Awesome park for a wide range of ages! Lots of different climbing structures including a boat for the 1-yr old range, many slides, swings, and a rock wall! Park has plenty of picnic tables to go around. Bathrooms are clean and have a changing table. They state on signage no pesticides have been used on the park since 2001 too.

Only nuance to be aware of is the main parking lot is small so you may need to find street parking.

Beautiful and HUGE playground with tons to do and explore. Seriously, as an adult you'll enjoy it as well.

Wonderful time and it overlooks the ocean, park, and the pedal boats you can rent on the body of water.

This is a beautiful park. The park has many different things for the kids to play with. There were swings, slides, small maze and other jungle type gyms to run around in. The park resides next to a small lake that almost surrounds around the whole park. My 2 year old daugther loved this park and was upset when we left. This is a park perfect for all ages of kids.

We visited Monterey for the day and on the way into town my kids noticed this park from the road. I’m glad we stopped to check out this park because my kids ended up having so much fun. There was a lot for them to explore and quite a few structures for them to play on. The park was nice and well kept and everyone played nicely. We will definitely stop here again next time we’re in town.

We try to take the kids here every time we are in the area, because it's not like any other park we have at home.
There's a suspension bridge that they love to run back and forth across, a rock climbing area with challenges for all different levels, side by side racing slides, and a lot of room to run and explore.
The only negative of this park is the parking. For such a large playground, there's a tiny parking lot and then street parking, but that requires crossing a busy street with kids. We've lucked out and circled the lot a few times to get a spot.

Absolutely love this place. Every time we come to Monterey, we stop here to let the kids play. It's so huge and fun that even I end up running around with my kids and be active.

Best and largest free kids playground in the area! They also have affordable fast food for sale at the park entrance.

Fun park with unique play area with bridges, tunnels, mazes, climbing wall. Skate park right next to it as well as paddle boat rentals nearby. Restrooms on site.

Absolutely dangerous! The best place for kids to understand the consequences of gravity!!! Plenty of things to climb on, jump off, and explore. A park that lets kids be actual kids. Plus it’s fenced off so you don’t have to worry as much about losing your kid.

One of the best playgrounds we’ve been to. It’s huge and very popular with a climbing wall, bridge, and multiple play structures. It’s also located near a pond where you can rent pedal boats by the 1/2 hour. There no sand in this playground, but instead there are wood chips. Great for a wide range of ages.

My 3 girls had a blast there yesterday. I wish we had a park like that over here in the central valley. Snack bar at the entrance sells good food. It's a great park to visit if you have kids. Definitely recommend this place.

Great park, my kids really enjoyed theirselves. There are so many things at this play ground I would say it’s more like a amusement park then a regular park, park.

Basically the most amazing free park you can possibly go to. My kiddo doesn’t want to leave and he is having the time of his life. I really like the shrub maze and all the slides. All park designers should study this one. I think it has to be the top of top fun parks.

My kids, 7,5,&3, love coming to this park. It has a little bit of everything and clean restrooms!

There is a rock climbing wall, a suspension bridge , water fountain, various things to climb on, a boat/water play area for smaller kiddos, two very large play structures, a roller slide, a small hedge maze with a lookout tower, and this rotating/spinning play structure that is like a crazy and modern take on a merry-go-round. There are also a few swings.

Beyond the playground itself, there is a small pond with paddle boats for rental, picnic tables, and a small skate park.

The entire playground area is fenced with only 1 gate for entrance and exit. This definitely helps ease anxiety for those with a runner or multiple kids since it helps to keep them contained. Majority of the play area is covered with mulch with the exception being some of the areas around the actual play structures and slides. Mainly the areas where a more traumatic fall would occur, there is the rubbery, flat material.

There is a decent amount of parking but only a small bike rack. I imagine parking may be harder when there is a ball game happening at the attached ball field. However, there would most likely be plenty of street parking.

Overall a wonderful playground for all ages.

A large and very fun playground with lots to do and explore. There are some unique aspects too not often seen other places: a roller slide (a little too bumpy for this grownup), a huge merry go round, a very tall slide, a suspension bridge, a rock wall, and even a train engine (though sadly you can’t play on it.

Our kids had a great time for hours over multiple visits. There’s a small pond nearby where you can rent paddle boats (some are shaped like dragons, others as ducks and swans, super fun, $25-$40/hour depending on type of water fowl). There’s also a skatepark Nextdoor, what a blast.
