I switched my service location for my Genesis from Larson Tacoma to Korum Puyallup a few years ago. Not only have I been satisfied with their stellar service, I was even more impressed with the sales staff. It was the main reason I decided to purchase a Santa Fe from here back in 2019. The consistency is what I truly love. I have seen staff come and go. But the service, professionalism, and care have never been impacted where I had a negative experience. I plan to make my next future Hyundai purchase here because of one thing only. Trust!

David Smith was so helpful and kind!

I've never brought my Hyundai anywhere else. I love that you get a complimentary car wash and vacuum with oil change. DJ is by far my favorite service rep - super helpful and friendly, takes time to explain things well so I feel confident about what we're doing to my car.

No problems with them so far. I've only been back twice to have some TSB software updates done and I'm in and out in a couple of hours.

Car had a recall and they were very helpful and friendly. Took time with my car and washed it before returning it. 💘 that. Thanks 😊

While it took months to secure an appointment, the service I received at Korum Hyundai was top-notch. The friendly staff, clean waiting area, and exceptional workmanship made the wait worthwhile. The service writer explained the process thoroughly, and the technicians completed the service efficiently. I highly recommend Korum Hyundai's Service Department to anyone looking for reliable car service, even if you have to wait a while to get in.

Service is always good but the courtesy shuttle is a myth. I've requested it 4 or 5 times in the last couple of years and it has never once shown up.

You take the good
You take the bad
Somewhere in the middle tiny bright stars of hope galaxies of wasted time

Somewhere in the middle Korum Hyundai is doing a pretty good job

They just didn't seem that happy too be there at work in the service department. Maybe I caught them on the wrong day. Not sure.

I can't even begin to explain how unprofessional this dealership has become. Apparently, some older vehicles have issues with the engines using too much oil. I can't even begin to explain the inconvenience this situation has caused over the past 6 months. Service seems to not be very empathetic regarding the situation and communication is nill. I've never been treated so poorly at a dealership in all my years of buying vehicles. Was going to trade my Sante Fe in on a Pallisade but I've lost all confidence in Korum and Hyundai in general. I'm not only stuck with a vehicle that is unsafe to drive and I can no longer enjoy, I can't even morally trade it in. Service does not even seem to be empathetic or concerned. Very disappointing situation.

Well, talking us into buying the extended warranty for their service, then scheduling us out a month so we have to garage our malfunctioning car, is so far our only experience. I'll update after the end of October.

Ridiculous appointment scheduling. If you want a scheduled service you have to wait 2 months. Wow! But the service is pretty good though.

This is by far the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced at any company. My vehicle had recall, and I had to wait two months for an appointment for a car that wasn’t even drivable. When I went into my appointment after waiting and towing my vehicle at my own expense due to the recall, I was told that it was just an evaluation appointment and that I would have to bring my car back again. This is where the problem started. When I had made that appointment two months prior, I was insured that everything would be fixed that day. The front desk girl who checked me in told me that the mechanic just lifted the panel off of my vehicle motor and Visually inspected only to see if there was an oil drip. I have a step-by-step guide of what the recall entails, and to the own admittance of staff they didn’t complete all necessary steps for the entire recall. They told me that my only issue was a bad battery, so I purchased a battery from them also had to pay for service and labor, even though it was a recall. I paid for my battery and believed that everything was fixed as that is verbally what the front desk woman told me. Two days later, my car wouldn’t start again, and I found out I had a dead battery. Before I purchased a new battery at this service location I did tell them that I had previously purchased a battery and they did absolutely no work to see why there was a battery drainage before selling me a new one and charging me almost $300. I contacted the service manager Keith and was told that I would receive a call within 24 hours because he needed to talk to his staff which was fair. It has now been over a week and I haven’t even gotten the basic courtesy of a phone call back. I have now filed a formal complaint with corporate as this is the worst service I have ever received. If a manager who works for Hyundai tells a customer that they guarantee a call back within 24 hours they need to follow through with that otherwise it makes all of Hyundai look bad. If the service on my vehicle is not part of the recall, I don’t expect it to be covered and I am willing to pay for it, but they can’t even have basic courtesy of letting me know what’s going on.

I bought an Ioniq 5 in September of 2023. I have yet to bring it in for maintenance or recall checks (basically it just needs tire rotations) to a dedicated Hyundai shop because every location I call is booked a month out. I dread the thought of something happening to the car and needing service asap. I love the car but I regret buying it.

