Sign Hill Park

Beautiful hike, worth the drive!!

I participated in a restoration project at Sign Hill Park. The group played music while we pulled prickly weeds. The local biologist gave a thorough and educational tour of the location and history, along with the indigenous and invasive plants. We worked hard and ended the day with a group picture next to a large pile of weeds.

Nice hill climb for a workout and good views.

Great short hike with an amazing view. Be sure to have good hiking shoes that can catch your fall. Lots of loose gravel and a steep 45 degree angle. Can get windy.

This is a beautiful hike with moderate elevation gain. You’ll be rewarded with sweeping 360 views. There was a fire during the late summer of 2020 so parts of the hill are being restored.

Nearly everyone has seen the South San Francisco The Industrial City Sign. Very few visit. Great fun you can touch the letter. And walk the Ridgeline which has awesome views. Well worth an hour or two on a nice day.

Short walk uphill. Worth it to go with the family and kids

Drive up to Ridgeview ct as the back side of the south SF sign. Also parking is easier there. A nice and steep hill awaits you then you'll take a deep breath and enjoy the view. On a clear day, it's a great spot to watch planes land and take off from SFO.

If you are looking for a change close home this is the place. Natural hill with a beautiful view to South San Fransisco.

Very short hike to the "SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO" sign. Very steep. Don't try to go up if you don't have the right shoe, or, take your time when hiking up.

Great place to go if you are new and want to have fun.

Perhaps one of the most under rated hikes in South city. Climb up this hill to get the most magnificent view of of the bay, South city in Millbrae area. Love going there on weekends

Great hike. Short and steep. Nice views from atop the iconic sign hill letters...

Magnificent views of Bay area, South of SF. Steep paths, especially around the signs. Wear shoes with good grips if you plan on going near the letters written on the hill. The park is worth a visit even if not going around the letters. The letters are very big, and with the differing gradient of the hill, the full sign is not visible near there

Really upsetting after the fire it does not look the same !!

Great spot for a short hike with some awesome views of the bay and South SF (if you go on a clear day). The trails are short but there are some serious inclines so you can still get a little workout in.

Also this isn't like the Hollywood sign. Don't expect to be able to take a selfie with the whole sign in the background while on the trail. Although this might be obvious for everyone else except for me since the sign's letters aren't vertical, lol.

Great hike with friends

Nice view of south city and the bay. Hike to the top is <1 mile with 300ft elevation. Lots of little trails around the hill that can be fun to explore.
