This is a very cool store with fantastic staff were extremely helpful and not pushy at all. They sell lots of really unique items that apparently don’t have a storefront. It’s definitely a great place to buy gifts for friends and family as well! Lots of great things that will please all types of people.

Place where startups meets retail. Friendly team, ready to explain how it works. A lot of gadgets, smart home appliances and electronics which you can not find in other retail chains. Cool innovative store in cool innovative Palo Alto. Thanks.

It is a really nifty store with lots of gadgets and an appely-cleaness to everything, including the purchase from a tablet. Don't expect to save money, but a really nice opportunity to play around with the gadgets before deciding to buy ;-)

Startup gadget heaven!

Loved testing and playing with dozens of innovative consumer products.

Featured a few items I've seen on Kickstarter, appreciated the chance to see it in person and ask the knowledgable staff for details.

It's a little hidden store with so much awesome inside! You can experiment with and try all sorts of awesome new products from start ups. It's one of the most silicon valley stores in that there is so much creativity and originality in most of the things there. Just tell the workers to let younger people ride the boosted board!

Cool shop, quite a few gadgets that are state of the art. Amazing the shop can actually live of just 30 products and still has 3 staff there - who actually DO know their stuff. Fun place shopping, just be ready to for the price tag that comes with the skills and products.

I love going to this store to play with all the new gadgets and cutting edge technology. The employees are all very knowledgeable about all the products and how they work. I have purchased some of the IoT products at the store and ordered online directly with the product. I recommend subscribing to their newsletter to see when events are happening too.

What an amazing space to enjoy a great cross section of cutting edge hardware makers are bringing to market.
The team in store know more than you could ever ask about each piece on display, you can touch, play and learn about everything in store - no glass boxes or "please don't touch" signs.
This is worth the trip down from San Francisco if you love technology, start-ups, cool toys or just want to find something that nobody else has (yet).

Amazing shop, easily spent an hour in here! Such a cool concept allowing product manufacturers to receive statistics on customer engagement.

Will definately pop back in when I am next in the SF area.

Keep these shops going, I look forward to the opening of your new store.

I would have made a lot of purchases if only the light bulb products were more interchangeable and compatible with UK lightbulbs.

Walked by and entered to peek around.

This seems like a store that collects different innovative products from indiegogo, Kickstarter, and other startups. It's very nice to be able to see some of these products in person and be able to play with some of these! It's usually hard to because smaller startups usually do not have the money to display their products in a store.

I'm somewhat surprised most of the products were still functional when I playtested, since usually displays get malfunctioned. Maybe they weren't on display long enough.

One of my biggest complaint is the lack of easily accessible specs. A specs tab to show that would be nice! A "things to try" list would be helpful as well. Since some of the products, I kind of looked at it and not sure what to do with them.

Very cool concept store. Lots of cool electronic devices, toys, internet-of-things products on display. Loved trying them out, playing with robot toys, learning about new things. Need more of these stores in other towns!

Very good concept to showroom new and emerging consumer technologies. Very reproducible with no barrier to entry but could have sone growth as a franchise until copycats or pushed out of business by internet outlets or Best Buy.

A store with a very new concept. They rent retail space to startups/companies to showcase their smart devices. The products change frequently and it's always interesting to see what's new on the market.

Unique shopping experience. B8ta showcases all the new gadgets that startups have created and consumers have the chance to check out the product physically instead of browsing it on the web browser.

Beta isn't your normal Best Buy or Fry's. It's geared towards people who want to try interesting new products that your normal electronics store may carry in a few years. That being said there is still something for everyone and not just the nerdiest of nerds.

Currently it's showroom is a lot of IoT devices. These range from brands you may have heard of such as Nest or Tile to newer brands that are making a name for itself in the connected home market such as August.

I was sad to see there weren't any Lifx bulbs though ;)

B8ta is a fun unique store. Fitting for silicon valley, the store offers a hands on chance to try new products from a variety of start ups. Balancing skate boards, selfie drones, vr headsets, and a camera with ten plus lenses that allows you to focus after the fact.

Super interesting place! They carry a lot of unreleased prototypes from Kickstarter projects to check out. Everything from Home Automation, IoT devices, drones, headsets, etc. Cool people!
