Pomodoro Italian Restaurant & Bar

This is a cute little Italian restaurant. The service was sincere and sweet. The food coming in gigantic portions which threw me off and I forgot to take a pic but let's just say I had leftovers and not because it didn't taste good (the pic I posted is of a clam appetizer dish we got-- soooo yummy!) Amazing experience here! If you're in the Tacoma area please try them out you won't regret it!

First off, Richard gave us the best service we’ve had in many years ANYWHERE! We walked in, sat down, and couldn’t believe how fast we had drinks and appetizers. The food is phenomenal! Super authentic, made to order and delicious! I can’t wait to come back. ❤

We were seated and attended to immediately. Our waitress was spot on, friendly with great recommendations but not intrusive. The food was amazing, and that glass of Chianti was smooth and delicious.

The food was so delicious and the lunch prices were really affordable! We ordered the chicken piccata and three cheese tortellini

Amazing. Calamari was divine, halibut almondine delicious, lasagna some of the best ever (except mine)

Great food and great service! Cozy atmosphere and vibe. The food was truly fantastic and very flavorful. Cocktails were absolute perfection! If you are a fan of bread pudding....GET IT!!!

We had a real good lunch here today. We ordered Seafood medley pasta, Smoked salmon penne and tiramisu. While both pastas were very delicious, Seafood medley with white wine lemon butter sauce was exceptionally great. Tiramisu was good but wasn't too impressive. Parking was a bit challenging but we will definitely come back to this place.

Had an awesome meal for our party of 10 here Saturday night (celebrating my mom's 65th birthday!). Server Christine was superb and provided excellent service. All of our food was delicious (eggplant ravioli pictured below...so good). Thanks for providing our family with a special evening.

AMAZING! Food was well worth the price, calamari, salmon penne, and clam chowder were the best. Price is also great for italian food.

Went at happy hour yesterday and the well drinks were good and strong. The three of us then went over to the dining area for an early dinner. Portions were large and delicious! The Butternut Squash was to-die-for. Waiter was excellent. My favorite Italian restaurant in Tacoma.

Yes there is Marzano's and Macaluso's to frequent when a craving for Italiano cuisine rushes over you.
However, do NOT OVERLOOK Pomodoro in the Proctor district.
Every day authentic foods arrive in gigantic portions at very moderate prices. Great pour cocktails and a wine list that is moderate but won't cause you sticker shock.
You will also find yourself in an environment that is unpretentious, comfy and feels homey.

Quaint, cozy atmosphere with prompt, friendly service. Had the special; linguini with seafood, basil and feta. Very fresh and flavorful.

Went here on an old fashion date with my husband. Great food and wonderful service. We love this place. We can dress down or dress up. Definitely worth the trip. The food is amazing and has a home cooked meal quality. You will not be disappointed!!!

Recent visit to Pomodoro's was lovely as always. Happy to have gotten a table a bit early on a Sunday. Enjoyed our favorite Fried green beans as well as our entrées, chicken marsala and chicken Florentine. Plentiful servings and excellent service as always. Be back soon 🍝🍷

Had a wonderful dinner. Our first trip in and will definitely be back. We live in Olympia and have looked for a good Italian place. We had an antipasto plate, and then salads, soup was tomato bisque. I had prawns Milano, which had a wonderful creamy sauce. My husband had chicken carbonara which he enjoyed, though preferred the sauce on my dish. My Mother-in-law had spaghetti with marinara sauce and a meatball, her boyfriend had hot sausage ferrucci made with a red sauce and cheese. Totally enjoyed our meals. For dessert we had kahlua chocolate mousse cake which will be enough of a reason for me to stop in again. Very satisfied with our meal

Excellent food and service, at a great value! This cozy italian restaurant is a real gem. Service is fast and friendly, and the large open air bar area is really nice. Besides offering excellent Italian dishes, steaks and chops, and ex ellent salads are also available. The bar seeves premium alcohol without the premium price you would expect of a fine dining establishment of this cailber.

Just had another great meal! (Chicken Marsala & Prawns Milano) While we were enjoying ours, saw the gentleman across from us ask to talk to the chef who made his Picatta (Kudos to Matt!!) and raved about how good it was. We had an enjoyable time with all the staff, love it every time we come here!!

You don't understand how important it is to have a solid Italian place near you until you don't. Moved from East coast in 2020 and it took me nearly 3 years to find a good place to get chicken Parm. Pomodoro is the ONLY place maybe besides IL Lucano that knows how to make proper chicken Parm. Like absolutely on point. Thank you!

Really great place to eat. Great friendly service. My friends and I were on a road trip back to Seattle from Mt. Ranier. I got the smoked salmon penne, and it was delicious and worth its value (~$11). I was satisfied and would come back if I was in the area.
