Cute and simple little hike that is dog and family friendly. The trail begins with a view of a little stream amongst an overhang of trees. There are tons of plants and shade around. Some of the trail is very thin with not much walking space, but that is towards the end of the hike, coming back towards the parking lot. There are a couple cute wooden bridges to cross and there is also a fork in the road where you can venture off to rose canyon. We chose to continue along boundary trailhead where you can walk alongside the coaster tracks and check out all the graffiti (artwork) on the walls. There were 2 stream crossings where our feet got a little wet, but there are rocks set up to help cross easier. You get to walk along the hillside on the way back and that is where the trail really thins out. We did see many bike riders along the trail and some were zooming down pretty fast, so pay attention to your surroundings.

This trail is shady and quiet. Great for a sunny day stroll. Don’t forget to bring water, take your trash with you, keep your dogs on a leash and clean up after them.

It is fun to find all of the various entrances/exits. The Limerick entrance is almost like you are in a different park with the trails, cliffs and dead-end destinations.

I bring my kids all the time because there's an easy trail for them to do, but also lots of trees to climb on, sticks to find, and when it rains there's a creek to play and throw rocks in. There are also off-road type trails for biking.

Only been here a handful of times. It’s a nice place to walk, I bring the dogs here. It’s nice when the stream is flowing vs the stagnant pools. Trees make for some good photos.

I’ve just recently moved to San Diego and I’m always on the lookout for new spots. Luckily I came across this park by a recommendation from a friend. When I visited, there had been quite a bit of rain, so the creek prevented me from exploring most of it as I came unprepared for walking across. The area that I was able to access was beautiful and was a beautiful place to take photos. There was also an accessible restroom which was nice. There is plenty of parking and highway access going both directions was extremely easy to access. I saw a couple bmx riders having fun and plenty of people out for a stroll. I will be returning to check out the other areas and also to finish exploring this trailhead and I’ll be bringing rain boots. Photos by Heather Broomhall Photography

There is a bathroom, but you would have to hike at least 20 minutes east...the scenery is always beautiful

MTB trails for a 7 mile out and back ride. Several spots are very technical. Much of the creek bottom areas are simply a pleasure to ride underneath the tree canopy.

On a June Sunday afternoon, only passed 5 people...but lots of birds!
Variety of vegetation , not too strenuous. Marion, San Clemente, and Rose, all run below much of west 52.

One of my favorite locations with a variety of sceneries. The fall foliage is so beautiful, especially for being so close to the ocean. For more of my work, follow me at @linettegaryphotography

Great place to go for a walk, never knew it even existed. Found this place by accident but glad I did.

A nice relatively level walk along a dry creek bed. Some great rocky areas if you are looking for rocks to point!

A pleasant surprise so close to civilization. Easily within 10 minutes of San Diego, this place offers a pleasant place to go for a nature stroll.

I couldn’t find the portion that is supposed to be a steep hike, but part of the paths a mile in was blocked by overgrown brush so I couldn’t advance.

My new favorite crawl spot! All shapes and sizes of rocks, steep hills and great vegitation. Best thing is that it's clean with minimal graffiti and trash. Let's keep it that way unlike other awsome crawler spots which are vandalised.

Beauitful trails (be on the look out for folks on bikes tho! Sometimes they have a bell or will call out.. but a lot of the area features blind curves!)
