we were in town visiting from Toronto and can't wait to come back! If you're here on a Wednesday and want a great wine at a great value you need to try this barolo!

We’ve been coming to Ristorante La Toscana for years. The food has always been delicious and everybody working in the restaurant is so friendly. On occasion I’ve asked for minor tweaks to my meal and they’re always happy to accommodate my requests( like the addition of a protein to my pasta). After Covid they developed a wonderful patio. We are high risk so we appreciate having a comfortable ventilated space in which to dine. My recent meal with my husband included a Caesar salad, cup of the bean/ kale soup, the pasta bolognese and veal Milanese. Everything was delicious as always. The bar is very nice with excellent cocktails. I highly recommend this restaurant.

It's not fair to rate a restaurant for its cocktails, but La Toscana's Rusty Blade Negroni is that kind of cocktail. So, to be fairer, it also has great appetizers. And if I was ever to leave the bar area, I'm sure La Toscana's entrees would be great as well.

But back to the Negroni. La Toscana uses the Rusty Blade gin from the local (Belmont, CA) Old World Sprits distillery. A most unusual gin, it is barrel aged which gives it a caramel color (rusty). That makes the gin's spices (botanicals) taste as if they have been baked, according to one reviewer.

Get the Negroni shaken and served with no ice (up, as it is called cocktail parlance) to enjoy it to the fullest.

Note to myself: Bring a designated driver so I can have a second Negroni with dinner.

This place was out of this world. My family visited this restaurant based on recommendations and did not disappoint. The service was great and one thing that stood out was way they allowed the customization to our meal. Kudos to the staff and restaurant.
