The Spinnaker

We had a lovely dinner at The Spinnaker, the view during dinner was breathtaking. We had a fairly large party, but our service was fantastic. Everything came out relatively quickly and it was all delicious. Sadly I don’t live in the area but I would definitely make a return visit.

Excellent food, great service, and an amazing view of the bay and San Francisco. My fish was lightly breaded, cooked to perfection and served with delicious rice and vegetables. There’s not a bad view at any table in the restaurant.

Delicious place to enjoy dinner with a view in Sausalito! We made reservations in advance and enjoyed a drink from the bar while we waited for our table. Oysters and seafood pasta were tasty. Service was great. I'd recommend The Spinnaker while visiting Sausalito.

We decided to go to Spinnaker for lunch after a run at the Golden Gate, which was a good decision. The food was great, the drinks were nice and the service and ambiance were top-notch. It's a great place to dine in Sausalito if you love seafood.

When even the locals are regulars, you know that it's not just a tourist trap. You absolutely cannot beat the view from the white linen tableclothed seats at Spinnaker. The bread served w/ your meal there is bonafied San Francisco sourdough. There are lots of fresh seafood choices, too. I live about 10 minutes away and often meet up w/ friends to either indulge in a ciopinno feast or just to sit in the bar area and soak up that view. Even the valets are cool ( shout out to Erik). We l8ve Spinnaker.

A beautiful restaurant that pairs great food with amazing views of the Bay. Reservations are always recommended, especially during weekends.

Food was really good and it is the perfect location with a view of San Francisco bay. A little pricy (in my view) but still worth it.

Wow - unparalleled views, especially at the very end of the restaurant where you have 270 degrees of floor to ceiling windows around you. Staff was very professional and all our food was delicious - cocktails too! We especially liked the muscles.

We had lunch at The Spinnaker on a weekday in June, 2023. Parking was a little tight, but we found a spot. We were seated quickly once inside. It was past one PM, which might have made it easier to get a table.
We ordered our lunch and sat and enjoyed the main reason for us to visit. The views from our table were spectacular. We were on the water facing San Francisco. So we had a great view of the city. We also had a great view of Alcatraz. We could see the cable towers for the Golden Gate Bridge. We also could see other landmarks from our table. And for the second day in a row, we were visited during lunch by a seal. He only stayed short time and only popped his head out of the water. Unfortunately, a pole was kind of in my way, so I couldn't get a good picture of him or her. I was much more fortunate yesterday.
Our food was good. But to be fair, we have had better. I'm not trying to take a shot at The Spinnaker. The food really was good. But I didn't think it was anything special to me. The wife agreed. But we also agreed that this might just be what we had for lunch more than anything. So maybe judge for yourselves. Maybe we are giving them negative press that might be unwarranted.
Prices were not extremely high, but were not inexpensive either. So I guess I would say somewhat fair. And the view made it all worth it, whether or not you agree. Atmosphere is very important. As such, the food could have been not very good and I still would have thought our visit was worth it. Thankfully, the food was good.
Our server was also very good. He made us feel special and was very professional. I took pictures, but it was cloudy and hazy. The pictures do not do the actual views justice. They are much, much better in person.
All in all, I thought the Spinnaker was a decent restaurant that has a great atmosphere with spectacular views. You should consider trying them if in the area. At the very least, you'll probably remember where you had that meal.

This was the location of one of the best conversations of my life. The ambiance and design of this place is undeniable.

We had a celebration lunch for my daughter in laws graduation from SFSU. We had the best time and food was amazing. We even got to take pics of her in her gown in the banquet space.

Excellent food! They were happy to cater to my food allergies. What a beautiful place to enjoy a meal.

This is my second time here and it has a great view. It is important to make a reservation before going so we can get a table by the window. I like the food and they are very attentive.

Excellent restaurant with BEAUTIFUL views of the city! Highly recommend if you find yourself visiting Sausalito. Look forward to returning on my next trip to The City.

I love the atmosphere, the view and vibe is luxurious! Food, quality, and sizing , proportions are perfect! Even though everything is high standard, pricing is compatible! Good job guys, also they have valet outside and bunch of space for parking!
