Caucasian man with glasses elderly says I make a mess every time when I'm on the store. Got upset when I put chili and cheese on my chips saying that they're only for nachos.

There's no sign that says their only for nachos.

Even said I owed him money for the sauces that I "wasn't allowed to get" next time when I told him I'd pay for it how I intended on paying for it.
Gave me a brown paper bag to put my chips in after I asked him if I may put my bag that I had accidentally ripped into the nachos chips shell container.

I was super nice and friendly upon meeting this guy. About a week ago, told me he was happily married for 20 aught years... Dunno why he's getting upset thats not my fault he wasn't trained ( not knowing where the extra condiment button is located)

I was disappointed out of all the coffee they only had one kind. They don't have restrooms either.

So trying to help a disabled vet customer get some gas is much too inconvenient for some. All i want is gas.

Some folks just shouldn't be allowed to work in any service industry.

But then again it is 7-11.

$1.59 for small / $1.99 for big sodas!! What happened to the 0.99 cent refill? (Super). This is a store with unpleasant intentions!! (Greed)!

I had come to our trusty 7 Eleven for some gas and mid day soda run yesterday November 21st, 2022. When I arrived we were met with a older lass at the counter. She seemed nice until I observed her watching some of her other customers. A younger black gentlemen was at the self serve counter grabbing some napkins; throughout our whole transaction she would whip back around to watch him, hounding him telling him not to do it a certain way, critiquing his every move. She finished our transaction of drinks, one being a yoohoo, and sent us on our way.

I didn't put too much thought into it (although I did note her behavior was odd and potentially ill choiced), as I did not know this man, and if he was a reoccurring 'dishonest' customer. However, of my time living in Monterey and frequenting this particular 7 eleven, I had never run into him, he was very kind and went on his merry way when he finished his time at the self serve counter.

Once I got home I found out my drink of 'yoohoo' (a chocolate milk drink) was bad. Although the best by date was fine, the safety lid did not pop up once I opened it, and it seemed that it had already been opened. I intended on returning or exchanging it the following day as I knew my own car needed gas this time.

Here's where we catch up to today, November 22nd, 2022. I had just went back to exchange and purchase my gas, and 'lucky me', the same lady was my cashier. I told her of the yoohoo and asked to exchange, before I could finish my sentence she said, 'no'. Perplexed as I still had the receipt and the full bottle of yoohoo, I asked again, "So I cant exchange it? The lid didn't pop up when I opened it, it was already opened" and she again repeated her response and then quickly asked when I purchased it.
As I was put on the spot by her abrassiveness I responded "a couple of days ago". Now at this time, she had taken my reciept and was scrolling over it, and once she was finished, shoved it back at me and told me, "no, thats too long ago!". Either she didn't actually read the receipt or did but didn't believe me. If this was a return I would be more understanding as this would be a loss for the store, however I asked to exchange, and it was just the day before as it showed on the receipt.

To be the devils advocate, the receipt did look withered, but she put it with all the refergirated drinks -just the day before mind you- inside the bag so it didn't look crisp. I don't normally write reviews as I know they can be quite bias but I did my best to describe everything as how it happened. I am surprised nobody has said something to her as it seems there are other reviews speaking on their interaction with her.

I don't usually return items that went bad as I just deal with it, but I figured I could get two birds with one stone, getting the gas I needed. With everything I have witnessed, it shows that she does not remember who she has rung up the day before (however I was dressed down in my pajamas today to do my morning runs). It seems that she is profiling people or simply is not a caring worker. Retail is a hard job to do, especially when it's a 24/7 store, but I believe this is something that needs to be looked into. A 3 dollar drink isn't that important, but the impression your cashiers make on the people that come in, does. I hope you look into this matter and respond accordingly to what you find.

Want a big gulp? Don't get it here. All the drinks were watered-down just buy a bottled soda instead. Staff was nice so I don't blame them. Clearly the owner is squeezing every cent out of the soda syrup. 🙄

This store is a straight rip off. They have a sign up that you can choose 5 items off the grill for 4$, but the non-English speaking clerk said the stuff was at that price, but it rang up as eight dollars. I’m here to tell you if you steal from people like you stole from me, you got nothing to say when people steal from you, if you can’t do better than that, having a lying, thieving clerk, who tried to offer me the rest of the food on the grill rather than a refund. You suck. The next time I hear you crooks got robbed, I’ll tell everybody I know somebody got the right change. I wouldn’t have paid but I had handed over a ten dollar bill without being able to understand the Asian antique you have working there.

The guy who works late night/graveyard shift has a pattern of mistreatment towards customers. I hoped that that pattern of behavior would have been rectified by now seeing as he is not a new employee. I recommend retraining the young man so he can do his job properly. Clearly he doesn't care too much as is demonstrated by his attitude. If I could give him negative stars I would. Shame on you for having such low standards 7-11!

Watch out for the older woman at the register. She is a thief and will charge you $.25 for a bag, even if you don't want one, even if you tell her "no bag". Then she will feign ignorance and ask you to put your card in and still not remove the $.25 bag fee. By the way, they've got some nerve charging $.25 for a small, paper bag anyway.
