Great place for so many reasons.
Beaches, bathrooms, playgrounds, CuriOddysey, boats, walking trails, launches for water activities like stand up paddle boarding, large grassy area for running, flat paved areas good for kids learn to ride bikes, picnic areas with grills that you can reserve, parking, informational signs about history and climate change.
Entry is six dollars per car. If you get the San Mateo County Parks Pass you can visit any time and never pay to enter! Well worth it!
Magic Mountain Playground - large double playground - part for older kids, part for younger kids. All fenced and gated so it's easier to manage littles who like to run.
There is a gun range in the area so you sometimes here the gun practice which can be jarring, annoying, or triggering for some.
Be aware that there is poison oak by the trails in the Eucalyptus Grove.
Beaches are swim at your own risk - no lifeguard.
Coyote Point is close to the airport - so you can watch planes fly in and out of SFO.
There is a second playground close to CuriOddysey.
Dogs are okay on leashes - EXCEPT - where marked "no dogs." Please respect rules regarding dogs! And pick up poop.
Please don't encourage kids to have water balloon fights with those little balloons - they are hard to pick and worsen the micro-plastic problem in soil and sea - not good for people or planet!
CuriOddysey is a WONDERFUL place - it has its own entry fee. Worth a family visit, for sure. Good for all ages to learn about enjoy science and nature.
Mostly non-native plants - such as eucalyptus - but some drought resistant and native California plants have been put in.
This is a wonderful place to spend time in - solo or with friends or family or a community group. Respect, care for, and enjoy this wonderful place.

Visited in Aug 21 and had a great time. Our visit was for fishing and hike and it was great for both. Looks like a great place for kids and sailboarding. They have a nice bait shack and snacks for purchase. Several bathrooms with running water are spread out. The parking fee of six dollars is well worth it.

Coyote Point Recreation Area is very beautiful and well maintained. It is just across the SF International Airport and you can see the planes landing very closely.
The trails are all well maintained. Lots of benches available for picnics. The Eucalyptus Cove is very nice with lots of tall Eucalyptus trees. The views of the Bay are superb. There is open area where folks could be seen flying kites or playing simple games.
Ample parking space split across multiple parking lots. The Marina offers beautiful views of hundreds of moored boats.
We did come across folks who were not wearing masks, so stayed away from them. Lots of shaded area, and as it is close to the Bay might get very chilly, so make sure you carry appropriate clothing.
Entry fee of $6 per car. A fantastic place to spend time with family.

It's ALWAYS a good time at the point. Been coming here since I was a child... The museum, fishing for stripers, walks along the protected environment, Beach with easy access restrooms for the kiddies to reach when theyre so busy playing they refuse to go until the last minute. Bring a kite! The wind perfect for that if you choose to hang by the beachy area. And it's safe, they've got a golf course and an on premises sheriff dept on site.

SOUL STROLL 2014 - This was one of my favorite annual events. I haven't been in years after moving out from the Bay. I miss going every early in May. Sometimes the event was a conflict with Mother's Day plans but, for the most part I definitely went more than a handful of times. I love the interaction with everyone, the raffles, the prizes the option to walk 1, 3 or 5 miles. The fun warm up exercises, the guest speakers, the Annual t-shirts totes, and lunch, the booth giveaways, samples, and a lot of health information. Coyote Point is also a great place and a childhood landmark. It's always been a great place for events, gatherings and they have a lot to offer. Bike trails, Water, Trees, Grass, Exhibits, etc.

If the sky is blue and the sun is shining, Coyote Point is a wonderful place to be! The air is fresh, there are great views across the bay and way marked paths to find your way around and back. Restrooms are provided, BBQ stations and picnic areas. The architectural trees are a delight against the backdrop of the light from the bay. Go there and enjoy!!

Coyote Point Recreation Area including Beach area has been redesigned for flood aversion but what we received is a great beach front area, new bathroom, and wash station. The barbeque areas now have wash stations. The park is now transforming into a comfortable place to picnic.

On our first visit we didn't know where to park. There are many options! We parked next to the museum and went down to the marina.
There are many hikes and different activities you can do here. The cost 6 dollars per car, which I think is fair

I love this place. Helps de-stress and helps you get away from the maddening crowds of the Bay Area. I always pay the toll when I go in but I do see a lot of visitors going in without paying their dues. That's pretty unfortunate given how much the NPS spends on the upkeep of this park. I also go there to watch planes landing into SFO. A few weeks ago I was fortunate to see a Swiss Air Airbus 340 go right overhead. It was awesome!!

Great place for little kids who enjoy slides big and small. On Nov 21st Sunday, the place was full. After or before a visit to the museum nearby it will be a FunDay!!

Beautiful place. You can view tons of aircrafts landing @San Francisco airport. Good place to have small picnics. Park is also very beautiful and clean. Restrooms are pretty clean too. All in all, a great place for photography and small picnics

I mainly stick to the Marina, but do walk through the Recreation Area to see the views from up top, and to walk on the paths through the area. There is a secluded part of the shore you can normally reach from the path behind the Curiosity Museum but it was blocked last time I was there. It's a nice place to walk around.

Great place for family time or just for a walk. A lot of space for picnic and a big playground. There is also a little beach and up to the hill the cat museum. It can get very crowded in the week end. But during the week, it can be very quite.

Lots of room for everyone, and a good way to beat the East Bay heat. Worth the $6 entry fee (cash only). Now allowing dogs **on leash** - although posted policy at gate says “no dogs no pets.”

Lovely park with several paved trails to walk.
