Mumu Hot Pot

My first time having hot pot at this vegetarian friendly spot in Foster City! The vibes were great with many different options for soup base, an assortment of ingredients to customize a sauce, and many vegetables and types of ingredients to add on top of the broth. Overall, a very cool and unique experience. The rice cakes and squash especially came out really well!!

Four of us ate here for lunch and it was delicious. Order your meats go get your sauce and enjoy. Service was quick and prompt, the waiters answered any questions that we had, and the meat was of high quality. Will go back. Be sure to add the noodles to the broth in the end to make noodle soup! Add some garlic, soy sauce, etc to flavor the broth as well.

Meat lovers for 2 was definitely filling for us. Combined with the meat, the veggies and carbs totally put us over and we were stuffed by the end of it. Quality of meat was great, veggies were all fresh and delicious. The ingredients used here is definitely top notch. How do you tell? By not having any sauce at all when you eat the food. It still tastes delicious. Compare this to some other places, where if you don't use any sauce, you may think: it is some kind of meat, I think, or it is some kind of vegetable, I think, but has no taste. This place, it is like: beef has beef taste, and every type of vegetable has their own taste. Also, eating here, you get a good portion of vegetable per meal.

Loved the experience here. Everything was fresh and tasty. We took the Tom yum soup and Sichuan spicy soup. Both were good.

Wait time isn't long. We got the table in 10 mins on a Friday night.

Had a wonderful first time experience here. Food was pretty good. American wagyu was better than the lamb shoulder. Veggies are good portion and variety for each person. Combo bad plenty of choices and $58 for 2. Tables are separated via a plastic partition and employees are wearing masks. Plenty of outdoor seating covered with large umbrellas. Definitely coming back!

Also, eating here, you get a good portion of vegetable per meal, unlike some other US places, where they give you one or two tiny pieces of broccoli, and call it the vegetable you should have with your meal. Note that recently, they seem to put less effort into washing the vegetable (as compared to half a year or one year ago), so this is one thing I hope they can improve on.

Loved being able to eat hot pot outdoors. The meat was so good and the variety of items in the combo was nice. Being able to have my own individual pot is cool because my wife and I can have our own choice of broth. Definitely recommend.

Mushroom broth was yummy and filled with umami but I preferred the sukiyaki more with that sweetness

Don't know if my appetite and tastebuds have changed, but, I don't really like AYCE hot pot anymore! NO, Im not knocking it, it's just not for me anymore? Can't get my money's worth like I used to!

Mumu (Foster City) is my new favorite hot pot spot! I could probably eat here once a week, every week! I usually go for one of the two "Meat Lovers" menus. One is regular for $58 for party of 2 and the other is "premium" w/ better quality of meat, for $98. The premium includes melt in your mouth wagyu!😋

There are 7 flavorful soup bases you can choose from including mushroom and spicy Tom Yum. They also have a nice sauce bar where you can make your own signature sauces for dipping.

Love how bright and clean and sterile the restaurant is and the great level of service. Never been to the other locations in Sunnyvale or Pleasanton. Lots of parking lot parking.

It outside today and enjoyed this hot pot location for the second time, first during the pandemic. Tables are sufficiently far apart and honestly there was only three tables even in use at noon for lunch. The food was delicious the service just the same but outdoors.

Delicious!! Got the spicy soup with meat lovers combo. Make sure to add on an order of quail eggs. Totally worth it!

I love Mumu! I'm still trying to be safe and only do outdoor dining and they are still doing this. They're also really nice and thoughtful - I went a couple days ago when it was super cold and they made sure the heaters were on and brought hot water to drink and checked on us often and showed genuine concern. Food is always great quality and comes fast.

Definitely our go to place. It's dog friendly restaurant where you can sit with your pooch outdoors. Their service is quick. I love their spicy Schezwan soup and Tom yom soup.

I was on a little expensive side for me but for the experience it's the best fit.

I loved this place so much! Individual hot pots, outdoor seating, and vegetation options! The food was delicious and the staff were all super nice. Will absolutely be returning.
