Swami's Cafe Oceanside

This restaurant left a lasting impression, particularly with its spacious interior. We arrived nearly at the restaurant's opening, being the sole visitors, a delightful bonus. The service was excellent, with friendly waitstaff. The dishes we ordered were not only delicious but also presented with appetizing allure. The extensive coffee options surprised me pleasantly. I wholeheartedly recommend a visit to this restaurant for a satisfying dining experience.

The best food we had on our trip! The mimosas were sooo tasty and had flare. The pineapple upside down pancakes were our fav!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Swami's Cafe Oceanside, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed by both the food and the service, particularly by Steven. From the moment I walked in, Steven greeted me with a warm smile and made me feel right at home.

As for the food, it was simply exceptional. Each dish was bursting with flavor and freshness, showcasing the quality ingredients and skilled culinary expertise of the chefs. Whether it was the hearty breakfast burrito or the mouthwatering avocado toast, every bite was a delight to the senses.

What truly set Swami's Cafe apart, however, was the impeccable service provided by Steven. He was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was nothing short of perfect. His knowledge of the menu and recommendations were spot on, and he made sure that I had everything I needed throughout my meal.

Overall, I cannot recommend Swami's Cafe Oceanside highly enough. Whether you're craving a delicious breakfast, lunch, or dinner, you can count on Steven and the team at Swami's to deliver an unforgettable dining experience. I'll definitely be coming back for more!

The atmosphere was relaxed. You choose where you want to sit, look over the menu, place and pay for your order, they’ll bring your order to you.

Such a cool and easy spot in downtown Oceanside. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. It was brilliant to order your food first at the counter and then work your way to find the table for your food. I especially love the shrimp wrap with fruits i ordered. The pancakes and the berry syrup was also very special and refreshing. The ingredients are fresh, tasty, and well-blended. Each dish was delicious and was served promptly. The food also came with great characters and presentations. We sat outdoors to enjoy the weather but the indoor area is also a great choice with high-ceiling and eclectic decor. It is our favorite spot for an easy brunch on the weekends in Oceanside.

Amazing place for amazing food. The staff were so friendly and considerate of my allergies. This is the best place in Oceanside. I don't know the name of the man that helped me on 5/2/24, but he made sure to note my food allergies and was very helpful. 10/10 stars go and enjoy!!

My gosh. Fresh. Fast and personable. I had the breakfast croissant and was so fulfilled for the whole day. The atmosphere the staff very nice people. You’ve got to give them a try a stop and I promise you’ll have such a refreshing meal. Hands down the best. At a good price a very reasonable price and you’ll just love hanging out here. Guaranteed. Love this!!

We visited Swarmi with our daughter and son-in-law and we each had different meals, but equal enjoyment. I love that the coffee is self-serve while waiting and the ability to order first, then take a seat. The environment is well done with open rafters and a very warm feeling. It's a comfortable environment. There is a bar area, plenty of seating and an impressive menu.

To be honest the outside of the building was a little sketchy looking and could be updated. I'm glad I checked the reviews, because otherwise we would have missed this place because of its exterior appearance.

I had the lobster eggs Benedict, which was perfectly executed and packed with flavor (as I'm this, I wishing I they were close to home so that I could go back). The seasoned potatoes were really good, but I do wish they had been fried to be a bit crispier. I had a side of bacon, which was also a delicious and seemed to be good quality cut.

My family completely enjoyed their meals as well.

Bathrooms could have been a little cleaner but from a Vermonters perspective....... Top notch. Usually have to wait 10 mins for food.... Or drinks..... Which isn't bad. But under 3 mins for drink and food. BAM.... I think this will be my breakfast spot for this week! #mangomimosa!!! Off to the beach I go!

We attended the Thursday farmers market in Oceanside and were looking for a good kid friendly well priced place to eat and Smami's was definitely a great pick. After going to 3 other restaurants with no luck for the kids we came here. The menu selections were better for the kids than many restaurants in the area and the food tasted great. The food got to us fast and we had great service. They do serve some local brews and kombucha if your looking for a drink. The employees were friendly and answered our questions regarding local spots to go. You have the option to dine inside on warmer days but it is still open to that awesome Oceanside air or you can dine on the patio.

