Wilcox Park

Great Park with lots to do huge grass field several picnic tables gazebos basketball court bathrooms wooded area to walk with kids, couples or walking your dog. This park has two covered areas one is a gazebo style with a built-in barbecuer and two picnic tables the other is a really large covered area with about six picnic tables underneath if you want to hold a large party this one is in the back of the park. There are two entrances to this park one up in the back and then one in the front where the playground is. Many people play soccer or volleyball in the open field it is huge so there's lots of room

Small park with many different zones. I like to be here - fantastic trees, a big futball-volleyball zone, a barbecue zone, a children's zone, and maaany squirrels!

This park is HUGE! It has a huge field with tons of trees you can adventure though and take a walk and look at all the beautiful nature! The playground is so much fun, it has the best tire swing and slides! The basketball court is an added bonus! Great for all ages! The bathrooms are normally always clean and tidy! This park is kept very well cleaned and nice! The parking lot is decent size as well!

Great little park to walk your dog, have a picnic, play basketball or let the kids play on the playground. There is a large open grass field with several picnic tables and two covered picnic areas with bbqs tucked in the woods. The park has both sunny and shaded areas.

Aka flag park its a nice size got a playground, trails, picnic table and some more stuff it's your basic neighborhood park. But with lots of flagpoles for some reason.

It gets 5 star because bathrooms were open. It's hard to find parks nowadays that contain an open bathroom. The atmosphere is also very good. Good grass, a nice open field to play ball games in. Also has some real nice covered picnic areas.

Nice and clean, good place for kids to run around and play.

This was a very nice little hidden park that you would drive right on by if you wasn't paying attention lol. Kinda ducked off and covered by trees for some good shade. That's a park that Diamond and I will spend some more time at here soon yeeeee

Great for kids, walk your dog, sit in the car - have a break.

Its a good road stop park. Plenty of space to it and a play area. Pick nick tables and such. I don't remember there being any BBQ stands however that does not mean there are not any. Be warned there is not much parking there so it can get filled up fast when people do family outings there. Restroom is available and usually kept clean. I do not remember it being open at night so you may want to find another place to stop and go if you have to.

This park, so far, is my dog's favorite park. Not many people there in the fall or winter. There are people who bring their dogs there regularly. I enjoy seeing them again and my dog gets happy seeing her dog friends again. I've only noticed dog poo left behind once.
4/24/23 Update
There is water dripping from the ground on the north side of the park close to the parking lot. It's been growing for years. It makes the ground squishy and muddy. I try to keep my dog out of it so I don't have to bathe her again.
Otherwise, the park is pretty much the same. Still my dog's favorite park to go to.

I have enjoyed "flag" park (called after all the flag poles that line the 196th st side of the park) since I was a kid.

Its large enough to make social distancing easily possible despite it's popularity. My family bbq'd yesterday, originally we planned to go to picnic point where there's a beach and you get a beautiful sunset view but even though their small parking lot wasn't full we decided with how small the park is(not a lot of picnic tables etc) that we'd better find a less crowded one for safety. We watched some volley ball games get played in the field by the flag poles which I see there frequently.

Only issue was it was the end of the day, the sun was on its way down, and we were in the shadier north side of the park so it started cooling off more quickly than we would have preferred.

I been going to this park of and on for years. Nice park. Did a birthday party here also.

It was later in the evening. But, definitely cautious parents all wearing masks along with the older kids as well. You could tell all the children and kids were eager to play with their peers and having a good time including my son. It was an awesome sight to see I'm these tough times.

Really lovely space. Nice combo of built out park areas and untouched forest groves.

I grew up coming to this park and nothing has changed!! I still get the same comfortable feeling of relaxation each time and can always reminisce on the days my family threw many parties and BBQs there.
