This is a great park for walking or hiking. It is more of a nature trail park than a play on the lawn/grass or playground park. In fact, I don't think there is any of those things. The trails are mostly dirt, if I recall. There are hiking areas on both sides of the road. This could be a very short and leisurely tennis shoes hike or you could take an hour or two and your best boots. You are never that far from the parking area, but I remember it as having a lot of trail to cover. And in a place or two that trail is possibly too steep for safe hiking ... or to get back up if you get down. But that is probably more applicable to winter months.
Great area, has parking, and it is close to civilization, but you could forget you are in the city while hiking it.

My wife and I really enjoyed this short walk through South County park. We were very pleasantly surprised to find a huge quantity and variety of mushrooms. The trail also has markers naming a few of the shrubs and trees I think we were lucky to see all the fungus and I suspect many of them will soon be gone. We walked this trail on October 8 for your reference.

Okay - loved these trails! Decently groomed, if only by the neighborhood people & their doggies. Very limited parking and looks like window glass on the ground - so don't bring any valuables. There are steep & hilly trails as well as mostly flat. Be sure to cross the street and check out the ravine.

Great place for walking trail course which has up and downhill. It's has a little valley and creek water so refreshing sounds going on. Up to 4 to 7 miles walk distance which is good for walk.

At first glance the park looks small so you need to explore especially below Olympic View Drive which is across the street. There is a wonderful trail my dogs love that dips down towards the Sound which from time to time you can see during winter. On several visits I have seen a large Owl. Then if you have the energy cross back over the road and follow the inside and outside loop trail for a good walk.

Nice variety of vegetation and trees on the trails, especially on the non-creek side of the street.

Magical! The trees here hold such a beautiful, wise energy that we’ve found to be so restorative to experience. 😌
The terrain is comfortable and alternately varied enough to give a good workout for anyone taking it at a brisk pace.

Explore wild nature trails through the largest park in Snohomish County. Great for walking your pups. Located within the Edmonds city limits, yet it has the feel of a Pacific Northwest rainforest especially due to its proximity to the deep blue waters of the Puget sound. You might even catch a glimpse of the majestic bald eagles that perch atop the towering evergreen beauties that surround you.

Gorgeous little trail to walk down, you can almost forget you're in the middle of a town surrounded by cars

Tempted not to review this hidden gem, to try and keep the foot traffic down, but it would be selfish of me not to spread the word. It is easily one of the best parks on the north end, and I've been to just about every one of them. Tap into your curiosity and stray from the main footpaths, you never know what you might find around the next bend. Mystery awaits you in your very own backyard!

The Southwest County Park is a real gem in an unexpected place. The trails are great if you want to get away from the suburban atmosphere. If you take the steep trails down to the stream and explore it is surprising how big the park really is. Most people never see most of it. Great place to walk or mountain bike. Dog friendly as well.

Wonderful trail loop in the middle of a town, feels like you are out in the forest without being far from home. Outer loop is 0.7 miles. No doggy poop bags or trash cans available. Must leash dogs, bring doggy poop bags and carry them out with you. No restrooms but it is close to quaint shops and cafes.

Wooded trails on Olympic View drive. Great to walk around with pups. Fair amount of maple trees so especially beautiful in Autumn.

Nice contained area for a quick walk, and pet friendly. No trash cans around though, so nowhere to dispose of the bag.
