Great hiking gem in Larkspur area. Very easy fire roads lead to more challenging elevation changing hikes. The views are wonderful and the trails take you in and out of various environments. Dog and kid friendly.

A nice open space preserve with a multitude of trails which differ from fire roads to single track trail. The scenery is great and there is even a waterfall during the rainy season, Dawn Falls.

What an amazing little hidden gem. There is a redwood groove and fern growing everywhere. A creek runs through the Canyon, and after a rain the waterfall really gets going. Waterfall is a 1.3 mile easy walk in.

Lower Mt Tam trails are great for shaded hiking with less steep terrain. Fire roads allow mtn biking and dogs off leash. Find a trail head and start exploring. Always enjoy visiting equator coffee and/or urban remedy in larkspur prior to hiking adventures. Enjoy!

Awesome trail! We had so much fun on this trail. I'd recommend taking the detour via the short section if the Hoo-Koo-e-Koo trail to join the Dawn falls trail to the Dawn falls trailhead (near Larkspur Creek).
Very nice hike - changing terrain + lots of small animals. We even saw a spotted owl - which was great for the kids.

Amazingly beautiful canyon, especially after the rain. Very easy to get to and the hike is great, although a loop is harder to do without some time on a road.

Not crowded as easy or difficult as you make it. Dog friendly

There are many good trails in the preserve. The Southern Marin Line Fire Road runs for several miles from Crown Road, nearly level the entire length, for an easy walk. Close by Crown Road, the Hoo-Koo-E-Koo Trail heads up the mountain, intersecting Blithedale Ridge Fire Road, and eventually reaching a network of trails that can take you to the summit. Further along, there is another trail that will take you to the part of Blithedale Ridge Fire Road overlooking Corte Madera. This is a great preserve for many sorts of hikes: short or long, easy or moderately tough.

You can take a pleasant walk here, provided you find parking.

I've always loved this beach especially the sense of getaway that it offers, less populated, raw coastline...but it's a treck for sure.

They have an off leash dog symbol for the hiking trails that makes it very easy to stay safe and in compliance

Beautiful hike! Lots of uphill but once you get up to the mountain, the hike is a moderate single track trail.

Great after a rain. Obey parking rules or get a ticket. Best on weekdays. No crowds.

One of the few dog-friendly hikes in Marin that has some shade. Also very picturesque!

Great trail through the Marin redwoods. Intermediate level hiking and can be muddy after rains.
