Tomokazu Japanese Cuisine

This restaurant has a nice homey atmosphere. They have tatami style seating which was really cute (but we didn’t get to sit there). The service is really slow but it was also really busy. The waiters were all really nice.

The sashimi quality was really good, particularly their tuna cuts. They also had a lot of offerings that were sets, which I think seemed really worth it.
There is a wide variety on the menu, but I highly recommend getting the Chirashi and any of their sashimi, particularly the tuna.

I will definitely be back to try their other dishes, maybe something non sushi next time :)

Really loved the fresh steamed butter crab. The owner used the remaining uneaten pieces and juices to make your choice of udon noodle soup or rice porridge, we chose the rice porridge. They also have fresh lobster sashimi. They make their own ice cream. If you've never tried jasmine ice cream before and you appreciate subtle fragrant flavors, I recommend trying the jasmine ice cream.

Very good menu with a nice variety of choices and the quality of the food is great. Nice presentation of sushi and bento box meal. Slightly on the higher priced side, but it is worth it.

Very impressed with the sanitary and safety measures, staff wearing masks and gloves, sanitizer available, and outdoor tables very clean.

Great fish selection, wonderful cuts, extensive menu and awesome service. Love the family restaurant vibe. Can hardly believe this place has been a community staple for over 20 years. Looking forward to coming again.

Must get Dungeness crab. And ask to have the congee option. Yum- it takes all the leftover juices and flavors and turns it into an amazing porridge

Excellent quality of sashimi & crab congee. I highly recommend the jasmine ice cream for dessert! We spent nearly $100 per person

The sushi is fresh and tantalizing.
Three sushi chefs work non-stop ever since I sit down.
Inside is big with sushi bar and teppan seatings.
They have 2 more places at SFO Airport.
You'll find out. And do enjoy!

I will visit here a 2nd time before I go back to Texas, and post photos. But after having some terrible sushi in San Francisco (the name of the restaurant is Sugoi, avoid it at all costs!) I thought it was only fair to post a review about the first sushi restaurant my friend took me during my visit here. This place has the freshest fish I’ve ever had. The hamachi is hamachi belly. Excellent.

Gluten free soy sauce! Good food and good prices for the area. I went to another place, two blocks from here, and the prices are way more expensive than here. Warm, cozy and traditional Japanese food.

The best Japanese restaurant in my area for many years. Always fresh and delicious. Everything I've tried is excellent and hits the spot. Staff is very welcoming. We are always happy to see them as well. Don't forget to take some home for later too. Thank you Tomokazu!

Have several years visiting Tomokazu at the San Francisco airport I finally tried their Burlingame restaurant. Row fish is delicious and super fresh, service is very good and personnel extremely caring. I live this place

Quality Nigiri set! Hamachi was off the charts. Great prices relative to the Bay Area.

Party of 6, delicious food, attentive service. Some of our dishes: chicken udon, beef sukiyaki, beef teriyaki, nigiri sushi, shrimp tempura, edamame. All of it was delicious and fresh.

Very fresh food, staff is very friendly and nice. Price is reasonable now in these days, this is my fourth time I visit this restaurant, love the environment very traditional. Definitely will visit again.

Took a friend here for a late dinner and had one of the best nights out in a while. Great food and the sweetest staff. Warm greetings and great recommendations when we couldn’t decide what to order. Will definitely be back.

I have been enjoying going to this place for past years.... their grilled squid and sushi pizza are MUST TRY!

My family and I stopped in here for some sushi and were not disappointed. The rolls were very tasty and the decor felt just about right. You can't go wrong with the spider roll. This is not the cheapest place so if you are on a budget you might try elsewhere.
