Best kept secret in SD County. Worth the drive. Rockin' Ronnie was fantastic. Spent a good part of my day here waiting on my truck repair, and the atmosphere is great. Bathrooms clean. Staff is super nice and the owner even nicer. They all seem to love being here making one of the best sandwich I've ever had. Way to go team SB!

Places like this, definitely far and few between the gentleman behind the counter was an older gentleman by the name of Art and the six or seven people in front of me in the line. He was calling each of them by their first name so obviously you have a lot of regulars, which is a great sign, but what also amazed me was the efficiency of the staff. The menu options are pretty much endless with great selection. I got the “Yo Mama” special which is roast beef on a French Roll with lettuce, tomato, mayo and mustard and the bread was toasted perfectly being crispy at the first bite but yet soft and warm in the middle, and the meat was warm the cheese melted, the vegetable cold and crisp.

The sandwich shop is tucked in the middle of a shopping center and could be easily missed. The shop is looking worn down and is in need of an update of paint, but don't let that deter you. Their sandwiches are amazing! The bread is fresh and delicious. The sandwich is filled with lots of meat. The add on ingredients are just that...add ons. They don't overpower the sandwich leaving you searching for the meat. The veggies were also fresh. The portions are hearty and if you are a light eater, you could probably share a sandwich and it will be plenty to fill you up. They have many specialty sandwiches listed on the menu board or you can build your own sandwich. Everything we tried was flavorful and delicious. I highly recommend this sandwich shop.

Wow. Holy cow. I did not expect this sandwich to floor me with flavor, but it did. I got the Indian summer (I'm pescatarian and its their only special with tuna[I don't care for seafood salad]), I was skeptical of the flavor combinations but oh my.... that sandwich was awesome 🔥🔥🔥

Update; they are still AMAZING quality sandwiches. Can not express the gratitude I have for this place for the quality of food and service they provide. I am nuts about the Indian summer and my dad got the Cuban and is currently loving every bite. Thank you to the women and Art for your craftsmanship.

Blessed to work very close to this sandwich shop. My office gets lunch from here quite often because we love it so much! My favorite is the California Cowboy, and the chicken pesto panini is delicious. Plus, they have REALLY GOOD soups (the chicken poblano & loaded potato are great). Food is very consistent, and I have never been disappointed here. Super soft fresh bread and loaded sandwiches. Definitely go here.

I was craving a Club Sandwich so I searched via Google and Sandwich Bags came up with some really good reviews so I gave it a try. Fast and friendly service! My sandwich was excellent, it was so big I had it for breakfast and lunch. I will definitely go back!

Ok I love a good sandwich and I think I found a bit of sandwich heaven here! Was instantly greeted by the owner and his crew, impressive! Unfortunately I was in a rush and couldn't take my time to fully read the menu because the menu is full of cleverley creative sandwiches and I had a list from my friend who referred me here. If you like Turkey and cranberry then you have to try the #18, Turkey Blueberry....Amazing!!! and will definitely order again! #5 Indian Summer, albacore tuna twist...OMG! Thank you Arthur!

Best sandwiches I’ve ever had! I’m a sandwich fanatic and have tried them all but this place blows any other sandwich place out of the water! And the customer service is impeccable, love the owner such a nice man!

First time at Sandwich Bags. I don't know why I've never heard of this place before since I've lived in Santee all my life. Owner said they'd been there 17 years. Basically, I've been missing out and so have you.

Walked in and ordered the Ocho Cinco. It's a roast beef on toasted rye with chipotle sauce and pepper jack. A delicious, high quality deli, style sandwich. I think I'll just start going through their sandwich menu one at a time. Every sandwich looks good.

I frequent this sandwich shop often since it is close to my work. Get the #8, chicken pesto sandwich with grilled onions on panini bread. The chocolate chip cookies are baked daily, but be careful. Sometimes, they come out overcooked and too crunchy..

Absolutely amazing! We got the blueberry Turkey and the Indian summer. Both sandwiches were super delicious! We also got to talk to the owner who is so friendly and clearly very passionate about his shop. So refreshing to see someone that loves what they do and really puts their heart into it. Best sandwich shop in the area hands down!

This is by far the best sandwich place in Santee/Lakeside and I would say, all of San Diego. Excellent.

It's really a 4.9. I had the California Ruben and it was one of the best hot sandwiches I've ever had. I can still smell the smokey pork loin in my mustache. The owner is extremely friendly as well. I'll certainly be back.

This was my first time visiting this deli, and I have no regrets! I ordered a #20 and a #15. Both sandwiches were delicious and big enough to save half for later! The man taking the orders (might have been the owner) was patient and helpful as people ahead of me asked for his recommendations. A great experience, and I will be back to try more of the 20+ sandwichs they have to offer. My one recommendation is to order ahead! They are busy and it took about 20 mins to get my food.

These are truly amazing handcrafted sandwiches. I've tried about 80% of the sandwiches on the menu and I must say every single one of them are good and a handful of them are amazing! A little on the pricier side but 100% worth the money every penny of it. I much rather pay a little bit more for excellent quality and taste. I highly recommend this establishment for lunch or everyday occurrence. My only gripe would be to bring back the reward system. I bought so many sandwiches there it would be nice to get rewarded with a free one every once in awhile.

Love this place. Always fast and friendly and never a bad sandwich. Try the Earl, it's more than enough sandwich for the average sandwich enthusiast like myself.
