Kearny Mesa Park

This park is so much nicer cleaner and quieter than nearby Linda Vista. There are usually dogs being walked and the owners are usually laid back about dog interactions. Lots of flat grass to walk and some sports fields that are used for sports by local students.

Really large dog park for all size dogs. There is no separation of size or weight. There are a bunch of benches and chairs here, mostly placed under the trees to catch shade. The center of the park is all dirt, no shade or trees, and the outskirts of the park (with trees) have weeds underneath. Overall, still an alright park because it's huge and plenty of room for any size dog. There is also a cement building bathroom for humans directly outside the back of the dog park! Super awesome.

Perfect playground for dogs to play and socialize. The entrance is double-gated, so you enter/exit by opening then closing one gate at a time to prevent dogs from running out of fenced Park. Nothing fancy just a dirt area that is completely encircled with a chain link fence to keep all the dogs from running off too far. I believe the park is open 24/7 but not sure. There are chairs and benches for owners to sit and watch their dogs play. The park is big enough for even large to dogs to run at full speed. Lots if dog bowls around and a water faucet near restrooms to keep the jowls full of water.

I've been taking my dog here for years. It is a large dirt park that is completely fenced in. There are double gates for entrances on either side of the park. There is a drinking fountain, jug refill spigot, and bathrooms. The dog park has many metal bowls and jugs of water. There are benches and plastic chairs for sitting and some trees for shade.

The dog park is just one area, there is no separation of small and large dogs.

I've always gone when it's quiet and there are only a few dogs there. I've never had any issues with dogs, but again I go when it's quiet. Like all dog parks, it'll depend on the owners who are there as to whether they and their dogs are ready and safe for a dog park.

This dog park is only closed when it is actively raining. The people here are very friendly and it is a great off leash adventure! Bring your dogs here and let them cut loose with plenty of furry friends. There are even plenty of tennis balls kept here in case you forgot to bring a toy. This park serves a dual purpose by letting you meet here with friends to enjoy conversation while letting your pups blow off some steam.

Great Dog Park, friendly community. Easy to find. Water on site. Not dirty places to sit for owners.

Friendly dog park with tons of water bowls & water in jugs to refill. People were friendly & nice. It's pretty big so you can do a couple laps or you can sit at one of the several benches. Not overmuch shade so you might wanna bring a hat or umbrella. Definitely sunblock.

Very nice park! Large grass area. Playground is far from the busy street.

I go during the morning/mid morning and have had good experiences. They have lights and the evenings are a bit different but seem ok as well, a bit more geared towards large dogs in the evenings.

Love this place. Have a 15 year old Beagle and 5 month old mix. They both have ton of fun. The people are friendly and it is great to watch all pups play.

Great spot - nice trail nearby as well. Everyone seemed to have their dogs managed well. Def would take my dogs back.

There's a small patch of astroturf in the entrance, but the park is mostly flat and open dirt. There were lots of dogs and people, all of them friendly. Lots of frisbees and balls left around to use, and chairs/benches/tables. Shade is minimal but there are some trees. Poop bags and trash cans were available and the park seemed well picked up.

Really big and open. Good for dogs of all sizes. No leashes required! Some places to sit and a lot of water available for your dogs.

Nice big open space for dogs of all sizes to roam free. Trouble had a great time with all the different types of dogs.

When there are no clouds or anything the stars are amazing and the dog park love it they should add a cat park

My dog and I love this park. It's kept pretty clean. It has good lighting at night. It has restrooms and a water fountain.

Really good sized space for the dogs to run and play. There's always dogs there. So far it seems to be very large breeds, especially huskys etc. It has a double gate with is nice, water jugs and bowls by all the tables, plenty of trash cans and even milk crates with dog toys in them. It is all looses dirt except along the fence line. So we always have to wipe are dog down at least after. Really nice people that go there. Definitely recommend

Very spacious and lots of nice people. You can also catch a beautiful sunset through the trees.
