It was a pleasant experience. Rooms/bathroom were clean and comfortable to stay in. The breakfast/lunch/dinner was fantastic and enjoyed the time I spent here.

The extra activities here were also fun and enjoyable.

Great in every way. From a nice personalized card signed by staff, (congratulating us on our anniversary, with chocolates), to the easy check in, very nice room (clean, nicely appointed, quiet, cozy gas fireplace), great food, wonderful views, clean pool and very nice outdoor hot tub, convenient hiking trails and all the staff were really welcoming and friendly. Easy to get to for a nice relaxing break from Portland. Will definitely return often.

What an awesome lodge! Great food, happy staff. Great attention to detail. AND dog friendly 😀 was here on business for the Better Business Bureau. Highly recommend Skamania Lodge. Oh! And Tracey, the LMT. She was amazing! Tell her I sent you. 😉

Great food available any time for lunch and all afternoon and dinner. I bet they breakfast is very good too.

We stopped at the Skaminia lodge for a quick (late) bite as we passed through the gorge on I-5. We were seated in the pub, not the dining room, but the view and comfort was just as good. We had a beat salad and a burger. Both were delicious. But what we truly enjoyed was the broad view across the grounds as it stretched into the gorge. It is just such a beautiful spot with a spectacular view in any weather.

We stayed at the Skaminia lodge many years ago with our 4 kids. They loved playing in the pools (inside and outside) and the meadows adjacent to the main lobby. My wife and I enjoyed the fireplace and the food. It was a wonderful base from which to travel to various hikes and other points of interest in the Columbia Gorge.

WOW what a terrific place!
This was our second time staying there and we were even more impressed than the first time (which was wonderful).
We decided to go last minute and were lucky enough to get a terrific room with a gorgeous view of the river for December 30.
Despite it being a very popular weekend for them, every employee we encountered was so professional and behaved with tremendous patience and grace.
I really have to hand it to them!
The front desk manager Deborah is really amazing, as are all of the lovely people who work with her, like Bernadette and Paula.
The rooms are very clean and updated nicely.
We even had a fireplace that added to the ambience of the room :)
On the first floor they have a large, gorgeous room with a wall of windows looking out at the spectacular Columbia River Gorge, and plenty of different kinds of seating to accommodate all who would like to just sit and watch the mesmerizing view, or perhaps play a game at one of the many comfortable wood tables provided.
We could tell that it was a great place for couples, families, kids and even quite dog friendly. Something for everyone!
There was a spa, beautiful indoor pool and indoor and outdoor Jacuzzis.
We didn’t get a chance to go zip-lining but it’s on the list for next time, as is their mini golf.
We enjoyed both dinner and breakfast in their Cascade dining room, which was gorgeous, had spectacular views of the river, very good food and outstanding service!
Again, all this on what must have been one of their busiest weekends of the year.
Well done Deborah! and all of the hard-working, dedicated employees we were fortunate enough to encounter.
We will definitely be seeing you again soon!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I live just a few miles away from the lodge and went to dinner last night with some friends. The wait staff was amazing. The atmosphere is beautiful. My only problem is the food could be better. I had a lodge burger with fries. Everything was great except the burger pattie was frozen and tasteless. Now for 18 dollars for the meal. It’s so much cheaper and better to make homemade burgers. Please make those corrections. Thank you for a great evening.

Just the most gorgeous lodge nestled in the trees on the border of OR and WA. It was such a cozy place with great service and amenities. Coffee in the lobby each morning enjoying stunning views of the river, sunset in the evening, great indoor and outdoor hot tubs, as well as hot tubs and saunas in the locker rooms of the spa (all available to guests). S’mores by the large firepit, a cute gift shop, board games provided while you hang out in the lobby. Rooms were cozy and had everything we needed. The food at River Rock was great (though a bit pricey). Skamania Lodge is such a delightful place and we will certainly be back!
Our only complaint was that the walls were thin between rooms. We could hear neighbors in rooms beside and above us, almost to the point we wanted to make a noise complaint at 11:30pm because our upstairs neighbors sounded like they were moving furniture and stomping one night, LOL. Otherwise, this place is amazing and we will be back!

