This beach park is a great place to visit. There is a 1 1/4 mile trail that gets you to and from the park. The trail has quite a few hills, so be prepared for a workout. Once you arrive at the beach, the scenery is incredible. You can see the Olympic Mountains from the beach on a clear day.

Amazing hike and beautiful ocean scenery. Some benches scattered about and honey buckets at the beach side. For an early morning hike, this is hard to beat. Not crowded. Not noisy just nature, a creek and the ocean. Clean fresh air. Mossy trees.

Bring water and snacks the return trip is challenging but surmountable. Definitely see myself coming here weekly.

Wonderful beach with gorgeous view of the Olympics. We hiked down a mile . Beautiful wood, especially now with the fall colors.
Hike back up is a nice challenge for many, for some it may be too much to do the whole walk.
My dog is in dog heaven every time we go there.

I don't know how you couldn't love this place. It's a nice hike down to the beach with some effort, and that is part of the beauty. It may take some time to find parking at busy times but it is well worth it to get your outdoor fix.

You start at Lunds Gulch parking lot. Parking lot is usually full. It holds about 40 cars. We had to park on the street above. The hike is steep with steps part of the way. It is old growth forest with streams along the way. Dog friendly, saw many people walking their dogs. We had our dog with us. At the bottom of the trail just as you get to the beach, it is being refurbished to make it more wildlife friendly. It appears they are making it better for salmon runs. We spent time at the beach where it was windy on the day we went. Then back up the steep hill. Took it slower going back.

Gorgeous. The trees, the beach, and the view are all incredible. The trail is steep and longer than 1.2 miles, but worth the effort. They don't have bathrooms or porta-potties yet, but they are several picnic tables at the beach.

One of the best local beach parks and great spot to catch a sunset but be careful about the parking lot closing. Luckily, the note on my car was a warning and told me how to open the gate.

Love this short little city hike through the towing trees. Blackberries dot the tail in late summer and fall.
On this day when we went, the tide was in, so not as much sandy shores as you would find during a low tide day.

Very beautiful down hill hike into the beach. I had to take a couple breaks on the way back to the car, only because I'm so out of shape. Great place to hike to get back in shape, they are doing a lot of great upgrades.
Currently only one port o potty that made me feel like vomiting from the smell, but it had toilet paper.

The trail to Meadowdale Beach Park is about a mile long . The trail is clean and there is a flight of stairs. The beach is clean and on a clear day, we can see Olympic range . It usually takes about 30 minutes to return back to parking lot , as the return journey is slightly uphill. Occasionally, we can see the Sounder and freight trains over the newly constructed railroad bridge .

Pretty nice beach at the end of the trail. The trail is 1 mile, easy to go down. Harder going back up since most of it is uphill so definetly bring water. There are stairs and other obstacles so strollers/wheels would take longer to go down there.

They upgraded a lot at the beach but one major downside for the long run is that they put permanent structure for honey buckets. Would of been so much better to build a permanent public restroom there. Honey buckets get pretty gross.

Wow! The trail has been renovated and it is so beautiful! The beach view just opens up in front of you!

The trek is all downhill going to the beach and all uphill going back so save some water for the climb!

Our 3 pups loved it too!!!

Great little hike! Coming back up the hill was pretty steep in places, but the trail is beautiful and the beach is gorgeous! I visited in early January and there were only a few parking spaces available, so I can only imagine how busy it is in warmer weather. There are port-a-potties down by the beach as well. Be sure to give yourself enough time to climb back up the hill to get back to your car before dusk as the entrance gate will be closed and locked at that time. There was a sign posted that they would be closed at 5pm when I was there, but he sure to check before you go.

A gorgeous hike through a lush Forrest with scattered benches to rest, snack and enjoy Mother Nature ending up at a lovely PNW beach could not make for a lovelier day!

The only downside is parking is a nightmare

1.5 miles down hill to the beach. It's 500 feet of elevation. Easy to get down, more of a struggle if you aren't used to it.

Very nice park with a easy trial for a beach that is never crowded👍.

The parking lot is always usually full. I saw a lot of people park further / closer to residential homes.
• The good thing is the parking lot is small so there’s not much people that you will see out in the trail and in the beach.

I love this place. You park up at the top of the bluff and hike down to the beach through a forested trail. You cross a small stream and go down stairs and finally under a railroad underpass to reach the beach. You feel like you earned the amazing view once you get there. I always take time to drink in the view. Then you begin your ascent back up to the top. It's a little challenging, however I see kids and old folks going up the trail with no issue. There is a handicap parking lot if you need it.
