Absolutely loved discovering this spot. At first, I was confused because it is adjacent (inside?) Anthropology. But fear not: the food and the attention is great.

Their bread comes served in a plant pot. They bring the check inside a little book. They have the most amazing options: we had a Cream of Mushroom, truffle fries, and a great veggie burger.

Highly recommend. After a few hours of errands, I needed a bite. I didn't really want to go to the shopping center to eat. That all changed when I walked up and the outside dining. It was busy, but seated outside in the shade, my server Emily was fantastic and guided my through the menu. While I waited I was given fresh baked bread with creamy butter. My fries came shortly there after. The entree "Toad in a hole" (a great spinoff of eggs Benedict) was awesome. It was surreal it was casual, with a warm and friendly staff it reminded me of a 4 star restaurant. When you go, remember to soak it all in, this is an experience you will relish.

Went for coffee and sweets, the dessert wasn't that good, but the service was great. The place itself is very nice with good atmosphere. It's a bummer the restaurant isn't located in the center of the complex, but it's better than the ones that are in my opinion.

A kind of romantic, rustic ambiance with plants all around and twinkle lights. The bread came freshly baked in a flower pot and the butter was deliciously light/very whipped with twinges of sage and thyme. The menu featured a nice array of healthy options, and, at least the harvest bowl, was just as delicious as it sounded and with all its components perfectly cooked. On the fancier end, it’s in a nice in between spot, where it’s not casual but not the super fancy restaurant you need to make reservations for well in advance. Perfect for a romantic date or birthday celebration.

Great place for fresh seasonal ingredients, healthy and hearty choices. Lovely decor and great service. Reasonable prices as well. Tasty bread served hot in a flower pot with a nice butter mixture.

Really REALLY good steak. I will definitely recommend. They also serve this funny type of bread in a pot, I think it's really cool and it's really tasty to eat with mushroom soup. Furthermore, it wasn't too packed and we got the perfect place we wanted.

I love Terrain! The bread is amazing, also try out their cheese board. Main dishes also great. The atmosphere is always happily buzzing but doesn't feel overly loud, and the decor is so bright and nature-y. We come here frequently.

Best dinning experience of our lives , went with my wife had the best anniversary dinner we could ask for , great service compliments to the amazing chef Patrick who even took the time out of his busy day to come and greet us and introduce every item we selected from the appetizers and entree menu. Definitely coming back again and would recommend to any and everyone!

We always come here with my mother for coffee and dessert or breakfast. It is definitely on the pricy side and thus I would recommend to plan for this in advance. This is more for a special morning than a regular one. It's worth it though, the atmosphere is great.

Surprisingly excellent. Went in with low expectations from a store-restaurant, but terrain handily beat them. In fact I'd rate it higher than the true food and any other pricy cafe option at the mall. Bread, beer, breakfast we're all well selected and prepared.

Have had nothing but great meals here. Could use more seating, but overall a great spot. The scallion butter and potted bread you get while you wait is a game changer.

Love the concept with the menus and service was outstanding, had at least 3 employees check on our table and the food was amazing. Highly recommend for lunch, especially if time is a factor

Great place to have brunch before or after shopping at the Palo Alto Shopping Center. The potted baked bread was very tasty 😋😋 and kept it warmer longer 🤗🤗
