This is such a nice place to explore. There is so much to do that you will need at least 2 days to really enjoy it. We had just a few hours and I left wanting more. We visited the rose and Iris garden, it was not time for the Dahlias not the Fuchsias yet but it would have been beautiful for sure! We also walked around some of the trails and explored the beach. Great job to the City in maintaining the park. I very much recommend it.

Beautiful park. So many trails to explore, plus the beach if that is your preference. The dog park is a great spot to let the dog off leash in between exploring the trails. Only down side is that it is not fully fenced, so may not be a good spot for those little escape artists.

Very spacious park. It has a beautifully maintained garden area. There are no flowers as of now, but I am sure it will be breathtaking when spring comes. Variety of flora is impressive and unique. There was this huge tree that I instantly fell in love with. Also I was surprised to find out that there are two historical buildings located in this park. One of which used to be a residential house, and another one used to be a train station more than 100 years ago.
I am definitely coming back. Walking there felt super refreshing 💖

If you have a about 2 hours free for a mosey—this is the place. Gorgeous flowers. I was shocked there were a few Sequoias!! I’m originally from the east coast so give me a massive tree to marvel at and I’m one happy lady.

I'll add more to this later but without a doubt you need to go it's a spectacular park right in the ocean with old growth rainforest I sorts of historic stuff because you're nearby housing restaurants and great places to walk even after hours in the dark along the ocean it seems well that is beautiful. I recommend it highly

Hiked the 4.6 mile outer rim trail (trail markers dark blue). It's rated "moderate". But I would say this is a lower moderate scale. The elevation gain is less than 400' and it is probably a 3% grade. So many folks actually consider that easy.
I recommend you come early in the morning to finish your hike by 10AM. The parking lots get full by 11:00. There's quite an influx of people arriving at 10:30ish.

Early mornings allow you to enjoy the birds, deer and all the little critters as you hike.

Beautiful place to visit. A few people were having their pictures done here. So nice to see so many beautiful flowers in different stages of growth and colors. The layout was really easy to walk through. Such a lovely space. There were four deer when I was leaving and they were close to traffic, but people got some pictures. Such a delight. Definitely a must for nature lovers and people who love flowers.

Beautiful little park!! Did not make it to the zoo, but you can hear the animals!! Lovely little rose gardens, dahlias, & Japanese garden...

We went to drive around the 5 mile loop, but it is inaccessible by car, perfect place for a family bike ride though...

I love this little park. The pond is full of turtles, birds, and other wildlife. The rose gardens are beautiful when they're in bloom. The bathrooms are always decently clean for park bathrooms, iykyk. It's a really pretty area - sometimes you'll see deer roaming around.
