I typically don't complain about a bad experiences, but in this case I have to say something! ALWAYS A GREAT EXPERIENCE when I visit this location. Staff is always super friendly, helpful, and willing to help. So please let the staff know they are appreciated and I always enjoy my shopping experiences when I visit. This store outfitted me with my Asics trail running shoes, hiking boots, and my waterproof high quality Columbia puffed slicker jacket. After coming here, I was ready to embark on all my favorite central cal bay area activities :) Great service. Great selection. Reasonable prices :)

Great store. Lots of cool gear. The manager is super friendly and helpful. On one particular visit i seen a pair shoes on clearance that I was about 10$ short on being able to afford and the manager went ahead and marked it down for me. I thought thought that was very kind him and worth mentioning

I needed to buy some work shoes and found a pair of hiking boots, a backpack with a camel back and a weighted blanket. The selection of sporting goods as well as camping gear is awesome and the staff, if they don't know the answer, they're not afraid to ask their colleagues for advice and get you the right item. That's one thing I always admire, when the staff doesn't push something on you because they want to make a sale. Everyone here was so helpful and made sure I actually got what I came in for. I have been buying shoes here for a long time and they are always helpful and friendly to the customers. I bought shoes and soccer cleats today, but the tag was marked wrong for the soccer cleats. The cashier was very nice and gave me the sale price and apologized. Great place and awesome people!

There is a super nice Manger thats always there at night. He is super helpful, he has great customer service skills and really knows his products and is willing to get it for you and bring it to the register. He is a "Big Five" representing the 5 stars.

I'm a total new-be to guns,my interest focused upon target practice,as a way to quieting by senses and plain becoming more grounded. I went in feeling totally prepared for being treated like some sort of idiot, knowing as little as I did. Comfortably,and surprisingly just the opposite occurred during my next three visits to this store. Sales representatives Jessica A. and Ramon never once rolled their eyes or in anyway treated my like a dummy,instead they were polite,clear,and extremely informative . After a few visits, I had bought a Sig pistol,gas cartridge propelled 10 shot magazine, .177 caliber,Navy Seal replica .. as well as two single action break barrel Gamo rifles,in 22 caliber and .177 caliber. . Both Ramon and Jessica gave me advise around gear bag, and the broad choices around ammo picks. Conclusion... whether for sports gear,or outdoor clothing,every family should give The 5 some of your business. You'll be given personal attention,politely and professionally,plus your purchases are covered by the stores generous satisfaction return policy .

I have lots of issues with my feet. I've had several surgeries on them. I recently had custom orthodics made, which called for me to buy all new shoes in a larger size. It is imperative that I buy the best shoes possible. Jacob was the best! He was so patient with me as I sent him back and forth with different shoes, going up and down in half size increments.

Today I had to return a pair (I knew they were too big, they were just so cute and the only size they had 😊). Alvaro assisted me and was as kind and helpful as he could be! Reasonable prices and helpful associates...what more could you ask for?

Just like any other Big 5, they have a ton of stuff and always have decent prices that are usually on sale. They have a lot of outdoor stuff as well as apparel, workout clothes, shoes, and anything sports-related. The staff is very friendly and will always give you a helping hand. It is definitely in a convenient location

Being going to Big 5 for many years dating back to their move to Seaside and the locations in Monterey to include the present location..
Parking sometimes could be challenging...I suspect that's because of the great and quality deals..
The staff goes out of their way to help, even though they are under staffed
