Old St. Hilary's Historic Preserve

I've photographed a bunch of small weddings at this incredibly special church. It's one of my favorite spots to shoot at in the bay, incredibly photogenic and easy to work with! It's a bit small so has a more intimate vibe, but if that's what you're looking for I highly recommend doing your ceremony here. There's a bunch of restaurants down by the water for a reception, or go to one of the many state parks around and have something more whimsical like a picnic! Tons of fun, beautiful, and a unique spot.

Beautiful hike. Maybe on days that are not too hot as it is in the sun with few trees or shade. A cool spot for a family picnic. No parking besides street parking though. Also watch out for the birds one pooped in my eye, once again no tree defense. I hear that's goodluck though so still a 5 out of 5.

In 2001 I married my best friend and soulmate in this beautiful, historical church. The view of Tiburon from the hill is gorgeous and on a clear day you can see all the way to San Francisco. At least once a year my wife and I travel back to this glorious chapel and sit on the steps and hold hands and talk about our amazing wedding day and how thankful we are to have had the opportunity to tie the knot in such an amazing location.

Nice and peaceful place with a lot of history. Highly recommended!!!

Well maintained... Beautiful views

Un lugar hermoso y muy tranquilo, excelente para visitar sin apuro, si caminas alrededor tiene varias placas conmemorativas que se ubican en asientos de piedra. Tendrás una vista de la ciudad hermosa.

Una magnífica vista y puedes camunar en el sendero o simplemente apreciar el paisaje.

The church is a nice historical spot and has some trails leading into a grassy hillside. The building is nice but the surroundings looks like an open space in a neighborhood.

One of the trails leads up to what looks like a fire road that is flat and good for an easy stroll. Dogs are allowed off leash if well behaved.

All the beautiful photos others posted are taken from the top of a hill that is best accessed from the other side of the park. You have to walk up steep, rocky, and unofficial trails to get there from here. It's actually causing some erosion in some parts. So please use a different path to reach the top to preserve the Preserve.

That said, it's a nice spot to visit the church overlooking some of the Bay and the town of Tiburon.

Nice place for a short hike. Unobstructed 360 view from the top and you can get quite close from Angel Island if you step out of the official boundary.

Not worth it for visiting.
