Awesome burgers and adult beverages await you at The Counter. Not the cheapest place to eat, but well worth the price. Not Your Father's Root Beer is an addicting way to quench your thirst. Not a fancy environment and can be quite noisy when full. Wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for a romantic evening. However, I would recommend it if you are looking for about the best burger around. Other options include the Impossible Burger, ground turkey, vegan veggie, and fried chicken. There are tons of options for your burger, so you can truly get what your heart, and stomach, desires. The Parmesan Fries and Fried Dill Pickles are a great addition to your meal. Salads are on the menu and for you low-carb types, you can get your burger on greens instead of a bun.

Assemble your own burgers. Long wait for food but excellent service. One of the places that has impossible burger on their menu.

Great spot to create your own burger. Lots of choices of meat, bread, toppings, and sauces. They have a Good happy hour from 3-6 on weekdays. They really do friend food well. I ordered some friend pickles and I’ve had their friend chicken sandwich. Both were amazing. They have shakes as well if you need to help your sweet tooth. A place that will never let you down. Definitely worth stopping at!

I love the veggie burger at this place. Stumbled upon it while I was in the mall and had to take a break immediately. They didn’t disappoint it was exactly how I remembered it from years ago in Mountain View. Plus the staff was very nice & friendly. The shoe string fries - worth the calories!

I love this place. It's the perfect place to grab a good build your own burger! Wide variety of toppings, bread meat ECT. Service is prompt. I've never seen this place "slow" and it's always packed!

Excellent food! I love being able to fully customize my burger, and they have some fantastic options for nearly all dietary restrictions and preferences. Service was great, as well.

I love the mega combos you can make, I had 4 different kinds of burger to go with my tasty bison meat... Hard rootbeer float not pictured... I was there when the doors opened and the place was busy but well managed in minutes

Probably the best food I've had in a long time. I was in about 3pm on a Thursday. So, slow I'm sure compared to their normal time. Every ingredient was perfect, Leland was my bartender. Was very attentative and quick. This place deserves an even better rating in my opinion!

Great burgers & fries, my nutella shake was amazing! 2 yrs later and we are still eating here! My grilled cheese w/bacon was DELISH!! We had sweet potato fries & regular fries !

Love this place! Been here and in the East Bay, and both locations had fun and competent staff and the best burger ingredients around. Sometimes there's a bit of wait, but well worth waiting for! Mind, it's also pretty pricey and they add a bunch of automatic tips and surcharges as well, but it's a gourmet treat, not fast food - you get what you pay for.

Best burgers in the bay! Love introducing this place to people. Just don't bring anybody who gets analysis paralysis... The options are endless!

Today my hamburger was excellent. We were in Corte Madera. On Sunday, I had lunch at the Walnut Creek location and they attempted to passoff a Turkey for Bison . Worst experience ever 😪 . The servicing was topnotch. Weren't be patronizing your Walnut Creek location again.

Woooweee! What an awesome lunch! The menu options and customizations are impressive! I love how I can turn a burger into a salad with many toppings to choose from. The bison burger was delicious. Salad dressing was tasty, the toppings fresh. Service was impeccable. Definitely coming back.

I've eaten here a couple of times and the food is great, but what makes this place a standout for me is the catering. The manager Carlos does a fantastic job taking care of all the details. It's like a cookout on demand! All my accounts love it and I'm always amazed at what a value it is. They even take pains to make sure the fries stay crispy! Do yourself a favor and try it for your next event!

One of the best burger joints, my favorite make-your-own style restaurant. Friendly staff (they happily took my five year old handwritten coupon for when they ran out of bison meat, from a previous manager). Sign up for their mailing list because they'll send you coupons. Very much worth it for it can be pricey depending on your choices. High quality shakes! They also have a menu you can choose from...

I'm a fairly picky burger eater in general, but The Counter is one of the few places I visit every so often for a consistently amazing burger. Why the counter? Well firstly, SO many options. I love options when it comes to burgers because frankly, it's one of those foods that just needs to be customized to each person's tastes. The meat itself is juicy, perfectly cooked, and has just the right amount of toppings. Did I mention it's also giant and filling?

Despite the fact that the burger can feed a hungry caveman, the parmesan fries are still a must-order. One for the table should suffice (unless you're a giant group) and despite the large serving size, don't be shocked if your group eats the plate clean.

Service is really excellent, despite the fact that this location is always busy. I can attest to delicious desserts and shakes from the morsels I've sampled, but I'm always too full to partake in my own.

If you're looking for guaranteed high-quality gourmet burgers, look no further!

The food here is consistently good quality. definitely a fun place to eat given you could decide exactly how you want your burger prepared with what kind of sides on it. It's also very healthy giving its grass-fed

The most famous part of the restaurant is the custom burgers. They allow you to mix and mach the different ingredients from bun to bun with a verity of choices. The sweet potato fries are great and the offer vegetarian options that are actually good. Go there is is great and as far as I know the only one (at least near me).

I call this place, "Build your own burger." If you're in the mood for a burger (and you want more than in-n-out), this is the place. Angus beef, antibiotic and hormone-free, tuna, chicken, turkey, veggie...

On a bun (one of many kinds) or as part of a big salad (the backyard BBQ salad is great), you can choose every detail of your order using a checklist down to the kind of meat, including turkey, chicken, bison and veggie. If you don't want meat, you can even "build your own grilled cheese"

The fries (both sweet potato and regular), and onion strings are excellent!

The portions are large (I always have something to take home), the servers are always pleasant, and for what you get, the prices are reasonable. There are a lot of places selling $14 burgers that are wimpy and dried out--here's they're great and start at $11, with other sandwiches starting at $7.

This is a great go-to place when you're really hungry and want something substantial--and GOOD!

I just wish they were open later, as they close at 9 on weekdays, 10 on Friday/Saturday.
