Great hardware store. Lots of selections. Good nursery for plants, dirt and gardening. Lots of options for day to day projects and building and remodeling. Ample and free parking.

Always have a good experience at Home Depot, San Rafael. Helpful staff and easy to obtain a refund if something is broken or didn’t fit. Great store.

I went to Ace at Northgate, and I asked for help 3 different times. I watched people come in after me and get help. No one came to even try and assist me. I left there and went to Home Depot and they were happy to help me. Great service

Very nice experience with Anita at the SR Home Depot today. She was helpful in determining if an item I wanted was in stock (it was) and ensuring that it would be ready for pick up. Cheery attitude but more importantly competent and efficient.

In contrast to many other stores, this particular store has a great staff ... Mostly happy people in my experience. Great leadership helps to improve everyone's mood and this helps draw happy customers to the store. It's an Improvement Store more than a hardware store. Making good strides here compared to others big box experiences.

Even though there are some employees that seems like they really don't want to be there, most employees are very helpful and friendly. I spent time ordering a window with Jake today and was pleasantly surprised with the level of detail he put into helping me make the right decision. I will head back for every home improvement need. Also, gotta give props to Mihir the manager of the store! Great guy!

After shopping for items for my wife's business, my final stop was at the tool department. I volunteer for the Marin Foster Care Association (MFCA) here in San Rafael and I realized that our main building did not have a basic tool set to accomplish some of the tasks we encounter. I met an employee there by the name of Trinidad and explained what I was looking for. I told him I just needed a basic tool kit to make the volunteers lives easier when assembling, fixing and repairing items.

Trinidad was incredibly helpful as he works in that department and was able to not only help me find the exact item I needed but was able to allow for a small discount when he learned it was for a good cause. It’s such a great feeling to know that there are really good people like Trinidad working at a local business that understand the needs of a community-based organization. I advised the director of our organization and she was thrilled. This may seem like a small gesture by some, but to us, it meant the world. Thank you Trinidad for your kindness, caring and generosity!

Huge shout out to Collen B. (Floor Specialist) for the help a few days ago. I came in looking for synthetic grass at this store because Napa was not going to have any until Saturday. Colleen just came in for her shift and although it seemed like she was still sorting out a few things, she completely stopped what she was doing to help me out. I haven't seen customer service like that in months!! Again, kudos to her and hopefully she's recognized for her Amazing contribution to this location.

I ordered a huge amount of moving boxes and supplies online, and then went to the curbside pickup space to get them. I was just pulling in, when a young man walked up, and asked to see my order number, and next thing I know he was pulling it all into my car! He was so fast, and polite, and the whole process was unbelievably easy!

A young man who had just started working there was very very helpful. I had been walking up and down the cleaning products aisle when he came along and there was a specific product I was looking for that said it was sold at that location and he pulled out his phone looked it up and I was totally on the wrong aisle. He was able to tell me which aisle, which side of the aisle, and which shelf section it'd be on. Was very nice as well :)

Always good experiences. There employee training needs to be better. You can't learn by videos alone need on floor training ASM's are not letting employees know what is inspected. I think hiring follows the Peter Princeable theory should think of something better.

Sophie from the blinds/ roller shades sections was amazing! Such a helpful knowledgeable person. Probably the best experience in any Home Depot we visited recently.. and we visited pretty much all of ghem around the Bay Area.

This was one incredible day going to home depot.....Did I lucked out...Service at home depot is usually next to nil. I received excellent service from David Jose...A Filipino compatriot. He was so helpful and knew where everything is... Thanks David

I have been going to this home depot for years, always had sub par service, but lately it has been phenomenonal. I don't know what they did but as of late the staff are friendly, supportive and polite not to mention helpful. Id encourage everyone to give this store another opportunity

I was in your San Rafael store on Saturday December 30th looking to purchase 5 toy car carpet mats for my son, as I had already purchased 2 before Christmas. After looking for them myself I asked someone for help they said they didn't know what I was talking about but look in flooring section. so I made my way back to flooring where I searched for them. finally I found 2 of the same one I purchased and 4 others that were very similar so I decided to get 5 of them. I proceeded to checkout as the lady scanned the mats I noticed the 2 like I previously purchased came up on clearance at 5.98 original priced was 11.99. but the other 3 came up at 20.98.I told her I did not want those and asked if she could please see if there were any more of the ones on clearance. She looked in her computer and it showed there were 34 In the store. So I went in search for them. I went to customer service desk and asked someone could please help me locate the product as I still needed 3 more. She called someone up to help. A very nice young man by the name of Hiawatha came up and I explained what I needed and he started to help me first looking in his hand held computer to see where they should be, he did verify they should have 34 in stock on bay 4, we looked there with no luck, he then said he would try a few other locations in the store, still no luck. I explained where I have found the other 2 along with the higher priced ones so we went to look in that area. He also only saw the higher priced ones there. He looked in his computer again to see the SKU. number to see if they were on upper shelves, again we found nothing. After about 20 minutes of searching every possible place he could think of he politely appoligized and offered to sell me 3 of the higher priced ones at the same price as the 2 I already had. I was so happy and ended up getting 5 play mats. I would like to let you know I frequently shop at this location as I am a big do it yourself project person and unfortunately I always leave your store in shock due to the lack of customer service that is there and most of the time I always tell myself I will not go to that store again. But do to it being the only home Depot near me I always end back up there. I do believe that this young man deserves a huge thank you and I hope you recognize his wonderful customer service skills. He not only took a huge amount of time searching for the product that I needed but he had a very wonderful cheerful attitude about it unlike 99% of your employees that refuse to help customers and seem like they have there job.This is a young man who really sets a great example of what customer service really means. So thanks to Hiawatha I left a happy customer and will continue to shop there. Again please recognize this employee.

ANITA IS AMAZING.! Me and my fiancé just moved and we’ve been going into this Home Depot just about everyday, everyone has been helpful, however Anita went above and beyond for us today.!

This is by far my absolute favorite Home Depot. The location is wonderful, and I personally love to take a walk along the water nearby and then go in and do my shopping. The workers I always find out on the sales floor are always very helpful and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this location.

Helpful and friendly staff. Better organized and less grimy than other nearby locations. They were well stocked and seemed to have more variety of what I was looking for today... HVAC ventilation duct work and accessories.
