Fukusuke Restaurant

Small Japanese restaurant. Looks so authentic. We ordered Sashimi dinner and Ton katsu, so delicious. I would not dine during peak hours due to the limited space. Recommended!

Excellent food. Charming, cozy place, family-run. Will definitely be back. Unagi Don with sashimi, gyoza, and cheesecake were all terrific. Cheesecake is very unique! Has an eggy almost flan-like texture, light and delicious. Great little gem of a place.

Absolute gem. Mamasan is the best! She is the sweetest, most delightful person and takes every order. this place brings me back to my trip to Japan, which I cherish.

There is no place like Fukusuke! I have followed them from Sausalito to their Larkspur location. I have been going to Fukusuke since the early 90’s. Warren and Mama San are so kind and attentive. This is a family run restaurant and they treat their customers like family ! Great food, experience and people.

We frequently visit Fukusuke at least once every 2 weeks something once a week, food is authentic, fresh and super tasty! Also mama som adds so much presence! Best chicken katsu, rock’n roll and gyosa 🤤

The most authentic Japanese meal I’ve had in the Bay Area. This is inclusive of some of the top rated places in SF. Mama-san is a gem! The food is also high quality, maybe low presentation, but very fresh and tasty!

Such a wonderful place. The food is tasty, the atmosphere is sublime, the service and people running the restaurant are lovely. Don't even think twice, just go. You absolutely will not regret your choice. Mama San is reminded me of my favorite grandmother in the best possible way.

Delicious food and super friendly service! They show a lot of attention to detail and make you feel like family when you eat here. Mama-san showed me how to eat the grilled mackerel with daikon (add soy sauce to the daikon and eat together with the mackerel) and made me feel so nice 🥰

This place is awesome. I grew up in a heavily Japanese-influenced community in LA and also spent some time living in Japan, and the food here at Fukusuke reminds me of the izakaya-style home cooked meals I’m used to. The staff here are so nice and friendly, especially Mama-San, who I think is the owner. I’ve gotten takeout a number of times from here since Covid started, they’re super compliant, and the food is still great. Please keep supporting them!

Sushi’s are ok, service is slow though.

Coming all the way from Scranton Pennsylvania. We loved the fresh Sushi. The Chicken teriyaki was delicious. Well prepared and Beautifully presented. Most importantly, The staff was very welcoming and provided amazing service. Thank you from my Family to yours!

Yesterday, my grandson and I had an excellent dinner of sukiyaki, tempura and gyoza at Fukusuke. This cozy, unpretentious Japanese restaurant is true gem! I've dined here several times over the past two years and have never been disappointed. Lovely people!!

This is one of my all time favorite restaurants. It's unlike any other experience. It's one of those great little family owned restaurants that rarely still exist. I feel like family when eating here. It's almost sad because I compare almost every other Japanese restaurant to this place and nobody else ever compares or lives up to what I experience at this restaurant. Wonderful People and Great food and great authentic experience.

Great food... Great service with lots of personality. If you like saba (mackerel) nigiri... It's a must try! Traditional.

Such a homey, good-feeling place. Great food, and the service makes you feel almost like you're part of the family. I've been there twice and I feel like I'm already a regular. It's a good place to go with close friends or family. Undiscovered gem, but it works because there are so few tables....

Delicious food, and such sweet service even for take-out! The miso-glazed eggplant is an umami revelation. The tempura was light and crunchy, even for take-out. The sashimi tasted perfectly fresh. Everything else was good, great work.

Great variety of Japanese food from sushi to donburi. All high quality. The seaweed salad and eggplant are our favorites. Owner and staff are super friendly and nice.