Wow this place is nice. The rooms are really comfortable and the atmosphere is really relaxing. It's tucked in the trees overlooking the Columbia River and sort of embodies the Pacific Northwest vibe. Lots of adventure in just about any direction nearby, huge fireplace, and if you're lucky some kind of special event. Check out the Holliday buffet, you can't go wrong.

You can do check-in anytime after 4 pm until midnight without notifying, which for us was very good. Really nice people working there, the parking is very close by, but you still should unload in front of the lobby. No need to bring towels they have plenty. Also, you get a nice robe. Free wifi. Spa on the weekend until 10 pm. The outdoor hottub is the best part.

The rooms are pretty basic, nothing special or spectacular. You can hear every noise from rooms nearby, including your neighbors flushing the toilet or running the shower.

But the hotel is beautiful, the staff is nice, and the bar is so cozy and has great drinks.

Short drive from PDX, staff was amazing, especially Mary Sue and Shannon. Great food, sights, spa, plenty to do, or just relax. Our first time there, definitely not our last.

Shamania lodge is a great place to get away and relax. Perfect place for kids teens, young adults and elderly. They have a very nice warm indoor pool, huge outdoor natural hot tub and many walking trials.
The rooms are clean and comfortable.
They do host business meetings.
Restaurant is unique. The meals are well prepared chef style meals but with a fully open kitchen. Staff is great and kind. They love children.
While the food is 5 Stat, the prices are pretty high. Maybe compared to a Mortons, or Landrys.

Here are some images of our meal.

We came here over Thanksgiving and it was a great staycation! If you’re in Portland and you need a little get-away, it’s only about 40 min away! The outdoor hot tub was my favorite and wasn’t crowded (at least when we were there). The spa looks nice but I didn’t go because it was very pricey. We also walked on the trails around the resort and it was lovely. All around very relaxing.

A beautiful, relatively remote, hotel with wonderful views and lots to do and see. We spent the weekend for a wedding and had a blast. Plenty to fill the time outside of your event: our friends enjoyed the spa, there is an excellent disc golf course (and regular golf too), and it is a 5 minute drive to some lovely riverside views/attractions. We had a disappointing experience with the breakfast buffet so maybe skip that, but this was some of the best wedding food I've ever experienced, hands-down, so the kitchen staff know what they are doing!

Holidays at Skamania Lodge is Heavenly! The MOST AMAZING VIEWS!!!!

The Chefs here have a great Menu. They have an Expo Kitchen there on the dining room floor where you can watch them in action.

They even do Winemaker and Distillery Taster Dinners. This is a beautiful backdrop for these events.

The Day Spa - is heavenly - Sauna, Hot Tub - even a Hot Tub in a Rock Setting that is outdoors in the snowy background Winter time

Summer time - Golf! Frisbee Golf! Zip Lines and Hiking.

I was so impressed!

A great lodge with all the amenities and the best staff money can buy. Bring your green hat, some disc's, clubs and a smile.

What a jewel with one of the best views in the state. I was here back in 2017 and didn’t like the food. Now back in 2023: they have a new menu with FRESHLY made food that’s delicious. The cleanliness of the facilities and the courteously of staff is also wonderful. I’m really impressed and so glad we gave it another try. If you were here long ago, give it another shot. The food got me the most! Cleanest towels I’ve used in any US hotel.

Great place to escape the common hotel. Rooms are comfortable and up to date. There is plenty of parking but it’s a little walk to the lodge. Lots to do; hiking, golf, mini-golf, etc. See their website for current events and options. The is a great area behind the office to sit and relax all day long. The pool, hot tubs, and sauna were clean and well maintained. We didn’t eat here because of the reviews. The staff has been very nice and accommodating. It’s a great place to relax and unwind.
