Shari's Cafe and Pies

To preface, Shari's is a diner I used to frequent during high school weekly, and us not fine dining by any means. However, the food is yummy and the service is friendly. The booths are not very comfortable and the muted autumn color-palate decor is a bir depressing.
The chicken strips I got here today were the best I've ever gotten from any Shari's location, crisp but also juicy. The fries were better than usual also. Normally I find the fries underbaked, but here they were just right.
I don't recall my servers name but I think he was the only one working FOH while I was there. He was helpful and friendly, and made sure I had exactly what I wanted when I needed it.
Their menu has shrunk considerably over the years. I will always miss the mozzarella sticks and the proper "pick your own" sampler platter they used to have. I would come here weekly again if they brought it back.

This rating applies to the following items that we ate. Classic plain burger, French dip, fries and chocolate pie, and side salad. All were tasty.

Had a wonderful breakfast after a 4 hour road trip. I had French toast and ham, my brother I law had chicken fried steak, bacon, eggs (2 of his and mine) ,hash browns and English muffin. It was DELICIOUS!

We went to Sharis yesterday and it's SEVERELY understaffed, there were literally only 2 girls working and 1 seemed to be a manager. However the girl that served us was very nice. The customers that were there were giving the waitress a hard time for things out of her control and they stormed off and left only ordering lemonades. They missed out, our food was excellent. I had a bacon cheeseburger and my daughter had a plain kids burger. Everything was very good, the fries were super crispy and golden, and soft on the inside. 10/10 recommend but come with patience and don't be rude to the staff that are showing up.

Tia, who was my waitress, absolutely deserves a raise. She is such a hard worker and sooo kind. I wish every service worker was like her. Fast, efficient, and kind. Management, if you see this, please give that lady a raise! She more than deserves it! 5 Stars because of her.

I ordered the Country Fried Steak with mashed potatoes and broccoli as sides. I really liked the broccoli. I think it is seasoned just right. The steak and mashed potatoes are okay. I also ordered the marionberry and strabwerry rhubarb pies. I prefer the marionberry; it is very tasty.

The waiter was very polite and friendly. I had a really enjoyable time dining at Shari’s.

Generally, I think the pies are the main things to get when ordering. The entrées are reliable, just okay.

our server was Mathew he was very pleasant and brought up the quality of the atmosphere. We had the pleasure of meeting Lilly, who is fairly new to the Shari’s game, she provided us with hospitality not just service. She was very personable and definitely a huge improvement in quality of person as far as managers go. The other managers here are mediocre. Having her here is making a difference already. We will return just for Mathew and now Lilly.

went in to get a pie on pi day. dude running the counter was clearly worn out from people like us coming in all day BUT he had great customer service and I had a lovely short conversation with him. also the pie was freakin delicious!!

Was only one guy working the tables. He was very good but was very hard on him. Great smile & service was wonderful. He is great worker. Deserves a HUGE RAISE.

We had a very nice lunch! Our server was great and the sandwiches were wonderful!! But the restaurant needs some renovations! The carpet was terribly greasy looking, needs replaced! And the booths need some repair on the seats!
We took pie home with us and as usual the pie was great!!

The food was better than we expected! Nothing like fulfilling pregnancy cravings that is breakfast for dinner 😋 I love that they offer add-ons like strawberries and topped my french toast with whipped cream! Although probably not the most nutritious, it sure did hit the spot.

The atmosphere was nice and lower-lit than most restaurants I felt like. Great for sharing an intimate meal with friends or loved-ones. And our server David or Dave, (I can't remember), was great! His timing for checking on us was perfect and he made sure we had everything we needed. I was a little nervous giving Shari's a try after the effects of the pandemic, but seems like it hasn't skipped a beat. It's still as good as I remember!

Had to edit an old 5 star review. Ish i could give them 10 stars! I've lived near this Shari's for just over a year and visit frequently. It's a downhome affordable option for the neighborhood that feels like your getting a bang for your buck and good service. I go when I want a Dennys/IHOP experience without the generic feel. My server Jose is always there and awesome at his job. The food is always fresh, well made and accommodating to my person preferences. I, also have never had to spend more that 30 - 35 mins there with quality food and service. Kudos Shari's

I've been here several times and it's a nice casual place to eat. The food is pretty good, and it's not super loud or crowded

The wait staff are always friendly with a smile on their face. I believe her name is Hannah is always smiling and friendly.

Good atmosphere, polite waitress, testy meals and no heartburn or dieriea after eating-what also you need in good restaurant?

Stephanie was our server and she was so kind, and very understanding of my friend and I not wanting to keep our dog in a hot car. She brought my pet some water and was very sweet. The food was delicious as always.

My youngest son and I went here for lunch after his Dr appointment and he hadn't been here before I hadn't been here for many many years and forgot they were still here so we went and it was soo yummy and our waitress was very friendly and did a wonderful job!! It's a nice place chain so been in one pretty much been in them all. They were very under staffed and you could tell they were stressed but they were amazing. Good food priced decent service was great considering they were up against it.

Dean the server is an absolute professional. He recommended the pumpkin pancakes and they were fantastic. Get them while you can this 2023 Fall!
