Ross Painting

I recently moved my business to Novato. I had very little time from when I got the keys to when movers shifted all of our warehouse to the new location. The concrete on the floor looked terrible.
I reached out to Ross Painting to see if they could fix up our floor with an epoxy finish. They showed me samples, explained the process very clearly and had a quote to me by the end of the day. The next day they started the work and did a phenomenal job. Edgard had it friend down and refinished in 2 days. I love the new finish. This should last us a lifetime and I don't have to worry about moving any of our equipment ever to redo the floor. Great value. Here's a few before and after photos.

Dan and his team have been fantastic. My garage looks amazing. It was built in the sixties but the concrete floor now looks brand new. The process was far more thorough than anything else I've seen and you wouldn't have even know the team was here while they worked. On top of that it has a life time guarantee. I can't recommend Dan and his crew enough. I'm now looking at getting my pool deck done with him. Thanks Dan!

There were several problems with the work Ross Painting did, and while some things did go well, overall I’m disappointed.

After the job was finished and I had paid, I noticed some small dings in my pool floor just below where the painters had put a platform. Not a huge problem, but I wanted to know what happened. So I called Ross’ VP of operations, my primary contact, and explained how the most likely explanation was an accident by one of his painters. He thought my reasoning made sense and he committed to calling me back after he spoke with his painters. He never did.

Ross had quoted separately the filling of 200 nail holes from a previously-removed tarp. They didn’t do it, and it’s hard to think they would have simply forgotten because they painted right over the holes, and 200 is a large number. But they also didn’t charge me, so I just filled and painted them myself.

In filling and painting those nail holes, I found a significant area that hadn’t been painted that could only be seen from high up. The quote was for two coats of paint so it’s quite odd that it could have been missed twice. In any case, I was up there dealing with the nail holes so I painted it myself.

Additionally, there were many paint drips on our patio, only a few months later there is some blistering in one area, and several plants were damaged that seemed shouldn’t have been considering where and how they said they worked.

On the positive side, they started the job when promised and the painters came to work on time every day; not a small issue when working with contractors. Also, two doors had some minor deterioration and they spent extra time patching them; that may or may not have been in-scope, but there was no discussion, they just did it, for which I was grateful.

Multiple times Ross Painting send me an email invitation to take an online survey, but they never followed up with me to ensure I was satisfied with the job, and as mentioned above, the VP never called back.

So overall, I’m disappointed and won’t be using Ross Painting again.
