Teresa is amazing to work with. I've had two stubborn spots of significant chronic pain on my back that have been deeply bothering me for months. Teresa actually relieved the pain and my back feels better, which is crazy because nothing else has worked. She tailored my prenatal massage to what I needed and was very easy to follow up with. When it was tricky finding an open time slot/appointment, she reached out to me when she had a cancellation. She's a true professional and is excellent at her work.

Teresa is highly experienced in women's health, especially prenatal and postnatal care. I came monthly aching in pain during my 2nd and 3rd trimester and each time the massage session was complete, I felt like I was walking on clouds.

Her massage table is not a hole with a belly cut out - those are dangerous. For prenatal, you lay on one side and she tucks you in with pillows and wedges that made me feel comfortable. For postnatal, the massage bonding helped me recover faster from all the swelling and assisted in moving my organs back to place. Expensive, but worth it when you want to take care of your body pre and postnatal.

Tips:
- Book appointments in advance (esp. at 32 weeks when hips start to widen in preparation for labor).
- Check if your flexible spending account (FSA) allows for massage therapy (mine did not need a letter for medical necessity and FSA card covered all my appointments with pre-tax dollars).

I visited Mayahuel Massage yesterday for a postnatal massage. Teresa is amazing! My little one is just over 2 months old and I've since returned back to work. From the pregnancy, to childbirth and now sitting at a desk all day, my body needed some help (particularly my hips). Teresa was able to address my many problem areas and even did the Arvigo Technique (Abdominal Therapy). Teresa is friendly and very professional. She made me feel welcome from the moment she greeted me. I left there feeling very relaxed and ready to hold my little one as soon as I got home. Thank you!

I have been seeing Teresa for over 5 years now. She is the BEST massage therapist I have ever experienced. She is personable, kind, funny and attentive. Mayahuel Massage!!! The best! What a little gem of a place in an unsuspecting area of San Bruno! I was welcomed into Teresa's space with tea and relaxing music, and felt at ease with her right away. She then made sure to address my concerns and issues with my back and neck and how she could provide me with the best relief in our 60 minutes together.
The massage was amazing! She got to all the areas we discussed, completely relaxing my target areas; and she even showed me some stretches to do at home to help me after my massage. I also added on a Mojito Body Scrub which was the best add on! Her Mojito Body Scrub smelled amazing! It was fresh and invigorating and made my skin so baby soft! I really can't wait to go back!

Teresa is wonderful! I saw her regularly during pregnancy, and have happily continued since my baby girl arrived. Skilled and compassionate--highly recommended!
