Sunnyside Conservatory

Recently made a trip here for a small event. The conservatory sits in a residential area so parking can be difficult but was a wonderful site to visit. The walk up to the building provides an assortment of plant life that was well cared for and very pretty. Some are labeled while some are not. The walk up to the small event building is very peaceful and serene while the building itself is very well built. The event center had multiple windows offering a great view of the scenery around it while providing a small but comfortable space for small events with restrooms located just outside of the main event building. The walkway does connect between two streets and various types of plants can be found between the two. Really enjoyed the feeling of calm and peacefulness despite being just off the residential street.

A lot of plants in bloom right now! Cool historic building. Small but very quaint. And so peaceful and serene. Would be a great place to bring a book and spend a few hours.

The area is so beautiful and well maintained. Its not that big but has a wide collection of palm trees.

We hald a memorial service for Jim McCamant at the Conservatory and it was a wonderful venue with a lot of light and nice landscaping that created a memorable experience for all who attended. Parking was not too much of a problem and the attendant helped us to set up chairs and tables.

Beautiful garden with seating and lots in bloom almost any time of year. I have yet to go and see nothing in bloom - it feels like a magical place for that reason.
You have to make a reservation to enter inside the building - there are no plants inside.
There are neat plants outside I've never seen before, such as the barrel tree and a giant Norfolk pine I'm used to seeing in 6inch pots during Christmas time. Beautiful collection of large succulents and bromeliads. This place cures depression when it's not rainy outside.

I live in the neighborhood and this place is such a gem and blessing for all. These sorts of places are what make a city a home. Hope everyone else stays away so that I can enjoy it myself :)

My daughter had her wedding here and it is a very cozy and intimate setting. The building has a warm inviting feeling, old wood construction and surrounded by exotic plants. There is no parking lot, it's street parking only, and on Sunday, we had to park 2 blocks away. But that was a very small inconvenience for the beautiful venue we enjoyed for 7 hours.

Beautiful little park is a nice place to stop and hang out. The park is locked up at night. The main entrance on Monterey St. has a stairway and an ADA compliant ramp. There is also an entrance on Joost Ave. with a stairway down to the Conservatory building. The building is only open for events such as weddings, performances, etc.

A wonderful landmark building park in our neighborhood. It’s a bit off track but a great place to sit and read a book or used as a hidden stairway up to our home

Beautiful and serene spot in the city perfect place to host a small wedding or enjoy a romantic picnic with a loved one. The gardners here take great pride in their work and it shows.

A neighborhood gem. Beautifully renovated, with well-maintained landscaping. The informational placards are thorough and intriguing. This place should host more community concerts and events.

The best place to host a private party or wedding in the City of San Francisco, bar none. Beautiful grounds, refurbished Victorian building and walking distance to BART. Safe neighborhood, too.

Love the collection of plants here, makes for a great but quick walk or just sitting and reading a book through greenery in the middle of 2 streets. The actual conservatory is closed in covid.

This is a beautiful garden park with an amazing beautiful building in the middle. I strongly recommend coming and seeing this gorgeous secret jewel of San Francisco!

Friendly and helpful volunteers, great layout for dogs and cats, and free parking! Awesome facility.

A very cool place . I imagine it to be a place for a Wedding or just a place to experience solitude.
