Chavez Supermarket

Good food, meat and a lot of products they have bakery whit delicious cakes. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I made here a cake for my daughter it was amazing. Meat department has deals always.

When you wanna shop Mexican, this is the place, neat and clean.....loved their variety of salsa and crema........ surely will keep going back

Supermarket has an excellent fresh meats section. I love to explore every time I go there. They also have fresh desserts, dine in cafe style space with food, ice cream and juices! Freshly baked breads as well. There is always a friendly security guard around and the staff are very courteous. Don't miss out on the pinatas on the ceiling! Produce is so so, which is surprising. It's on the expensive side for a neighborhood store as well.

I get my salsa and guacamole here by the pound. They also have carnitas, grilled chicken and you can get tacos or any lunch plate to go or dine in. The produce section and meat section is also good..and cheaper than other stores. They make fresh tortillas too.

I love going to Chavez Supermarkets, the place not only looks cleans but smells clean too, especially when you go to purchase meat or seafood. I usually buy hot food their when I can on my break from work.

The service is always great and friendly, you can tell the employees their like being their and it shows in the service they provide. When I buy something to eat is usually nachos, burrito bowl or a burrito song with something to drink.

Very friendly neighborhood grocery store. At the deli the breakfast burrito is the best. Chorizo and egg for me. Try the fried bananas as well. In the back corner you will find tres leches cakes. Wow! The cut fruit in the produce section is really nice. You don't need to speak Spanish to shop here but it does help. When all the milk in the area was sold out at target and Safeway I always went here...

The food is great I always go for the tong burrito 🌯 but man they are hardly put any meat or anything, everything is in very small portions the price Abit hight compare to other places and if you don't ask for salsa they won't give you and if you do it seems they get bather and to finish of some Chavez supermarket won't give that small transparent plastic bag, just the burrito roll in aluminum foil

The market was very tidy and organized when I ordered my first burrito at Chavez Supermarket near Coyote Point in San Mateo. The super burrito with shrimp fajitas was delicious. The best part about the shopping experience at this market and taqueria was the very friendly lady who freshly prepared the burrito and carefully prepared the ingredients to our liking. It's very rare to see this type of customer service with competitors, and I truly hope that the market will reward such service. Unfortunately, I do not have the name of the lady who prepared the food. It was my first time at this specific location.

Authentic Mexican market. The produce is beautiful and so fresh and at a good price! You can get precooked meats and beans, rice or marinaded to take home a cook yourself. Definitely come here atleast once a week. Everyone who works there has been so kind and helpful. You want to shop here!

I really enjoyed this market. They have lots of different items from different places, and very fresh on their produce!.. I'm from sf, ill be definitely coming here for my meats produce and others!!!

Went only to the restaurant side. I went for the goat 🐐. The goat was good.

It's a small grocery story, but has a lot of selection on meats. We always get meats from there for BBQ. Their home made beef jerky is super tasty, and they have a small deli section, but I haven't tried it yet.

Produce is always fresh and the meat selection is good as well. Love the desserts and in store made chips and tortillas. Oh and the salsas, crema, and fresh cheese are a must.

Their products are of first quality. The workers are very helpful and humble. It feels as we are members of their immediate family.

Always my go-to when in the neighborhood. I moved away but when I am in the neighborhood and in need of something, this is my go-to. Good service. Fast and friendly. Always clean and the workers are so attentive and always ready to help.

Store is clean and has great produce . Their quality of meat is the best. You will pay alittle bit more but it's worth it. I always enjoy shopping there.

Smaller version than other Chaves markets but very clean and well organized. Fresh meats are excellent as are the house tortilla chips!

Been meaning to stop in and try the Taqueria. Nice dining area with lots of tables and chair. Portions are a bit small but I knew this in advance. They sponsor many community events I've been to. Had the tostada. When I paid for it using mobile payment the cashier referred to it as a tostada salad. A small veggie cup is extra here.

Great meat section with quality fresh meat. Great prices as well. Hot food area is decent, doesn't match my taste buds. I prefer greasy Mexican food.
