Prime Time Athletic Club

Prime Time Athletic Club is a gem for anyone who loves to blend fitness with a touch of indulgence. Swimming in their outdoor heated pool is an absolute joy, especially with the unique bonus of it being located next to the See's Candy Factory, enveloping you in the delightful aroma of hot chocolate as you do your laps. It turns exercise from a chore into a treat! The club doesn't stop at just a fantastic swimming pool; it also offers a hot tub with relaxing jets, a steam room, and a sauna to unwind after a vigorous workout. The fully stocked showers, complete with body gel, shampoo, and conditioner, add a luxurious touch that makes getting ready after a session hassle-free and comfortable.

The only drawback I've encountered is the class schedule, which unfortunately doesn't align well with my work commitments. Despite this, the quality of the facilities and the sheer pleasure of swimming in such a delightful setting make Prime Time Athletic Club a place I would highly recommend to anyone looking to enjoy their fitness routine in a unique and enjoyable environment.

It's a great athletic club! The staff is very courteous and friendly. The equipment is second to none. It pretty much has everything you would ever need at a health club!

Prime Time is a fantastic gym. It has the only racquetball courts on the peninsula. I'll bet you $10 you can't sneak in or out past the front desk without being welcomed or wished a good day.

Despite being quite busy, I have never wanted for a place to park or had to wait long for a piece of equipment, court, or shower.

The cleaning staff is amazing. They are omnipresent and the place is pretty spotless.

Some machines are showing their age, but most everything feels new which makes me think they have a good rotation of replacing and servicing equipment.

Oh...and heated pool. Not too warm like bath water...or the jacuzzi they have. Warm enough so you're not freezing in the pool on a cold day.

It's worth mentioning that every other patron I've encountered has been nothing less than polite and there are plenty of friendly faces who might say hi. I've also never seen anyone fail to wipe down the equipment after they have used it or leave the locker room in a mess.

I'm very happy to be a member of a gym where both the staff and the members take care of and take pride in the place.

Definitely pricey, but completely worth it.

I have been a member on and off for 30 years. This is the best family club around with something for everybody. The addition of the cafe was huge and so useful! We love spending summers at the pool. The kids can spend all day in the water! The huge price increase during the pandemic has made it a little pricey for those of us with larger families, but with there being limited options, we make it work and try to enjoy all of the clubs amenities.

I enjoy this gym. It offers a variety of classes and 2 pools. There are relaxing saunas and hot tub. It is well kept and clean. Able to get a coffee and more since there is a Starbucks inside the facility.

I'm glad that my wife talked into coming to check it out. The staff here, everyone is so nice and professional. They greeted me and my wife the minute we entered the building. One of the staff gave us a tour. The gym equipment is so clean. The outdoor swimming pools' water is very clear at a warm temperature of 80 degrees. After the tour, we decided to join. Now, we are officially Prime Time Athletic Club members. Recommended!

I've been a member for a few months now and while I'm not going as often as I'd like, I've been so, so happy with the offerings.
This place has got it all with lots of space, and it's less expensive than the equinox in downtown San Mateo.
For me, the biggest benefits are arguably in what would be considered "value adds." Because they have a hot tub, sauna, and steam room, I am able to both wind up and relax, which means I'm incentivized to go for any reason. Feeling cold? Go sit in the steam room! Wanna work out but don't wanna do traditional cardio? Check out a racquet and go play racquetball or go swimming.

All in all, I've been enjoying myself, and at a price point that's expensive enough it makes me feel guilty if I don't go, but not so expensive I had to opt out entirely. Very happy here :-)

Great classes great staff and lots of well maintained, clean and not too crowded locker rooms and equipment. Big plus for the sauna and steam rooms

Excellent setting to control weight. No longer mask required making it much easier to breath in the club. Very friendly staff and cleaned environment. However, a few shower stalls can be upgraded. In all, a good place to swim.

Very friendly staff. This club has very nice equipment and a pool. It has several racquet ball courts and a squash court.

Prime Time encompasses a complete array of fitness and wellness options in a vast, clean and well-maintained facility. It’s always a high-cardio, quality experience during every workout I’ve had there. The swimming area is a lovely setting and they have barbecues during the weekend. Plus, it’s the only gym you’ll ever find with a Starbucks on the premises. This entire facility is at the top of their game.

I love this gym because it doesn't feel like a warehouse. It feels like a nice club with many rooms and different environments. Doesn't feel mucho or competitive. Very opposite of 24 fitness.

Although it's a bit expensive for a single person, for couples it's just about the same fee as other gyms.

A huge gym, lots of space to practice social distancing. Pool is nice and the hot tub is awesome. They also have a lot of cardio machines and there's always one free.

I like the selection of group classes. Even during busier times with more members there - no waiting for the Cardio machines. When I joined this past Sept I was told there are no sign ups for the Cardio machines and no time limit. That's been true. Got three COMP training sessions with my new membership. All the staff are great. No issues or complaints with other gym members. It doesn't feel like a meat market. Best gym I ever joined!

Prime Time Athletic Club is my gym. The folks there are great! The facilities have plenty of machines (with the exception of a Smith Machine. They only have one and could use more). They've recently updated their look and it looks great. They even included a phone charging station, how awesome is that!

This place is INSANE! All the equipment is super nice and the atmosphere is perfect for getting a really good pump going. Definitely one of the top gyms in the area!

This club has everything! Looks great! Prices are very affordable. I didn't expect that. The staff is very welcoming and professional. Jerry greeted me perfectly.

Lil was very helpful over the phone. She made sure we were serviced and accommodated properly based on our expectations. Very nice facility. We were just visiting for the weekend and we're even welcomed by the members. Great equipment and a variety of other amenities.

Great gym! There are a lot of options, including Karate and Jiu Jitsu.

Love the atmosphere & Starbucks. People are friendly. Family oriented. Pool, sauna, steam room & pool was great! Racquetball, Basketball, Tennis, Gym, Weight Training, Yoga, Exercise Classes & More!
