Super 8 by Wyndham Monterey

We had a very nice experience at this motel back in December . The room was really nice and clean. I'll never forget how I lost my gold necklace, contacted the motel manager the next day, and he told me that he had it. I thought I would never find it again. He was so welcoming when we drove back to collect it, offering us coffee and a snack for the little one. Thank you so much again! I definitely recommend this motel.

Passing through while on a road trip down California Pacific highway 1. Daily destination unknown so I seldom book a hotel in advance. When arriving in monterey, I started my search with the cheapest hotel, disqualifying any based on cleanliness, upkeep, and service. I arrived with my service dog at 11:00 p.m., the front desk service was excellent. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and speedy. I received a online matched pricing and had no issues with my service dog. The outside of the hotel was well kept and appeared safe. The parking lot had plenty of room and was well lit. Rooms have been well renovated and feature modern conveniences. Everything was clean and well-kept. Bed linens and towels were clean, folded, and professionally presented. Curtains have been replaced with wood shutters providing blackout conditions. In-wall single room HVAC system connected to in-wall thermostat for easy use. Van acoustics a bit loud but consistent with other hotels between similar HVAC in this price range. Bathroom was clean and properly stocked. Water flow just fine, no problems with hot or cold. No issues with sound between rooms or the parking lot. Overall, very happy with my one night stay and would stay again.

I travel over 100 days a year for my job and stay exclusively in Wyndham properties, so I review each one. The parking lot was clean and well lit on arrival. Check in went smoothly. My room, a king single, was clean, with a comfortable bed and awesome pillows. All of the stated amenities were in place, such as the microwave, small refrigerator, and coffee maker. My air conditioner/heater worked well. The television had a good selection of channels and a nice picture. The breakfast area was clean and they kept bringing fresh items. Despite being an older property the rooms are very nice, you can tell the owners care about the hotel and guests. I do not get out this way often but I would certainly stay here again if needed.

We are visiting from out of town, working on a construction project at Pebble Beach. We've been staying at Super 8 for about a week and a half and we expect to be here another 10 days or so.

This place is clean! The front desk is super nice and efficient. The room attendants are incredible as well. Like I mentioned about room conditions, cleanliness is at the top of their priority list.

When I checked in, they asked how often we needed room attendants service. We could have had every day, but we opted for every other day. I don't get this option at any other hotel I stay at. You usually have to call the front desk whenever you want the room serviced.

No breakfast in the morning, but they do offer free coffee in the lobby. Denny's and other restaurants are within close walking distance of this motel. The fairgrounds are directly behind the motel. Very convenient and the price is right, especially for Monterey!

Cute hotel, good value (even over the weekend). Easy check-in, polite staff, CLEAN rooms. We asked for a 2 Queen room and were given Room 100 which is a 2 room suite with a TV in each room. Coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator were all provided. Would stay here again.

Nice clean place with good access, price was very reasonable and a good value. No frills but clean and a good location.

Location was great for us as we wanted it to be close to Big Sur but on our way back to SF. There is gas station near by.
The hotel was basic (obviously not a lux accommodation) and it was value for money. It was clean and had all the necessities for a night. There is free coffee/tea in the office. You can definitely hear the neighbors if they walk past your door, but otherwise not so loud in general.

Love this place.. the staff here are all very friendly and helpful. We have stayed here several times and will definitely be going back soon. The room was nice, clean, and quiet.. highly recommend!

GREAT place to stay!!!!! I personally love Super8, but if you don't then just stay here a night and let it change your mind! Rooms are decent sized, with amenities like a mini fridge and flat screen TV and hair dryer. Free continental breakfast is provided, and it's in a great location. Denny's is right across the street, and it's literally a 3 min drive to Del Monte Beach!!!! Definitely worth checking this place out!

Stayed here 1 night along our road trip. The room was clean and the washroom was very spacious. The rooms have been renovated which is always a bonus. Cannot go wrong staying here for the price.

Great place to stay for the price you pay - good location, clean and well-equipped rooms with coffee and fridge; breakfast is similar to majority of US hotels, no surprises here. Very friendly owners! Room cleaning service found my bracelet and my watch, gave them to the main office - where I finally found them few hours later. I needed to sign the receiving log to get my goodies back :) Really appreciate this neatness!

Loved this place. Stayed 18 nights with zero issues. Clean, well maintained. Some noise from the business next door. Sulochana at the front desk was friendly and accommodating.

Best bed , super clean and nice refurbished room . A fridge ,nice big tv . For a good night sleep this is perfect. No hot tub or weight room , great place to launch from ,close to major attractions..

Workers are friendly. Wifi Internet is decent, i can check emails, go to sites, download and read pdfs, update cell phone apps with no lag at all. Room is clean. Bed and towels are clean. Bathroom is clean. The surrounding area is nice and quiet, i didn't have problem sleeping after traveling on the road for the whole day. Breakfast area is small, only got 2 tables, but the food there is enough for everyone. There is no bacon and scramble eggs, but this is the best one you can get for free. I would recommend this over other motels. I stayed in a travelodge for the same trip at a different night, i had a bad experience. This is my 2nd super8 for this trip. I will always choose super8 as my first choice now.

Very friendly, comfortable bed, spacious room, coffee making equipment provided. Breakfast was supplied in reception as a self service. Just what you need to start the day.

Very Comfortable place. A little Pricey. But the Value is Indeed Apparent. And check in Could be Smoother. The Attendant seems Stressed. Maybe that's from the days we're All living in; and dealing with Rude Occupants. Never the Less.....Hope we can All Treat Each Other how we would Appreciate Being Treated.

Great service, overall value, good parking for one vehicle and large restrooms. No microwave but one located in the lobby. Continential Breakfast included. Great location which is a plus!