I definitely recommend Smami's Cafe if you are looking for quick and fresh food.

Wow this place has so many yummy things on the menu that I would love to try. We tried the Orange Raspberry Pancakes and their hash browns. The pancakes were so yummy and the hash browns really crunchy. Cant wait to go back and try more stuff on the menu.

Very good! The place is very spacious and the staff is nice and friendly. The food tasted very good and we had pretty quick service. The smoothies also taste great.

This one is a walk up and order location. You grab a menu and place your order. Coffee is self serve around the corner, while specialty drinks are made by the staff. Find a table, plenty indoor and outdoor, and they bring your food piping hot. Everything we ordered was excellent!!

My favorite brunch place hands down. Such great vibes here and the food choices for meat eaters and vegetarians alike are both so yummy.

Finally got to check this place out and it did not disappoint! Very spacious and great eats!! The hostess was very friendly and even offered to split an order (Nutella/coconut encrusted French toast w eggs/bacon) onto two plates for our younger kids. That was so nice! We all enjoyed the meal. I think the outdoor area is dog-friendly too. All around, highly recommend!

My grandson LOVED his pancakes and the rest of us REALLY enjoyed our brunch.

We had a large party of 12 and everyone from the 5 year old to his great grandmother were happy and satisfied with our meal and the open air lay out of the restaurant.

If you are looking for frills and waitstaff in suits who fawn over you every 3 minutes, you probably should head to Mr. A’s for that. … BUT, if you want some delicious and fresh food with a lovely casual atmosphere and friendly staff - this Swami’s is the location for you.

We ordered a variety of menu items, many of which we shared bites with each other- I can tell you that the lobster bennie was BOMB! So was the salmon salad, the Vegetarian Brooklyn Ruben deluxe and the shrimp tacos. Obviously my grandson loved his pancakes, the photo is him giving the restaurant a big high five!!!

We took over an hour to eat as we were also visiting with each other, as four generations of family do… and no one tried to hurry us up and out.

Also, the bathrooms were VERY clean and the aesthetic was pretty cool!

Visiting California on a recent excursion, I found myself with my teenage daughter, driving through Oceanside in search of a good meal. My kiddo is vegetarian, so I needed a place that would serve her dietary desires. The solution to our needs was Swami’s Café in downtown.

Swami’s has a good size interior with brick walls and lots of wood, for a comfy, inviting feeling. The garage door- style openings provide a non- assuming, non- pretentious, informal dining atmosphere. There is outdoor seating, too, and given that this is southern California, you might prefer to choose an outdoor seat where you can enjoy the fresh air and people- watch while you dine.

Swami’s is a breakfast/brunch/lunch type of establishment. They serve a wide assortment of breakfast options. Omelets are one of my favorite breakfast foods and Swami’s has a good assortment of omelets from which to choose. Outside of that, they have pancakes, waffles, French toast, breakfast burritos, and more. On the lunch menu, you will find soups, salads, sandwiches, burgers, and a menu section called Swami’s favorites, loaded with unique options such as spinach tofu, mole enchiladas, veggie quesadilla, and more. There is no dinner served here and they close at 3pm.

Swami’s serves juices and smoothies, so it’s a good choice for those who want healthier beverage alternatives. They have a handful of craft beers on tap, too, for people like me, which is always a plus. Seating includes high and low tables.

I like how the menu at Sami’s has a distinct number next to each food item on the blackboard, from which you place your order. This makes it easy to make sure there is no miscommunication- just tell them the number of the item you want. You order first, and then seat yourself wherever you like. They will bring the food to you when it’s ready.

Swami’s serves tasty American food and my vegetarian teenager and I were both more than satisfied with the quality of the meals, the service, and the atmosphere. It’s a great option for plant lovers and carnivores alike, as they serve something for everyone. We loved the experience and recommend it to anyone visiting Oceanside who wants a satisfying breakfast or lunch.

Nice counter-service restaurant serving early breakfast, lunch, dinner and smoothies. Food is good and served quickly. I liked my lobster Benedict and my wife enjoyed her waffle Benedict.
