Oceanside Historical Society

Kristi was so kind and knowledgeable. My 1 1/2 yr old son and I had a good time looking at the pictures and we’ll be going through the informational handouts at home for additional entertainment.

So glad we stopped in to learn more about Oceanside. Kristi was very helpful and kind as we try to learn about the house our son purchased. 😊

i volunteered here for a few days for some extra credit in a college summer class i was taking, i had an absolutely wonderful time. the people i worked with are so nice and knowledgeable. i would definitely come in and see the historical pictures on the walls. unforgettable experience 💓

The Oceanside Historical Society is a fantastic organization. They have one of the largest historical photo collections in San Diego County. The historical society works to keep the history of Oceanside alive by hosting monthly "history walks" around downtown Oceanside which are free and open to the public. These walks highlight important historical buildings and events that happened in the buildings and around the area.

The Oceanside Historical Society also offers free programs to the community that cover a variety of topics, including the Oceanside Pier, movies filmed in Oceanside, the Oceanside Harbor and many more.

They are also a participant in the First Friday Art Walk, which is the first Friday of every month from 6-9 pm in downtown Oceanside. Patrons can walk into the building at 305 N. Nevada St. and see the photos and artifacts on display in the museum.
