Battery Rathbone McIndoe

Best place to chill without the crowds. Battery Rathbone was built to defend America, now it’s a nice place to go to see the history and soak in the beautiful scenery. Please urinate before you get here, there are no bathrooms here, but there is a parking lot with a bathroom on your left, just before you reach Battery Rathbone.

First time on the West side of the Golden Gate Bridge.
It was remarkable.
The clearest crisp weather, beautiful views in all directions.

I love all historical spots for the history if the people who stood guard to defend our beautiful bay!

The view of the Golden Gate Bridge from here is stellar, and I love looking around for the old military installations. A cool place to do a little exploring and take in the views.

Don't go here. I've been eating lunch here for 35 years in solitude, and I want you to do your part to keep it clean and quiet.

A great stop for pictures on your way to the light house

One of my favorite places to take visitors. The best time to go is on a weekday because it’s less busy. Bring a warm jacket, blanket and hot tea because it can get very cold and windy.

Spectacular views of the city, bridge, bay and endless Pacific make this a favorite and phenomenal place for lunching, hiking, biking and just being !

Great place for slightly different photo ops, not too crowded and you get to climb on things. No guns left though, it's just a concrete bunker.

Disclaimer..NOT for those with mobility issues. These WWII bunkers require a bit of climbing. Otherwise it's a great photo op