I bought my Hyundai here a few months ago and could not possibly be happier with the sales process. However, what I did not realize is that there's effectively no functional service department for problems you might have.
My car is starting to have faults and so I called for a service appointment and was told the nearest time frame would be 3 and 1/2 months from now. I could understand waiting that long for a normal checkup but if you are having a debilitating problem with your vehicle, this effectively means that your form of transportation is in danger due to their inability to staff a proper service function.
I was becoming a big fan of this brand Hyundai but this should make you consider carefully whether that is a choice you can afford to make.

If you can get your vehicle in they are okay. Overpriced as to be expected, but okay with obvious and routine fixes. Services is slow, sometimes the problems go undiagnosed - thus unfixed. It takes several months to get an appointment. If you have a warranty (which is a selling point from Hyundai) good luck trying to use it and get the issue(s) fixed anytime soon. I have had a few issues that are 10 - 30 minute fixes that would be covered by warranty that couldn't be fixed for months. Yes months. I hope you have better luck than me!

Three weeks ago I tried to get my car serviced for a crankshaft sensor. My engine light was on and another light was on as well. I was told it would be 6 weeks before I could be seen. I ask isn’t it unsafe to drive around with those lights on and the service woman said probably not unless they’re blinking. I expressed my concerns about the car stalling on me. She didn’t share any compassion or empathy. So I waited a few weeks. My car died in traffic several times and on the freeway as well. I was exceedingly upset and anxious. I have physical and mental health issues I was fearful for my safety. I couldn’t just wait at home. I’ve got appointments and meetings to attend.
I called back on Monday the 14 th. With 4 weeks to my appointment. I was physically upset, my anxiety was up and so I called and spoke with another service woman. I stressed my fears and anxiety, I practically begged and was crying. Her response was we can’t get you in any sooner than December 12. And I’d keep that appointment because now we’re booking out into January.
Boy both agents didn’t even express any compassion or make any kind of effort to try and resolve my situation.
I won’t ever go to Korum Hyundai. Even though I love my car I’ll shop elsewhere when I need a replacement.

I wish I had read these reviews before taking my car here. Over a month ago, I scheduled service with Korum Hyundai with the earliest date being May 30 at 10AM. I dropped off my car on Monday, May 29th and put my key in the drop box with instructions on what I wanted. On the 30th, the day of the scheduled appointment, I dropped by sometime after 3:30 pm to find out the status. My car was in the lot so I thought they may be done. I spoke to a woman who told me they weren't sure what to do. She said they had called me (8:08AM). It was my cell number but they didn't leave a message nor did they try to call my home number. I indicated what I needed done, including an oil change and tune up. She said she didn't see that and then I pointed out that I had checked the boxes to which she said, "oh yeah". After discussing what I needed, she said they would get to it tomorrow since it was so late in the day.

No one called me the next day to update me on the status of my car. I waited until today at 1PM to call hoping they would be finished or nearly finished. I spoke to a woman (who didn't ID herself) who put me on hold. I was disconnected after 9 minutes! I called back but instead of getting the IVR, I was connected with someone who said she wasn't in the same building so she would transfer me. I was on hold, again, until Cameron answered. I told him my experience up to this point and his response was, "We are with other customers". He put me back on hold! When he came back on the line, he asked what good phone number for me was. I told him and he said no tech had clocked into it. I asked to speak to the tech but he said since no one was clocked into it it wasn't assigned to a tech. I asked to speak to the service manager. He put me on hold for a couple of minutes and then came back to say he couldn't find them.

I told him I had an appointment for Tuesday at 10 AM so why wasn't my car in the shop? He said there were other cars ahead of me with engine issues. I asked why I wasn't told this when I stopped by? Why hadn't someone called me to give me an update? He apologized and said "I don't know ". He promised to call me today by 3PM. We'll see...

We came to Korum because my wife had just taken her Focus to Korum Ford and they treated her well (shout out to Mike). Much different than what I was experiencing.

I've been in customer service for over 30 years, managed a tech team in a call center, a dispatch team, as well as being an instructor for customer service. I tell you this so you know that I know what standards are for customer service. This has been a very poor experience and I hope I get treated better going forward.
