Amazing selection of grocery items. Fresh veggies, meats, and seafood. Impressive selection of red wine, white wine, beer, and spirits. Hot foods and bakery products are also outstanding. Small parking lot on street level, but there’s a large underground parking lot as well.

Good looking supermarket. Inventory was well organised. Vast variety of fresh, frozen & canned products. Flowers kitchen ware, etc. All that you need day to day.

Besides an amazing array of fresh flowers (some I've never, ever seen in my life) they have every yummy thing you could ever imagine. An outstanding choice of artisanal cheeses and salamis - as well as - ice cream from small Mom & Pop shops in the bay area. It's not cheap but it is worth it. Looking for a Welsh Cheddar with Scallions in it? They've got it. Want a spicy soprasatta that will knock your socks off? They've got it. Specialty Apricot jam from Italy? They've got that, too!! Go, you're gonna love it!

Clean, well stocked, great stock of foods. Why can’t all grocery stores be like this.

They have the best golden pineapples. Prices for these gems are a bit high, but at the end of the day, they are absolutely magnificent and deeeeelicious. The tall produce man was very helpful by bringing out a box of golden pineapples from the backroom allowing me to choose based on my preferences. Store is sharp. Shelves neat, well stocked with all shelf tags current and up to date. Finally, the store's floors were polished and shiny. My visit was pleasant, seamless and without any fumbling around. Just the way I like it.

They have a great bakery

One of the nicest full-service grocery stores in California. Below ground parking is extremely convenient.

This is one of my go-to grocery stores. It's on the bougie side, but the selection and produce are some of the best in the Bay area. The upper level has a lot of nice kitchen items and has an area where the classes are held. You always see the same faces, so if you come often you can really get to know the Draeger fam.

Great wine selection. Great customer service and very knowledgeable with wine, beer and spirits.

This is a high-end grocery store. Imagine an even more expensive version of Whole Foods. Quality of everything is extremely high, as are the prices.

The moment you enter, you know you’ll be paying higher prices. There’s a gourmet chocolates and confections station right by the door, with beautifully arranged desserts.

You’ll pay higher prices for the same goods in any other local super market, but can find some brands that you won’t find in most other stores, like Sir Kensington’s Ketchup. They also have sushi, soups, and pasta made fresh. There are seating areas for dining, immaculately clean floors, and underground parking.

It also has a second floor with lots of home goods like fancy dinnerware, fancy cards, candles, etc. Do not bring children to the second floor. There are fragile expensive things there, and you do not want any expensive accidents.

All in all, not a place for your average customer. For tech workers or high income earners, the price differences might not matter if you want to enjoy a quality shopping experience.

Catering to their specific audience though, they do an excellent job of maintaining the facilities and providing quality products.

Just don’t expect to save any money shopping here.

The best market bar none. They treat their workers well and it's a family run place. Their bakery is superb, their wines are excellent, really everything is top notch . You will pay for quality here though;. Be prepared to pay a lot for what they offer. Update: it's not changed at all- still the best. Another update prodded by Google?.... Okay... No change.. Still the best there is.

On my list of places that I miss, Draeger’s is at the top! This is truly a gem! 💎

I’ll start with our favorite part, the bakery! From simply stunning.cookies to outstanding cakes, this bakery is marvelous! 🍪🎂Then they have delicious pies and scrumptious breakfast pastries! 🥧🥐 You cannot go wrong, at this bakery. Whether you want a quick treat or a dazzling dessert to impress, this is a sure hit!

Then, the wine and liquor section. They have wine guides that will help you pick out that special bottle for a gift or to accompany your dinner. Their selections of wines, span many regions and varieties. They have many specialty liquors. You can find spectacular champagne, as well. They run incredible sales, too! 🍷🍾🥂

Their deli is mind-blowing! The soups are too good for words! The deli has many, many choices of ready- to-eat foods! They have sushi, potato salad, chicken, sandwiches, salads, and so much more! 🍗🥗🥪🍤🍡🍱🥟

The meats and cheese departments are filled with so many choices!

They carry many specialty items, throughout the store. While the specialty items, can be expensive, the prices on staples like condiments, bake mixes, etc (normal grocery items) are very reasonable.

They carry so many different chocolates! 🍫

What I miss most, is receiving the best customer service! Not only are they so friendly, the are very helpful! They take special orders.

Draeger’s isn’t your regular grocery store. It’s what you wish your grocery store was! ♥

I love this place because they have a lot of imported products. It's definitely on the higher end level, and everything here is pricier than let's say safeway.

The food is delicious, and the meat & seafood are fresh! They have a little bakery sections with a lot of delicious looking pastries and chocolate. They have a few seats inside and out for a quick eat.

The upper level is nice and they have a good wine selection. I particularly like the flower section right at the entrance. You're immediately greeted by beautiful flower smell and vibrant colors.

San Mateo seems blessed with a number of excellent supermarkets. Draeger's certainly is in the top ranks of these. There were a number of touches that help this upscale market stand out. There is a dessert bar with Recchiuti chocolates sold by the piece (!). The flower selection is definitely a cut above. Fresh and some unique choices. The meat and fish selection is excellent, although the fish prices are definitely higher than most alternative markets. There is also an excellent selection of cheeses and a deli with a much larger selection than almost any other market. The produce selection was not quite up to the standard of the rest of the store. And prices in general match the overall upscale vibe of the store.

This location is so beautiful. Tremendous bakery and deli with high quality goods. The staff is so friendly with the exception of the 2 women upstairs who were too busy talking to help. Will definitely return again and again.

Draeger’s makes the best cakes and pies in the San Francisco/Peninsula area! So fresh! Made locally everyday!

I used to live in Foster City and Draegers Market was my go to! I LOVE this place, it’s so much more than a grocery store and has so many amazing things! Organic, local, delicious! The butcher was super nice when I was just walking by, and offered me samples of smoked salmon which was to die for. I couldn’t help but by some for my breakfast the next day.

I always do a stroll upstairs to see what goods they have in their kitchen collection. Mostly pricey but unique and good quality, I would only purchase for a very special occasion. I mostly love looking. They also have cooking classes upstairs and workshops. They’re doing it right.

Norma at the flower shop was great! We picked out an orchid for a friend, as their family member had passed. On our way to the checkout Norma let us know she would wrap it with tissue and put it in a holder, and she also sprayed the leaves with some kind of wax to make it all shiny. Love the service here!

...fresh vegetables & fruits, quality meats, fish and poultry. Gourmet foods. Great gift shop. Good selections of greeting cards, party goods and products for wrapping gifts. Under ground parking for when it's raining and we are having bad weather.
