House of Bagels - Palo Alto

What a great bagel shop! I have heard that there is more than one house of bagels location and I can only comment on this location. The service that I get has always been spot on. I've never had a issue with an order I placed there and I have been going to the Palo Alto location for 5 years. The staff are very kind and helpful, and the bagels are made fresh in the giant oven everyday. I recommend you check this out if you're in the area and seeking a tasty snack or meal.

Best bagels in South Bay! Great taste and texture; love the variety of sweet and savory bagels as well as spreads. Very unique bagel flavors like chocolate & apple cinnamon.

Everyone was welcoming and patient while I took in all the possibilities of bagels. Their bagels are perfect and their strawberry cream cheese was to die for. A must stop for breakfast/lunch.

With a doubt one the best bagel shops in the Bay. In my opinion, leaps and bounds better than Izzy’s. They are always super friendly, super fast and polite. I started going there frequently while I was pregnant. One of the few restaurants my stomach could handle. Now I bring my baby girl in and each time she’s instantly greeted with a free mini bagel much to her delight (and ours)! They don’t skimp on ingredients or toppings. We’ve never had a bad experience. You really can’t go wrong but they do have a pretty amazing Lox sandwich.

Super sweet staff, New York style bagels and the quintessential Boars head meat makes me miss New York bagel shops. They do it so well here! Their lox style bagel FREAKIN AMAZING🤤😋

Every time I bite into a bagel sandwich from House of Bagels, I have to close my eyes. It's that damn good. Not to mention the customer service is what you'd expect but don't really get to experience anymore: a warm welcome, fast and effect service and a comfortable and casual atmosphere where you can be a first-time customer but treated like a regular. The owner, Steve, is a great guy through and through. Blessed with the gift of gab, he'll also educate you about their process of boiling the bagels instead of baking them and he's been in the business long enough that he knows what it takes to make customers happy and keep them coming back.

Most Delicious Bagel Sandwhich I have ever had! I ate the other half before I could even take a picture of it. 10/10 will come again! :)

Love this place. The staff are friendly, bagels are good, and they give my toddler a mini bagel when we visit. There’s also lots of seating both inside and in the shopping center if you want to sit outside.

Quality bagels and delicious sandwiches using bagels. Also, it is a convenient, clean yet quiet plaza. Outdoor eating is very enjoyable.

As a native New Yorker, I can say that these are the best bagels in town made the authentic way... boiled and then baked. Great selection of bagels and cream cheese, lox and whitefish. As though they could get any better, you may be lucky enough to get one right out of the oven. A free mini bagel for your kid if you bring them along. Service is great and the staff is friendly.

Best bagels in the Bay Area. Always fresh, and so many choices. They usually run out of many of them by the afternoon. I love the jalapeno ones, the garlic and the everything ones. Lots of cream cheese choices too, as well as drinks (sodas) and desserts. Great food.

I can honestly say that House of Bagels is the best bagel place in Palo Alto, possibly even the Bay Area. I rediscovered this place in the college years and have only continued to feed my obsession. I (ironically) live in NYC now, but can’t find a bagel as satisfying or delicious as this one. I have to get my fix when I come back for visits and HoB is always here producing fresh and delicious bagels. If you’re here an unsure where to get a delicious breakfast, come by and support one of the best!

I have loved coming to house of bagel for the last 24 years. Today i saw a woman leaving and her bag ripped, half her bagels fell on the ground. She looked frustrated and was about to leave one of the employees came out and said he was going to replace them. The took the ones that fell on the ground and went back in yo get her replacement bagels. Great food, great people!!!!

Decent sized bagels and tasty.

Very fresh and tasty bagel sandwiches and fresh squeezed orange juice is my favorite breakfast here.

The bagels turn super hard like rock if not consumed in 3/4 hours. If you want a dozen bagels for next one week, better buy a pack from a grocery store.

The bagels here are delicious, and so is the espresso! I had a cappuccino while waiting for them to compile to Baker's dozens, and it was impressive. Very friendly service, flexible and accommodating staff. I will be coming here again!

The bagel sandwiches are delicious! The staff is incredibly nice. We love to support this place. I recommend the Turkey sandwich on an everything bagel with avocado, especially after a long bike ride on the bay trail nearby.
