Mitchell Park is an underrated gem. You'd think a random park in suburban hell couldn't be that interesting, but this place is in fact a wonderland of sounds, sights, and experiences.

At Mitchell Park I have seen battles being fought, I have seen planets colliding, and I have seen Will-O-Wisps beckon you into the depths of the forest. All to the sounds of pickleball, the eternal sport that THRIVES in Mitchell Park.

Part of the best day of my entire life was spent at Mitchell Park. A day I will never forget, an experience that will always stay with me. Mitchell Park is a glorious, majestic beacon of life, excitement, and beauty. If you visit, you will leave with a renewed sense of appreciation and gratefulness for people, the universe, and your own life. If you're looking for something to do on a random Sunday afternoon, spend it here, in the best park in the entire universe.

This park is so big and it got another park inside called magic bridge and a library. The park has a bbq area , tennis court, pickle ball, a water area for hot days a huge grass area, dog park and so on
3 playgrounds one of them is near the pickle ball area and magical. Ridge is all the way in the back of the park passing the tennis court

Huge park! They have huge fields and many trees and even a big kids playground. Their dog park is cool too. Anyway, it's perfect to take your kid or your pet for a walk.

My daughter loved the Park specially Magical bridge. There are lots of playing options for kids for all ages. Also very good place for picnic. It has big ground where you can sit and relax, have food and enjoy the afternoon. There was also a local band was performing and had a great time. There is no parking or entry fee for the park however can help magical bridge to expand by donating. Small banners posted for donations. You can easily spend 2-3 hours here.

Beautiful park with lots of parking space and multiple activity area. They have 2 play structures for toddlers and big kids separately. They have a soccer field, open auditorium space for dance and other activities. Huge open space for activities and good place for running or a walk.

enormous, beautiful park that can easily host hundreds of people participating in various activities. large, flat grassy fields and a fantastic playground for kids of all sizes to play! (amusing for both adults and children!) i go here to play ultimate frisbee and there's always good, free space on a flat grassy field to mark a field without disturbing anyone else. not too noisy, also great for relaxing! definitely one of the best parks in the area!

It’s a huge park with lots to do - large green space to run around, big playground with water feature, tennis and basketball courts, cafe and library nearby. You can watch people practicing Tai-Chi, other martial arts, playing sports. Parking is big but gets full on weekends as park is very popular.
Restrooms available. Parking is free. EV charging stations by library.

Clean and spacious. Great play areas for different ages. Benches tonsit and watch children. Great saftey measures taken with the cushiony ground and gate around the playground area. Also, nice that there are exercise bikes for adults (12 and older). Overall, its really well laid out and a very nice park.

Huge park in a residential area of palo alto. I went on memorial day, and the park was full of families playing and having cookouts. It was really great seeing all types of people coming together and enjoying the outdoors.

Theres also lots of tennis courts, some (chess) tables under partial cover, and a direct connection to the magical bridge playground for the kids.

Huge park next to the magical bridge playground with many areas for children of multiple ages to explore. Sand area, playground and rocky area to explore. Another playground and climbing structure for elementary school kiddos. And huge grassy area for older kids and adults that's often used for activities!

The park is great and has very characteristic lamps and red fences. The wooden porous structure is fun to climb through. The water park was fun to play in as well, but I don't know if they shut it down due to the drought. Also the sideways tree is fun to climb on

Nice park, good parking, free, restrooms, fences around the playground. Playground for under 2 years old and for older kids (probably good until 12 years old).

Loved it. One of the best parks in the Peninsula. Absolutely huge. It helps that there’s a school next-door that has huge fields connected to it. Like someone else mentioned it’s like five or six different parks added into one. Everything spaced out real nicely And even though there’s little crowded enclaves it just still feels open. Lots of shady spaces lots of open spaces lots of spaces to gather and it was really a cool vibe all together. I even liked what seem to be a cool rough looking dude playing saxophone in the middle of the park. There were nerds playing with foam weapons like they were in the middle ages, hippies doing rope dancing and ribbon dancing on this huge contraption, Tech geeks complaining about Oakland, rich teenagers having picnics, and tons of fun little areas for kids. Especially the splash park. Just wish they would come out and fix the button because it’s a bit sticky and requires some pretty hard hitting to start the sprayer. All in a totally awesome park. Killer vibe. Almost European. Hundreds and hundreds of people doing all kinds of different cool things and never felt overcrowded.
