I was in the need of a change. I found this shop online and decided to give it a try. Troy was my barber and I told him to get creative. He did not disappoint me. The shop has a great atmosphere and I felt right at ease. I'll be back. Next time I'll try a shave!

Since I have been going to Tom for my cut, I get compliments all the time.
Tom is excellent at his craft and also makes recommendations to suit my personality and vibe.
I like my style to be a little edgy and Tom always comes through.
When Tom is away, I have had Julian and he is great too.
As a woman, I can tell you that you will get the salon style and cut without the prices by going here.

I'm visiting San Mateo and just did a walk in here and got my hair cut by Christian. He does good work and gave me a great cut. It's probably best if you call and make an appointment. Lowkey and friendly atmosphere at a great price.

First time getting a haircut in the bay area since I moved out here. Called the shop and I got my appointment set. I asked for their price and then I started browsing different shops to match prices. Yes, some of them had $17 for a cut when Around the edge quoted me over $20 for an appointment but I did more research. I browsed their instagram, read yelp reviews and I noticed they had no reviews on google. Well I took the chance and went right after work as I was running about five minutes late. The barber actualy waited for me instead of taking some one else since I scheduled the appointment. Now I dont recommend being too late but they all have their personal number in case you need to let them know your running late. After settling down and a hair cut later my barber gave me what I asked, old fashion look with a hard part. I think I found my new barber and I will soon be scheduling another appointment. Overal I had a great great experience, No waiting, No long line, No rundown barber shop, No stabing hair cut. Just a normal barber shop, how it should be!

Best atmosphere, barbers and prices you can find. Felt like my barber actually cared about the cut I was getting. $25 for a hair cut and $5 for a beard trim is a total steal for the top quality cut that I got. I'll never go to a different barber again.
